“We visited a few years ago, in 2018 and bought several bottles of Red Barn Red. Tonight 2/15/2025, I opened our last bottle. It held its color and flavor. We are really enjoying this lovely wine. I think it's time to visit Truckee, again. Cheers!“

“I was searching for food that was not crowded, admittedly I was overwhelmed by the weekenders that flock from all over cities that were crammed in the shopping district. I spotted a church building with a small sign that said, cafe open, as I was making my way out of town with haste. Alas, I found exactly what I needed. Score, big time. It is a beautiful, tranquil space, and the sandwich I had, Ban mi (add turkey)...beyond exquisite. The lavender drink concoction was eloquent and refreshing. Go here for a zen delicious af meal and very nice service.“

“Came here to watch the 49ers vs Ravens along with 100s of other people. The “General Manager” (not on site) REFUSED to allow the on site staff to turn down the crappy background music and turn up the sound on the game. WHY??? How about an explanation directly from this person whose name I know but will not post???“
“We were in Truckee for the day and wanted something different. This was the perfect place! Outdoor dining was amazing balls! Comfy setting, like your own outside patio. The food was exactly what we wanted! A watermelon non alcoholic spritz was so refreshing. Not sweet but more blended fruity mix. A hot tasty sandwich, perfectly crispy sweet potato fries and that day.. a velvety French onion soup. It was a different type of bread, bunch of spices and big slice of the cheese! So much cooked onions and a broth that tasted like it was cooked for hours, to get a deep rich beef taste. Staff was so friendly and nice. Will be going back to try their pizzas and salads!“

“Great place rode the gondola up from North Star village. Our server Max was amazing! Food was great, atmosphere amazing. Definitely good place after a long day of skiing kids loved it too. Drinks were amazing too. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you off. Definitely come here and enjoy good food, drinks and atmosphere. It’s pricy but it’s the Ritz sooooooo.

“I got the 1/2 tritip plate with coleslaw and rice with tortillas. Very tasty and fills you up. My daughter got the 1/2 chicken (which is literally half of a chicken) with coleslaw and rice with garlic bread and she brought half home. it was all tasty.“

The selection of health conscious and organic products is amazing! The owner has really made the most of his quant store(“homey” and clean!) ;and the staff is so friendly and helpful ! “Enjoyed a delicious dinner here with my boyfriend! The service was fantastic, the wine and food were delicious and we hope to return! I had tomato soup and grilled cheese, we both enjoyed wine tasting flights and my bf had a wagyu burger! All very delicious! Many vegetarian options as well :)

“I’ve been coming to the Wagon Train Coffee Shop for years and they never fail to serve up the best biscuits, gravy and sausage in the USA! “This place closes at 10pm. They let me order for takeaway at 10:30 when everything else was closed. To my most pleasant surprise, I got a paneer that was absolutely delicious, paired with equally delicious basmati rice and mango lassi. They were incredibly kind and gracious, and the food was fantastic. All of the food containers were absolutely filled to the brim, so I have leftovers for tomorrow. The medium spicy was more of a medium-hot spicy, but paired with the rice and the lassi it was perfect. Highly recommend!!“

“Stopped in for a birthday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Guy Ferrari has eaten here before and it was featured on his show Diners, Drive in’s and Dives! I had the real crab grilled cheese and the bison chili and it was a great combo.“
