“Stopped in Truckee to see the Donner Museum on our way farther west and had breakfast here. Amazing food and more than reasonable prices (we got the early bird special, half off breakfast - under $40 for three large meals and coffee).

The sourdough toast with homemade blackberry jam was AMAZING. Only regret is they don't sell it by the jar.“

“I was searching for food that was not crowded, admittedly I was overwhelmed by the weekenders that flock from all over cities that were crammed in the shopping district. I spotted a church building with a small sign that said, cafe open, as I was making my way out of town with haste. Alas, I found exactly what I needed. Score, big time. It is a beautiful, tranquil space, and the sandwich I had, Ban mi (add turkey)...beyond exquisite. The lavender drink concoction was eloquent and refreshing. Go here for a zen delicious af meal and very nice service.“

The owner not only welcomed the wet, muddy riders in, she put out space heaters and wrapped us in blankets! Amazing! I was so cold and was warmed both physically and emotionally by the kindness. The planning process was seamless. Through a series of phone calls, meetings, and emails, their team guided us through our options and helped bring our vision together. The private yard offered a warm, relaxing atmosphere for our guests, complete with lawn games like bocce ball and cornhole. We loved the layout, which featured well-placed seating, umbrellas, food stations, and a bar setup.

Staff & Service
Management: Tyler, the manager, took incredible care of us throughout the entire evening, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Catering & Service: Chef Marshall and his culinary team prepared a delicious, beautifully presented spread of boards and appetizers. The service staff was attentive, friendly, and top-tier.
If you are considering hosting an outdoor event, we cannot recommend Stella highly enough!“

Our family of 18 had arranged ahead of time to have dinner here for my dad’s 80th birthday, but we were also hoping to surprise my dad with line dancing lessons after dinner as he’s always wanted to try it but hadn’t had the chance. Although TNBC has public line dancing events every 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings, we were only in town in between those times. They graciously worked with us to have their dance instructor Kendall available for us! She was super for our group and it was a dream come true for my dad. Very memorable. Thanks TNBC! “Very friendly here, and they do not rush you. Caution: if you mention “spicy” it will be precisely THAT. There is mild or very spicy, no in between. The food is terrific and not over priced even considering the area. Recommend the cheese naan over the garlic. Great place!“

“Great dinner and wine at Petra! It is located in the charming Northstar village, which is very active with a roller rink, different restaurants, gelato, coffee shops, and a candy shop. Petra is the cozy vibe of the village! Great wine options- I loved the Cabernet Sangiovese. Nice guy behind the bar recommended the chicken meal and it was so good- I ate every bite! The Brussels sprouts were so crispy and yum, the chicken was tender, and the hummus was delicious. Will come back for the dessert!“

“We were in Truckee for the day and wanted something different. This was the perfect place! Outdoor dining was amazing balls! Comfy setting, like your own outside patio. The food was exactly what we wanted! A watermelon non alcoholic spritz was so refreshing. Not sweet but more blended fruity mix. A hot tasty sandwich, perfectly crispy sweet potato fries and that day.. a velvety French onion soup. It was a different type of bread, bunch of spices and big slice of the cheese! So much cooked onions and a broth that tasted like it was cooked for hours, to get a deep rich beef taste. Staff was so friendly and nice. Will be going back to try their pizzas and salads!“
