“We had food catered & delivered from them. All the food was authentic, super tasty, well packaged and presented. Everyone loved it & mentioned multiple times. I recommend them wholeheartedly. We ordered Chicken Curry, Dal Makhani, Paneer Veggie Sabji, Raita, Naan, Rice, Salad & Rose Kheer. Rose Kheer was so yummy. Chicken Curry tasted homemade Punjabi. It was delicious. Paneer Sabji & Daal were also very yummy. Spices were mild. You can't go wrong by ordering from them.“

“Dosa. Crispy. Served with unlimited delicious sambar and chutney. Which are vegan. And just the right amount of salt/spice. Oh and the potato masala (the masala in masala dosa) is great too. 5/5 right there. They also have (mostly) clearly marked vegan options on the menu for the other items, some of which can be had for takeout. But dosa is dine in only as it should be.“

“I'm always on the lookout for Malvani and Goan restaurants, and Mumbai Chowk is by far the best find!
We tried the fish thali and Malvani chicken, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and perfectly prepared.
The owner, Abdul, is incredibly warm and friendly, happily customizes meals to our taste, and personally checks in after meals to ensure everything is perfect.
The restaurant itself is spacious and spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving flavorful Malvani food!“

“Great ambience and vibe on a Saturday evening! We went for a birthday dinner and it lived upto our expectations. The food was different and really good. We ordered a vegetarian meal and you will want to try the taro root chaat, bellwether kebabs and plantain kebabs served with thecha. What topped for us was the flaxseed poee! A fermented bread with burani raita, eggplant choka and avocado dip! Main course we ordered cabbage curry which was average and more vegetarian main course can be added! A must go !“

“Most of their menu items were good. Service was fast. But their Chinese sizzler was not up to the mark. Brownie with icecream was sumptuous with nicely loaded with chocolate syrup poured spot on. Ambience could be overwhelming for some people as it’s heavy with low lighting.“

“PSA they have dessert dosas now. For the adventurous eater, I’m sure.
Been coming here for a few years, since they opened.
Consistently excellent dosas. Probably the only dosa place I drag people to from out of town.
This used to be a Mexican restaurant so a lot of the lively colors have been kept.
Pretty inexpensive and a great place to go to after a busy Costco shopping session next door.
Gets busy on the weekends. Come around 5pm on a weekday to get quick service and the freshest of the day.
The staff are incredibly polite and professional. Packaging is great.
Living the Fremont dream ✌🏼“

“It was an amazing experience at Chatpatta Corner, run by a hardworking and welcoming family serving delicious vegetarian Indian food.
The vibe and ambience is very family-friendly and makes you crave more for the typical desi street food.
We enjoyed Pani Puri, Aloo Paratha, Tikki Choley, Dahi Papdi Sev Puri, Kachori with Chutney and Aloo Sabji, and the super-special Kulfi with Gulab Jamun!
The variety they offer is truly amazing, and I have to come again to try the other delicacies!

“Hosted a traditional party in this venue recently and we were very impressed! The hall was very nice and clean! The backdrop was awesome! It was a one-stop shop. The owner was pleasant to work with and very professional. He made sure everything was covered. The staff were all great, as well! Would recommend this venue anytime! Thank you“

“Idly Express is a great spot for South Indian food lovers, especially if you’re craving soft, fluffy idlis and crispy dosas. The food is fresh, flavorful, and served relatively quickly. Their chutneys and sambar are well-spiced and complement the dishes perfectly.
Service is generally good and Pricing is reasonable for the quality of food offered.“

“Keeku Da Dhaba serves some amazing chicken kababs—juicy, buttery, and packed with flavor! The food is definitely worth it, but the wait time can be a bit long. Fortunately, they accept phone orders, which makes things more convenient. Overall, a great spot for delicious, flavorful food. Will be back to try more!“

“Great taste and good quantity. The ambience could be better but unbeaten taste.
Edit: lately the masala in the dosa is reduced to bare minimum. My last order barely had any masala in it. Just a spoon full in the entire dosa.“

“Always great food, welcoming host / staff creating a nice vibe and atmosphere. Standard South Indian food options, with good dosas and Idlis, fantastic medhuvada. The paneer quality is also really nice as it's really soft, unlike so many other places.“

“We have always done takeout usual stuff (Biriyani) from Annachikadai, Pleasanton. Today is the second time we did dine in. And ordered unusually their chicken 65 for appetizer, Parotta and Kal Dosa for main course. One of the best Kal Dosa I have ever had!! The chicken 65 - my kid loved it so much, cleaned up the plate! Thank you for offering such delicious food, cooked healthy, without the food coloring etc.“

“Walking in, I loved the energetic, street‑food–style decor—it feels like a busy chowk in Mumbai itself. The staff were warm and enthusiastic, and I got chatting with the owner about the menu, which adds a personal, passionate touch that’s rare these days.
I tried a mix of dishes: balti paneer (perfectly spiced and creamy), garlic naan that was just the right balance of soft and toasted—all solid choices.
Portions are generous, prices are reasonable for the level of quality, and the casual counter-serve setup keeps things relaxed.
Overall, Mumbai Chowk nails the authentic Mumbai street‑food experience in Newark. Great food, friendly vibes, and a real sense of care in every dish—they’ve earned a returning customer with me.“

“Stopped by for some vegan dinner. We had the vegan momo, tofu noodle soup and tofu curry. Food was good, the front desk guy was super friendly and helpful when we ordered. It is a take away place, but they have some tables if you want to eat there (we sat down for dinner)..
Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options“

“Upon entry, I found the associates courteous with their smiles and slight bowing from the waist. A very Asian trait that, on top of the recording of the music of internationally renowned Arjit Singh in the background, added authenticity to the place. The servers were professional yet very warm and friendly. I ordered the flat bread with broccoli and onions, with a request to tone down the spiciness because of a previously bad experience with Indian food in San Diego. The flat bread was served hot with the delicious aroma of the spices wafting from the generous helping of the round bread that filled the entire 12" diameter pan! I was able to see and enjoy the taste of both the broccoli and onions in the flat bread. It was even served with a side of sliced fresh onions in vinegar and soy sauce together with another side of white sauce that tasted like cream of broccoli soup. Everything on the table, including a complimentary mango-with-yogurt drink, was a perfect blend, and I did not have to drench the table napkin nor my shirt with my sweat due to the level of spices tolerated by Indians but excessive to non-Indians. They gave me, a non-Indian, a spicy meal that I relished earlier this evening! Kudos to the entire staff!“

“Food was fantastic! Portions are small allowing for a variety of foods for breakfast. The ambience is like a basic cafe with minimal service. My only sore point is the pricing given the ambience. The cost per dosa or idly here is slightly higher than other South Indian restaurants in Bay Area. This is definitely pricey for the low key ambience offered“

“We were here on a Friday to pick up pizza and we were debating whether we should eat at the restaurant or take it home and eat it. The sitting area is big but it seems mostly empty so we decided to take it home. The pizza is in great taste, as we ordered the chicken tikka masala and achari chicken pizza large size. The service is great, good taste good too. There's lots of free parking available and I feel they should have more opportunities for people to sit there and eat... Maybe they can add something to their ambience that can tempt people to sit there and eat.“

“insanely good indian food. This has been my favorite restaurant since around 2021, and I have never stopped coming here. They have the best tikka masala i've ever had. I reccomend getting it with paneer because sometime the chicken can be a little bit dry. Their garlic naan is also super good.“

“Wish I took a photo.
Dhai golgappas amazing.
The pani puris were to die for. Definitely try the pineapple and mango.
I did knock off a point for the chole because the gravy tasted like it was chili puree. I love spicy but it was hard to taste the massala over the sukhi or dry chili taste.
Everything about this place is amazing. Just the chana needs a little bit of work.“

“Amazing service. We were super hungry after late ending of a show and all nearby places were crowded with long waits. So we found Mamta’s on Yelp and called them at a whim. They told us that they are closing in a couple of minutes, yet offered to get us to go. I requested if we could dine in to enjoy fresh hot food and surprisingly they said yes.
So we got there and asked for Dosa, Veg thali and some chaat. Then we asked if we could get chai and guess what! They said yes! I mean who does that (who = Indian restaurant).
Overall amazing service. With a smile (rarity in and of itself) and very welcoming. Food was fresh and delicious.
We plan to go there again next weekend?“
