“Such a beautiful and amazing place! the food was superb and the service was top-notch. The only downside is that it gets crowded and even though we had a reservation we had to wait for 15 minutes. Overall, I recommend visiting at least once!“

“My food and cocktail was genuinely some of the best I've ever had but the portions sizes for the price is very poor. I had the rendang mamuk with the nasi ayam rice. For $46 for the both (yes they are seperate, 42 for the meat, 4 for the rice), I felt the rice should've been included or have at least a bigger portion.“

“We often visit Wabi, and are regulars at this amazing restaurant. We've sat inside, outside and at the bar. The experience is great and different every time. The food is amazing, the vibes are energetic and aesthetic, and we've been treated well by the people who work there. We ran into an issue with our service, and notified a hostess of our issue, who ended up being the manager. She profusely apologized for this inconvenience, corrected the issue and our service was impeccable for the rest of the night. Wabi is always a treat.“

“I’m new to this not true to this lol. I never had Mortadella and it being pork scared me. I still ordered the La Paradiso (Mortadella, Stracciatella, Pistachio Cream, & Pistachio crumbles) bc WTH right? And I enjoyed it. It’s not like OMG but it feels really nice and comforting to eat. I’m glad I left it alone and didn’t substitute for Turkey! I would definitely buy again. The pistachio cream is very light but flavorful along with nuttiness and I never had such combination with a savory bread.
I know I’m going to be thinking about it for days. It leaves a nice after taste lol! It is $20 but it’s a big sandwich. I think it’s worth the price. Quality ingredients!“

“went here on a night out with friends! The drinks were really good and the vibe was great! The DJ was good too although people were shy to dance. Would definitely recommend! Only ding is I wish the bartenders were able to recommend drinks better.“

“I lived in Venice before the pandemic, and remember Gjusta having the most incredible cold brew and pastries. 5+ years later, only the cold brew holds up. The pastries are fine, but they lack the crispy flakiness that separates a great pastry from a good one. The flies have also become a big problem out back. Still love Gjusta, but some of the shine has definitely worn off. Where can a man get a great pastry in LA??“

“7 years between visits and still as amazing. The coffee is an experience. An absolute must have.
We also opted for a pear cake , a sprinkle donut and chocolate chip sea salt cookies.
Wish they had a Menotti’s where we live.“

“Clutch is an amazing place with incredible food! I ordered the L.A. Street Dog and the Veggie Burrito. The L.A. Street Dog was absolutely delicious—the sausage was one of the best I've ever had. The burrito was rich and fresh, and the food felt like it was made with the love you'd get from your mom or grandma. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!“

“love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.“

“Busy little place. I recommend ordering ahead. My son is a big fan and most of the sandwiches. I tried the vegetarian eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious. My daughter got the caprese with gluten free bread. She gave it a thumbs up. My mom has had a breakfast sandwich which was good too. Great place near the boardwalk for a sandwich. Eggplant fries with tomato sauce was the best.
Vegetarian options: They have a vegan sandwich on the menu. I have had it before it was good but online I didn’t notice it. There are a few vegetarian choices. They have almond ricotta on one.“

“I never write reviews - ever - but I have to go out of my way and say that the security/bouncers at this bar were PHENOMENAL. My friends and I gave them the smallest inkling we were feeling unsafe due to some of the other patrons... and they took us seriously immediately, protected us, walked us to our rideshares, and made sure we weren't bothered even one more time after we told them about the person being a problem. My sincerest THANK YOU! You are good men!! <333 (P.S. THIS is the kind of stuff that makes people want to come back to an establishment. :) 5 stars.)“

“I truly adore this place. My cousin with celiac who rarely vacations came to visit me. I was panicked as I am new to LA and most places I found were not 100% gluten free. I came across this gem and we were both obsessed. We even went in two nights in a row! The food and wine are superb and every employee is dynamic, kind, informative, and all-around lovely. They also introduced me to my new favorite wine: Moravia for life! Very thankful to 401k for making my cousin’s trip and for cementing itself as one of my new favorite places.“

“On vacation with friends, we decided to stop here to eat. Firstly, we appreciated the contact with the staff, who were adorable and attentive to us from the first seconds. We ordered two spaghetti carbonara (special) and it was delicious!!!! At the end of the meal, the manager took the time to chat lightly with us. This restaurant is flawless. Both for the welcome and the taste! Thank you“

“Where has this place been all my life?
For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.
This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover photo.
My current obsessions:
Kpop Fries – Highly addictive. Proceed with caution.
Korean BBQ Banh Mi – Pure flavor explosion.
Chimichurri Steak – That sauce… someone needs to bottle it.
My only struggle here? Picking just one entrée per visit. Since I’ve hopped on the LA intermittent fasting train, I only get one big meal a day—meaning each visit is basically a full-on palate crisis.
If bold flavors and creative comfort food are your thing, put Lokal at the top of your list. And if you spot a guy with blonde hair, built shoulders, and the expression of someone facing the toughest decision of his week—that’s probably me.“

“Consistently good food! We always go here and usually have a line. They have 2 small tables on the side, no seats. Tried the chicken, asada, lengua, and al pastor. $2/taco as of 5/2025. Park on the street. Ralphs parking lot now has a sign that their customers can not park there.“

“This is another gem I take visitors to all the time, mostly for a late breakfast. I come here for 20+ years. I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.“

“Authentically unique and super sweet! Let's talk matcha.... it's imported from Japan and not frozen, so it's super potent and not so bitter. The customer service is super on point and it's unique because there is a skin care boutique as you enter on the right and then towards the back and yoga studio. So very neat! This place is charming in so many ways we will be back“

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Flowerboy Project on our interview date. I had heard of the illustrious Flowerboy Project from not only friends in the Venice Beach area, but also from digital word-of-mouth as well as praise from the Los Angeles Coffee Guide. Since starting this endeavor, floral type coffees (i.e. rose, lavender, etc.) had become my jam, and I was genuinely intrigued with how the shop functions as both a florist and a coffeeshop, so why not follow through on my curiosity? Well, I definitely was not disappointed in my adventure and am already excited to make my way back! The nice thing about Flowerboy Project is that it’s located in a relatively quieter part of Venice. It’s close enough to the beach and the popular Abbot Kinney area without the heavy crowds, yet still gets enough foot traffic for locals to discover it and stay afloat as a business. It’s a smaller shop that can fill up quickly at the peek ‘I need coffee, stat!’ hours, but if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat inside you will never want to leave! The lush, garden/botanical-like atmosphere is highlighted with Insta-worthy gold and pastel accents to add a slight trendy feel with a playlist dedicated to classic surf rock reminiscent of its location. Now, all you need is one of their signature coffees and a yummy pastry and you’ll want to make Flowerboy your new favorite shop!“

“Wish there was one in the LBC but probably good there isn't bc I'd be spending like all my money there lol. Moon Juice will always be my absolute fave. It's my personal vision for the future. High nutrient, apothecary level, zero waste food available as plentiful as McDonald's lol. So thankful for the creatrix that is Amanda Chantal Bacon and all she has taught me and enriched my existence with! The flagship location is amazing and I make my way there anytime I'm in the vicinity. I love the girls who work there and appreciate the thoughtful chats and shilajit shots. 😉“

“This is one of my favorite Starbucks on the Pacific Ocean. Grabbing a drink and stepping out on the patio for a minute offers the best SoCal moment. Away from the hustle of the boardwalk (the patio is protected) but high enough you can see the water, it's perfect. If you're wanting to see the sunset and don't want to walk to the shore, this is the best place in Venice Beach. Staff is friendly, the coffee drinks are good and the views are perfect. My favorite Starbucks in the Los Angeles are.“
