“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

My girlfriend loved her chocolate mousse, which was rich and decadent. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and a great vibe!“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

Parking: I parked in the paid parking garage at the Culver steps; paid $2 after dobe with lunch so assume good for ~2 hours. My coworker found street parking 1-2 blocks away if you want to try to find street parking but $2 is reasonable
Party size: 4
Environment/ambience: smallish place with few tables and some outdoor seating. No TVs inside; not too loud inside. Pets allowed but prob outdoor only. Clean restrooms. Lots of things to see and visit around too; downtown Culver City has things within walking distance and outdoor grass areas to hang out around
Service: was great; came around often. Friendly too.
Food: had the W Chashu Ramen with egg; they do not serve alcohol here.
Cost: ~$140 with tip; $2 parking.
Would I go back (yes/no): 80/20; parking can be a hassle but food was great“

Their crust is perfectly crispy yet chewy, loaded with fresh toppings that burst with flavour-like that Margherita with juicy tomatoes and silky mozzarella. “Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. “Solid brunch menu (I had the oysters and the Eggs Benedict with a Brut Rose Champagne and the trifle for dessert). My server Corbin was very friendly and attentive. The outdoor space is cool, trendy, and hip, but not over-the-top. The music pulses, but it’s not a distraction to conversation. I’ve been looking for good places since moving to LA almost 6 months ago. This was one of the few times I wasn’t disappointed.“

“HELLO THE BAGEL IS HUGE?? I find it extremely fascinating how Layla Bagels is right next door, although after having tried Jyan Isaac, I think they serve different audiences.

Jyan Isaac has more diverse offerings beyond bagels, from bread to pastries, and their cream cheese is absolutely heavenly with its stronger flavor, reminiscent of Courage Bagels’ cream cheese. The combination of everything actually on the bagel wins the Layla Laika but there’s definitely still some room for improvement in the produce quality when compared to their competitor next door. However, there is no line here and a lot more seating while still capturing the vast majority of the bagel-eating experience!“

Thank you so much for correcting the situation, I’m glad faregrounds has integrity and amazing customer service. Yesterday I tried the spicy don and banana matcha - both were so delicious. I loved the crispy chicken in it , I’m so impressed that it’s completely organic and no bad oils. As for the matcha it wasn’t overly sweet, it was just right. I really want to try your other options next.

3/27/26 - Unfortunately I did not like the food. I ordered the cheesesteaks and it grossed me out. Why dont you guys cut off the fat. You really think I want to pay $20 for a sandwich full of blubber?“

We were able to sneak in a quick breakfast before our whale tour at the Little Italy location, and thank goodness we did! My only regret is not visiting every single day for their exceptional breakfast and high-quality juices! I ordered the All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha. I mean, holy moly. The delivery was beautifully executed and built perfectly. The blue corn waffle was moist yet firm. My mother ordered the Shakshuka - another favorite dish of mine that WOWed. “We went on Valentine's Day, and it turned out to be such a lovely and memorable experience for both of us at the Brazilian steakhouse. From the start, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and Ellie was especially kind. She checked in on us and made us feel genuinely cared for along with the hostess who was amazing. We even shared how disappointing our Valentine's Day dinner last year had been elsewhere, which made this experience feel like a complete and refreshing opposite in the best way. Everything from the service to the pacing and overall vibe was fantastic, and the food was outstanding, with the seasoned beef easily being our favorite among the delicious cuts. Overall, it was a wonderful Valentine's Day that we'll truly look back on fondly and we will definitely be back again!“

“When I first walked in, I questioned if I should stay or leave. However, it smelled very good so we decided to stay. My friend and I ordered two dishes to share. I ordered a pizza based off the chef recommendation and it was thin crust without outstanding taste. We also ordered the pennetye Alle vodka with sausage. The sauce was so amazingly good. The garlic bread was also fantastic. Very unique from most places garlic bread. Service was a little slow, but was worth the wait. Great job definitely will be back again soon.“

“Tried this spot in LA and came away really impressed. The momos were done right across the board, but the kurkure momos definitely stood out—crispy on the outside with a ton of flavor, and the cilantro mayo paired perfectly with them. We also had the chili momos, which had a nice level of heat without taking over the dish. The paneer veggie momos were fresh, well-seasoned, and really satisfying too. Overall, everything felt balanced and thoughtfully made. Definitely a place I’d come back to and try more from the menu.“
