“A wonderful little spot. A bit hard to find as it is without a sign, but it does give it a local's only allure. The interior is modern, littered with games for those inclined, and in the evening, lit quite romantically by candles. The west side is underserved by good Vietnamese food (though it's gotten better in the past few years) and of the few that dot our beach city, Camp is among the best of them. The portions are generous, the broth doesn't skimp on flavor as many Pho shops do, anise, ginger, sweet and savory are well balanced and their flavor comes out well in the broth. There is a richness that exudes through the broth that can often be lacking in places that throw their broth together quickly or fortify with premade broth flavoring. The egg rolls are prodigiously stuffed, brimming with shrimp and crab and fried in rice paper wrappers giving us an authentic central Vietnamese experience. Then there are chef Jon's fusion spins on the classics, like the ability to add bok choy or an egg to the bowl of pho. The butcher's bowl has brisket, filet, and meatballs, evoking a Thai Boat Noodle which is also a step in the right direction. Perhaps the prices are a bit higher than a lot of Pho places, but you are definitely getting your bang for your buck. There is a lot of detail and craftsmanship going on here, both in the food and the interior. I'm excited to see where Camp goes from here.“
“Don't be fooled by the simple setup of this restaurant. It looks like a joke in the wall place but the tacos and burritos are legit! Go get the tongue tacos as the tongue meat is the most tender and juiciest of all cuts. This time I got a monster burrito which has huge portions and tons of fillings. Oh, and don't forget to ask for pickled carrots!“
“First time here tonight (on a Friday) and what a cute place! Love the little wooden bridge as you enter the restaurant, cherry blossom faux tree and Japanese decor. There's even a couple of cute private dining rooms & a small outdoor eating area. Service was attentive and friendly. Shout out to Jose. Food was great! Miso Soup - Seaweed Salad - hubby said it was meh as he didn't eat much of it Black Cod - flavorful, tender & perfectly flaky Mixed Green Salad - great Truffle Salmon Carpaccio - hubby said it was good & fresh Yellowtail Jalapeño - hubby said it was good & fresh Albacore Sashimi - hubby said it was good & fresh King Salmon Sashimi - hubby said it was good & fresh Would definitely come back if in the Santa Monica area again. Oh and love the cute "wallet" the check is placed in & given to you. @travel_lifestyle_chow“
“This had to be our first stop when getting to LA, very close to the airport which was super convenient! Very clean, and delicious options. We got the “Best Sandwich” and it lived up to its name! Lots of fresh juice options, grab and go food items. Love the vibe and the owner is very friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend.“
“If you’re ever in the Southbay in LA do yourself a favor and source this seafood gem. It’s ALWAYS busy and I don’t like waiting in line but I will here. The benefit of seafood being fresh is because they sell enough that it’s always excellent. There providers must love the account and take good care of them.Okay, ceviche is a must do with tostada chips, avocado and a slew of hot sauces and a self serve salsa station that also offers marinated white onion ribbons and wonderful whole roasted yellow chiles dusted with a red tangy red spice.Tacos come with a variety of seafood options, I suggest the battered fish as a beginning test since you will come back for them anytime you go again, just trust this.Prices are reasonable and the staff are very happy, why not, everyone eating there are friggin happy too. Parking can be a buzzkill but you’ll figure it out.“
“Casual family-run Vietnamese spot that serves classic eats. Came here for dinner at 8pm on a weeknight with a friend and there was no wait. Parking is available in the back. Indoor dining only. Credit cards accepted. There was a Yelp check in deal where you could get 5% off your bill. We ordered some spring rolls as apps to share and they were very crispy. I had the pho tai and it was very filling. I liked the broth and the leftovers kept fairly well the following day.“
“We sat at the communal table and enjoyed looking at the aesthetically pleasing feasts our neighbors ordered! We shared a bento box with fresh sashimi, crispy tempura, and warm side meats served with colorful condiments. Once we placed our name on the waitlist, we enjoyed a stroll until our number was called. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere is friendly, both from guests and servers. Next time, we will order the soups and noodle combinations.“
“This is the best Turkish food in town. The quality of the food is great. Everything is fresh, The portions are pretty big. My favorites are Sultan Delight and Adana kabab. Their Baba ganouj is the best in LA. It's not heavy. They have a small area where you can eat but it's mostly takeout. This place is literally a hidden gem.“
“Absolutely wonderful. It's refreshing to eat chicken katsu that's both juicy and has the perfect crunch on the outside. To make it better, it's curry compliment was bursting with flavor yet, it was not overwhelming. I think I got it medium for the spice level and it was perfect for me. I'll probably try to the spicer option when I go back. The chicken karage was also superb. The service was fast and the restaurant was very clean! I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu.“
“The food was tasty, and the staff were kind. The half-sized tempura udon was perfect for me; I wasn't super hungry at the time and don't usually eat a lot anyway, so it filled me up without leaving me feeling stuffed.Came here while waiting for doors to open for a show at the Largo. I got there relatively early, just after 6pm, which turned out to be good because it seemed like they filled up with all of the theatre-goers who were evidently also waiting for doors open.I had a bit of a wait after I ordered, maybe around 10-15 minutes, max. One of the servers saw me looking around and proactively told me it was because they were making all of the udon orders together; I appreciated how attentive they were, to notice that I was wondering about my order. I didn't mind the wait too much anyway, because I needed to fill the time until 7pm.“
“I live about 5 minutes from Sawtelle and Seoul House of Tofu is where I go when I am looking for quick and decent soon dubu without making a trek out to Ktown. When it comes to parking, the lot can be a bit of a nightmare due to the busy Sawtelle location, so I like going during the weekday when it's not so crazypants there. Walking in, the restaurant itself is chill. The food comes out quickly and the portions are generous enough. The quality of the food is also good, standard. I wouldn't say it's the best, most fantastic place, but it'll satisfy my cravings! The service is good and it's usually easy to find a seat, even when it's busy. The thing about Korean food on the westside is that it is freaking pricey!!! We ordered the pajeon (Korean pancake) and a galbi/soondubu combo. The pajeon was $17 (insane to me) and the combo meal was $30.. but HEY, they know there's a demand for it on the westside and can get away with those prices! My favorite part about dining on Sawtelle though is after my meal, I usually treat myself to some boba, ice cream, or egg pancakes (all of which are sold in the neighboring businesses). Despite the high prices and high-traffic area, I will likely come back to this restaurant many many times.“
“I have eaten at a variety of the ramen spots in the nearby Sawtelle Japantown (formerly Little Osaka ). This place is better than any of them. The broth is superb and the noodles perfectly cooked. Recommend trying it for every ramen lover.“
“My family and I ate here for dinner while we were visiting LA and comparing the food from our Olive garden location in oregon this LA location has better tasting dishes. It tasted fresh for some reason lol. The customer service was great, we would go back if we visit LA again.“
“My Goddaughter, her Grandmother and my self had lunch at this FABULOUS restaurant this pass Wednesday. This is the only Olive Garden I go to eat great Italian food. The atmosphere is nice, food is always hot and the waiters are always pleasant. But what I love the most, is how the managers are so attentive and are willing to go beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. Looking forward to return again soon. Oh and the chocolate lasagna is sinful!!!! “
“I absolutely love this place! I came in for the Pad Tai and it was very delicious. But their Tom Kha is freaking fire! The Chicken Mushroom Curry Soup is to freaking die for, I got the large with extra chicken and I've died and gone to heaven! Definitely making this my local Thai spot moving forward. Excellent customer service and easy ordering online for pick up.!“
“The people here are so nice! We showed up very late and they were gracious about taking our order. Then, we ordered a Thai Iced Tea when they had already shut down the card machine and we didn’t have cash, so she just gave it to us for free. Amazing place, would come again for sure!!“
“Ambiance: pretty straightforward shop, grab and go meal, nice, clean, and quiet. I went midday, and there weren't many people inside.Service: They were extremely kind and helpful, made great suggestions, and told me about their most popular items.Food: I already had my mind made up when I went, so i knew i would get the chicken salad sandwich, but it ended up tasting more like a bbq chicken sandwich to me which was good and very flavorful. Unfortunately, it was not a filling sandwich, and I ended up having to find something else to eat, which was disappointing because the meal was not cheap. Overall, I would try it again, just to get what they're known for.“
“One of the best pho spots in West LA! Per recs, I got chef's special and it was LOADED with tender ribs and tendon. They gave us a free bun thit - which they made accidentally and it was SO delicious too! Definitely recommend ordering the egg rolls as an appetizer. Patio seating is nice alongside the street of Sawtelle. Service was great and checked in on us frequently.“
“I used to go a spot near here for sushi, but this place doesn't change in quality or quantity. I love getting the bento box special for Lunch/Brunch. I usually get their tempura, salmon, and spicy tuna rolls. Also it's a cozy place but it's usually not crowded during lunch hours so we usually eat there if we have time.“
“I love this place and come here anytime I’m in the area and feeling Vietnamese food. Fast food preparation, and it is so fresh and delicious. I always get the shrimp pho with glass noodles and I love that they put in so many delicious veggies, including bok choy and different varieties of mushrooms. They also make their own sauces. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Almost all of the main dishes are gluten-free, and if you are sensitive to rice as well like I am, they offer the sweet potato glass noodle as an option for the pho, no extra charge“
“We went on March 23, 2024We waited 5 minutes for them to give us a table for 8 people, the waiter was very friendly and bilingual, which I liked because in several restaurants they no longer want to speak in Spanish, the food was delicious, he was quick to serve, there is a refill of salad and certain drinks, a family and cozy atmosphere, even the waiter very kindly took 1 photo of us for which we thank him, excellent day!!!“
“"Absolutely loved the vibrant flavors and cozy ambiance at this Mediterranean restaurant! From the savory kebabs to the fresh salads, each dish was a delightful journey through Mediterranean cuisine. Can't wait to come back for more!"“
“We happened by chance at this place and I’m glad that we tried it. We ordered the Jade Curry with tofu, herbal wings and some brown and jasmine rice. The food arrived very quickly. Everything was really delicious, even the brown rice was nice and fluffy. The servings are on the small side though.Parking: The entrance to the parking is one way from Venice Blvd. it is a small parking lot that is shared by several restaurants and laundry so you may or may not have to find parking outside the lot.“
“It’s an amazing little place , we came to have lunch there, visiting from Florida. We ordered tacos, burrito , plate of liver stake and off curse the pupusas !Everything was delicious and fresh. The staff is so nice and welcoming , very homy and cozy atmosphere .The cheese pupusa is the bomb!Thank you! Very recommended , defiantly will come back.P.s. didn't take pictures of everything just the pupusa, we were hungry lol.“
“Was in LA for a few nights staying at a nearby hotel & saw Nat’s Thai as a nearby choice. I got Tom Kha soup with the chicken & Drunken Noodles also with chicken & they were both delicious. Especially the Tom Kha soup mmmmmIt’s in an old strip mall that’s seen better days but you don’t come (or don’t) to a place like Nat’s because of that. Really good, tasty food at a really good price by staff that was friendly. I highly recommend!“
“I eat tacos every day and this place is the best in Los Angeles! always great meat! When you get a taco, they bring salsa and chips while you wait! very nice waiters! the cook is great too! I'm always happy when I come to this place! even the music plays is pleasant!) very clean! there is a place to wash your hands before eating! and the price is nice! I definitely recommend it! 5 stars ! The owner of the restaurant definitely needs to raise the wages of his employees! they try their best!❤️“
“Very very delicious food. Today was the caldo de camaron along with a taco de pastor on the side. There menudo on the weekends are really really fire ?. I highly recommend the food here. The staff is very very friendly and family orientated. Did I mention they have a meat market for all your groceries needs.“
“This is probably a hot take... but I think these might be the best fish tacos and the Baja burrito is arguably one of the best burritos in LA.I lived in north redondo beach for a year when I first moved to LA and I still remember their location on inglewood and artesia before the name change and expansion. I thought the change and expansion would mean lower quality (as is the case when a lot of restaurants start expanding to different locations) ...but not at all! Ceviche is always fresh, burrito are the size of a newborn baby, and even my girlfriend (who manages to find something to complain about at every restaurant) loved the grilled fish tacos here.“
“Visited the original farmers market since I was in the area. It was lively and packed with people. Stall 424, inbetween a candy and gift shop and right across from french crepes. Got the Hawaiian Lost but substituted banana with mango due to allergies. Comes w/ strawberries, pineapple and coconut milk. They were accommodating with my request. I also ordered the special which was a honeydew cantaloupe juice. Drinks were really good and tasted fresh. Absolutely loved the juice but wished it was a little sweeter. The smoothie tasted good, but will ask for yogurt instead of coconut milk next time.“
“My first and only pho place I've been to so I didn't have anything else to compare it to. However, their food is so good I haven't been tempted to go anywhere else. My daughter enjoys the P2 filet mignon and I like the shrimp pho. The place is really small and in the evenings it is very packed. Ideal time to dine here is around 2-3 pm“
“Health nut has great healthy sandwich, wrap, and soup options. I tried the tofu grilled panini with tomato bisque soup. The panini was good, however it just had plain tofu added to it so it was a little bland. It would have been nice if the tofu had some sort of seasoning or flavor. The tomato soup was good, just a bit too creamy for my taste. The location is great (near the Manhattan Beach Pier) and there are decent parking options as well.“
“Decided to try this place as it was all vegan items. I ordered the pad thai and added their beef substitute to try it. I wasn't a fan of the dish in general. The sauce was more on the sweet than tart side. The beef substitute was okay but didn't really go with pad thai. Overall, it was okay but I would have to try more items to really decide on if this place is worth it or not.“
“My Girlfriend and I eat hear once or twice a week. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and funny. It's really mellow and relaxed if you eat in (totally casual) and nice to take it back home. Although you can't go wrong with the falafel entre, I LOVE the steak shiskebab or Chicken shiskebab. My Girlfiend is vegetarian and usually gets the veggie skewer, which is fantastic. Toss in the yummy rice, Pita bread and hummus and you got a great, healthy meal for an unbelievably affordable price.“
“Hinge find someone!!! Sam, I’m not sure if you can find me, this is only way maybe I can find you, we made a date for lunch in this restaurant, sorry I deleted my account yesterday???I really miss you I wish I can find you. Maybe we can call the restaurant let it can connect us each other. I called this restaurant help me to find you. And if you also wanna see me, you can call the restaurant to connect me!! ???“
“A solid place for a quick meal. Clean and friendly with small parking lot in rear. We had a few different platters and liked everything. Hummus was fresh and shawarma was delicious. Happy to have another option in RB. Pricing pretty standard these days.“
“Pretty decent Chinese food. I had the Dan Dan noodles, which was good but not spicy like other places, so it depends on your preference. I still liked it. The cucumber made it quite refreshing. The pork soup dumplings, I ate too fast and forgot to take a photo. Decent place and I would visit again. It was a bit expensive but cheap for the area.“
“Absolutely solid choice for outstanding deli food. Their soups are phenomenal - reliable chicken matzoh ball, soup and astonishingly good chicken tortilla soup. Sometimes I even dream about it! Check out their tuna melts, salads, smoothies. Lucky to have such delicious food right on the Cedars campus.“
“I think the key to dining at Forma is to understand that everything you order should be shared with everyone at your table. You can't come here and get a pizza or a bowl of pasta or a cheese tray and eat it alone; that's just weird. You have to come with a group of friends, split a few entres, share a bottle of wine and chat and enjoy your dinner. There are like steaks and burgers and chicken sandwiches and stuff on the menu as well, and yeah you kinda can't those. These items are fine if you're stopping in for lunch by yourself or something, but I advise to skip these if you're on a date or with a group of people and just get a bunch of shareables. Pro tip: pasta dishes are smaller portions here now than they were about a year ago, but they're also cheaper than they were, so you get to order more and try more! Wait staff is amazing btw; they treat each table very well and I've never had a problem here.“
