“One of my favorite sushi spots in the area - I always come for happy hour where the deals are amazing, and the service has always been incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick. Google says it's cash-only but it's not! I know their management changed recently so hopefully maybe the problematic employees other people have been pointing out have been changed. I've always had a pleasant and lovely experience here in the past few months and it's definitely a go-to spot!“

“I had a another great experience at Immigrant Son! Cortni was incredibly informative and engaging--she really listened to what I wanted and offered some great suggestions. I mentioned I was looking for something keto-friendly and protein-packed, and she recommended a side of chicken and a side of avocado. Simple, healthy, and surprisingly delicious! To top it off, I treated myself to their strawberry sourdough scone--absolutely amazing, especially paired with a good cup of coffee! Ronan, the manager, was exceptional as well. The positive energy in this place is always contagious--it's the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back. Great people, great food, great atmosphere!“

“We had a great time have dinner during summer evening. We sat outside for happy hour. I found it a bit warm inside. Outside offer a nice breeze to keep us cool. Food was delicious and filling. We ordered the LINGUINE WITH CLAMS

black mussels, Fire-roasted tomato broth, Spanish chorizo, queso fresco, garlic bread with and CHIPOTLE SHRIMP TACO.“

“This is my 3rd or 4th time at Hummus Republic. The food is consistently excellent. Today I tried the Earth Burger. This this is HUGE and delicious (I have enough for at least one more meal)! Sweet potato fries - excellent, and I tried their new cinnamon sugar pita chips - WOW! Tahini Shake is super tasty. My only recommendation on the shake is that they need larger (circumference) straws. A regular straw is too narrow for this thick shake. Thank you for coming to Surprise, you are a GREAT addition to the area❣“

“My family were hanging out at the beach in Ventura and we decided to stop here to get some lunch. I believe they were short staffed. However the person was able to quickly get to us. We placed the order and for food arrived within 10 minutes. The portions are generous and the food taste pretty decent too. The prices are reasonable, and they have some great smoothies and iced teas to choose from is APPLE parking in front and behind the restaurant. This is a family restaurant and they are plenty of tables for you to dine in or takeout. They also have a restroom for customers.“

“After over thirty years of dining at arts Carrie never had a bad meal and the people were always the best at what they do there’s three places in town that are the top three for a place to eat and enjoy the best staff that’s always been art’s corner cafe Pete’s breakfast snd two tress restaurant and even though art’s corner cafe is no longer owned by art the boys who own two trees hxx as ve done an awesome job at opening two trees across the street from where I’ve lived for over thirty years but when they opened it was good at best but the boys improved there service there food evolved and became of the best in taste snd quality and nis they own arts cafe now and have kept up there reputation of great food and great service and woukd recommend putting your name down in any of these three ventura iconic food restaurants and enjoy a great meal worth waiting for every time“

“Amazing patio view! We have our favorite things: fish sandwich, fried scallops, sesame salmon salad, seafood pasta. My dad's fave is the clam chowder and sourdough bread. All delish. They also carry on tap Figueroa Mountain's Danish Red, one of our favorite brews. Staff is really great: As we slooowly exited with my mom using her walker, at least five employees smiled and thanked us for coming and wished us a great evening. ❤️“

“Tacos are very good. The salsa bar has lost of goodies. The red bright salsa is spicy & tasty. I wanted to have caldo de res, but I found out they only have that on Fridays. Every day of the week, they have a different Mexican sopas. I will be back again to give it a try on the soups. This place is clean, and the people are very kind and helpful. Places like this are hard to find. Keep cooking away. Buen trabajo!“

“The busy bee café is a place to go eat you could eat indoor or outdoor. They wait on you as soon as you get in they are so nice it’s clean services top-of-the-line, and the food is more than top-of-the-line. Great food come in and get it I live in Santa Barbara and I go to eat there each time, I’m there in Ventura.“

“Hands down BEST sushi in Ventura! We come here at least once a week. Highly recommend parking along the street, catching sunset on the beach, then coming here for dinner. Although everything I’ve ordered here has been excellent, my very favorites are the Avocado Bomb (the best I’ve ever had) and the Sushi House Roll. I’ve been here a few times, one of which I ordered online and when I came to pick it up, they were actually closed for construction. The cashier, who I’m assuming was the manager, was very apologetic and offered to call in my order at a restaurant nearby. But I had a migraine and honestly just wanted to go home. Today I came in to pick up dinner, and he insisted that it was on him!! So not necessary, but so kind. <3

“In my top 3 sushi places in ventura (Seaward sushi, Banzai Marina, and now Koba sushi). This restaurant is a smaller place that is cozy and inviting. It's a more traditional sushi restaurant that serves the freshest sushi! The staff was very nice and friendly. The place was spotless and pleasant to be in. And the food was delicious! It is pricey bit worth it. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants quality sushi (and sake)!“
