“My sister and I were craving an afternoon coffee. We had their ice coffee with milk. It was one of the best tasting coffees I've had. The atmosphere was chill. The establishment was clean and beautifully decorated. What I do want to remark on is the staff. A young lady by the name of Jenny surprised us by offering us a sample of a spring roll with peanut sauce. The gesture was so touching and sincere that my sister and I have planned to come back the next chance we get. By the way the spring roll was delicious and fresh.“

“Such a cute little space with a great ethical commitment and excellent food! I brought my partner here to grab a quick lunch to go. We each got a banh mi (I got the lemongrass chicken, no mayo, and they got the pork) and a sparkling limeade. The person who took our order was super friendly and the food came out fast. We were both impressed by just how big the sandwiches were and how much protein was on them! And the limeade was incredible - just slightly sparkling with a hint of saltiness.“

“1st time trying Pho Waffle and Grill. It's a small place but as usual small places have the greatest of foods. I ordered the Salmon Bowl and also the Beef Pho to go. If it's raining and you want some warm pho. This is the spot for you. Close to South Gate, Lynwood, Bell Gardens, Downey and Paramount. It has drive thru and a small mom and pop restaurant that should definitely be supported for the great food. Had Beef Pho and Shrimp Pho, with Creamy ragoons and Veggie Egg rolls topped off with Tai Tea. Yum!!! #TheSpot“

On the table . As soon as we stepped in we were greeted , which I appreciate considering many places leave u standing there awkwardly. The music level was on point , low enough to talk loud enough to appreciate. The staff is very kind , they give off family vibes . Food came out quickly and hot . 5. Clay pot rice with fish 10/5 - just get this

The remodeled interior is very welcoming, modern, and has interesting art and motorbikes from Vietnam. Classical music in background (chef's kiss).

Also great that the place serves demi-bottles of reasonably priced wine. Beer's great too.

Our server exuded hospitality, very attentive, and proud to tell us about the chef/restaurateur.

“I’ve been here quite a few times and always enjoy it. The place gets busy around lunch and dinner, sometimes with a line out the door. You can tell it’s a family-run spot and that they put a lot of effort into it. Definitely worth supporting.“

“I had a craving for tom yum soup and thankfully they took my order even though it was about 20 minutes to closing time. It was just a little too spicy (ordered mild) for my taste, but still delicious. Plenty of lemongrass goodness with a kick. I forgot to add noodles, but they accommodated me at the counter. The thai tea was very delicous, strong & creamy with just the right amount of ice. I tried the mango sunrise but it was not what I expected (again, just my taste!). It had a distinct taste to it that I can't put my finger on, but the mango compote & the coconut cream part was really good! Definitely want to try the mango sticky rice next time, but it is on the pricy side ($14).“

“I stopped here on my way for some vegetarian food since it was lunar new year and I am glad I found this place. The vegetarian sandwich and spring rolls were very flavorful. The spring rolls were nice and hefty that had some crisp when you bit in to it and a delicious peanut dipping sauce.“

“Back in October, my friends and I spent a month vacation in Vietnam and we were introduced to Com Tam. We wanted to see if King Com Tam Vietnamese Restaurant is as authentic as we had in Vietnam.

Com tam - Vietnamese broken rice is rice that was broken during the milling process. If you're unfamiliar, broken rice has a couscous-like texture. The broken rice plate options might seem extensive, but it's just rice with various combinations of pork chop, beef, pork, fried bean curd with shrimp paste, egg roll, sausage, shredded pork and skin, and steamed egg loaf. All served with veggies, a small bowl of broth, and fish dipping sauce. The plates run from $12.99 to $20.99 for the 10-item plate. If you don't see exactly the plate combination you're looking for, you can just tell the waiter which items you want and they'll charge accordingly. Just ask if you can swap items.

Not Vietnam authentic, but then again I am no expert but definitely satisfied our cravings and brought back memories of our month long trip. We loved it so much that a month ago during the rainy weather that we went back so we can try the noodle soup/pho. The portions were generous for around $13.99 a bowl. I was craving Bun bo Hue, Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup and my friends ordered beef pho and hu tieu, a Vietnamese Phnom Penh-style seafood noodle soup with pork and shrimp. It was good but I've had better.

“What a hidden gem. It doesnt look like much as its a small mom and pop type place in a strip mall. Theres a parking lot right in front. The inside is clean and is nostalgic of any vietnamese restaurant.

The service was alright. There was only one guy working the register, waiting tables, and being out the food and it was pretty busy. We grabbed our own menus from the center console table and he shortly came after to take orders.

The food was really good. We both got pho and the broth was more savory than sweet and the protein portions were more than plentiful. A nice change! You know its authentic when they have chili oil out. Spring rolls were hot and homemade. Too bad they only gave 2 lettuce pieces for 5 rolls. Nonetheless, they were still delicious without.

“Went to K5 on a Friday night since we were craving some Pho (for the first time), and had a great experience. Located in the Eaglerock area (where there are not too many pho options), K5 is one of the pho options you should add to your rotation. Good service, good food (especially on a cold night), and reasonable prices. The location is pretty large, but it gets pretty crowded (at least it was when we were there). Plenty of parking since it is a large plaza. One of the better pho options in the area.

I had to add satay sauce to make it taste a bit better. The ice water glasses were dirty as well. I don't know if it's under new owners or new chefs but it wasn't that great. “My family stopped by this place to get a weekday dinner. It was relatively quiet and a cozy spot for more intimate gatherings. The waiter was attentive and quick to refill our waters or utensils.

The pork chow fun had plenty of wok hei and wasn't too salty. Mixing it with the brown sauce made the noodles texture much more slippery. The hainan chicken was served with cold chicken and rice, but i appreciate how the rice isn't too oily and subtly seasoned. We also got green beans - you can ask for the salted fish seasoning to be taken off and to have it be sauteed in garlic only.

“Found this place on TT! I got the lemongrass beef, with shrimp rolls, and shrimp cake! SO good!!!! So fresh, and a big portion too. The shrimp cake was the best I’ve ever had. Juicy and succulent with a nice crisp on the outside. Devin the owner is very nice too. It is nice to see an owner with passion for their business and food. The people next to me got the salmon belly and shrimp cake rolls. I will definitely be getting that next time. They also serve beer, wine, and sake which is nice too. Can’t wait for this to be my summer spot when its hot outside and need refreshing rolls and drinks!!“

The rice Had pork and sausage in it and came with great side of in house soy sauce on the side as well as utensils and the lemon June drink had peach purée and it was super refreshing, a bit in the pricey side for everything but it was all super good so I’d definitely come back and try more, inside was fairly small but the decor was super nice and service was good and on point so I’d definitely recommend this spot“
