It is impossible to tell their bread products/desserts are gluten-free, and their menu is thoughtful and varied. The ambiance is wonderful, whether you're inside or on their (dog-friendly!) patio, and the staff is lovely. I'd frequent 401K even without gluten restrictions; as someone with Celiac, 401K is an absolute game-changer.“
“let me start by saying this is the BEST vegan Ethiopian food i've ever had. i have frequented a lot of Ethiopian restaurants and the veggie platter combos just don't compare to Berbere. the atmosphere is so calming and refreshing and the ambiance is amazing. the staff were quick and efficient as well as attentive without being annoying. the food was served fresh AND hot and the flavors will excite a party in your tummy!! i went here with my mom and we shared everything. to start i ordered the et tacos and let me tell you the reviews for the tacos were right on the money. i never thought id like a taco that wasn't traditional but these made me rethink tacos as a whole. the flavors were so powerful and delicious. honestly it's just best if you're reading this to just try them. no amount of words can describe the flavors. for the main dish, we ordered the eat the rainbow with red lentils, yellow garbanzo beans, purple cabbage and potatoes, and kale. although i loved everything the KALE was the star of the show. it really surprised me how freaking delicious it was. i mean it was tangy but also seasoned just right. cooked to perfection if i do say so myself. to drink we both ordered the blackberry (could've been blueberry not sure?) mint lemonade and it was refreshing. i didn't feel guilty drinking it at all. for dessert i ordered the sublime confection and it was superb!! it's an interesting dessert to describe but it had banana and chocolate and ice cream and that was enough for me to order. the banana was not overwhelming either. i ended off dinner with a hot cacao and i burned my tongue so badly but it was so good i didn't even mind it. the cacao was so rich and thick. it was a nice treat to end a wonderful dinner. all in all our experience here was everything and more. i cannot wait to go back soon because it's right near my job two blocks away. side note: it is on the pricier side but i promise you won't feel robbed or cheated the portions AND the flavors are worth every damn penny. berbere is a 10000/10.“
“Ummm wow just amazing across the board. We were able to sample quite a bit. One of the outstanding treats was the grilled brussel sprouts. The margarita pizza was classic, but tasted a cut above, I think it's their sauce. The Caesar salad is big, and boy I ate all of mine. It had a perfect balance. Try the deep fried porta Bella mushrooms with their creamy dipping sauce, you might pass out it's so good.Next time I need a desert from their French tarts and macaroons in the glass case.“

I like how the cookies are smaller than the Big Cookie trend that's going on so that can taste more of their creative flavors. Also lower pricing point per cookie as well. My Fav is $100k Cookie. That thing was amazing, i was only supposed to take a bite cause i had 3 other flavors to try but Nope couldn't do it, i ate the whole thing. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff.However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza.The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. This woman-owned eatery is located in a prime hipster Echo Park neighborhood, and to me, it's a perfect blend of my culture superimposed on Los Angeles's colorful cityscape. The menu ranges from homey comfort-food entrees to popular street bites, and some new-age fusion items as well. Atmosphere: 2/5 As a take-out-only restaurant located on Hoover Street, there's no seating and it faces traffic. If only there were some colorful plastic chairs (like the ones you see in SE Asia) - the vibes would be immaculate. However, you're either standing and eating or taking the food back to your home. Service: 3/5 Wasn't bad but wasn't warm or friendly either - service was okay Flavors: 5/5 Highly recommend: -Banh mi trung op la (banh mi with fried egg): homemade mushroom pate is delicious, it inspired me to make some at home. The egg was crispy to the heavens. -Rau ma juice: in English known as pennyworth, extremely refreshing, herbal, and will cool you down on a hot day. -Tofu goi cuon (spring rolls): The peanut sauce offered with this was so yummy! The spring rolls were super fresh and all the herbs complemented the flavors. Parking: 2/5 Street parking only, very limited Pricing: 3/5 Definitely not cheap for Vietnamese food, however, LA is a high-cost-of-living area so I understand that the owner needs to maintain overhead costs and pay her employees a fair wage! Expect to pay $4-5 higher than what you're used to paying in the OC/SJ/SGV. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. “I was introduced to Sidecar Doughnuts in 2017. I have been a fan since. My favorite donut from them remains to be the Saigon Cinnamon Crumble. It is more of a cake-like texture and I like almost anything cinnamony. This donut tastes more like coffee cake. Coffee and sugar are my staples for everyday living. So, it is almost impossible for me not to love this donut as it has my basic necessities wrap up in one perfect little package! This time I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee to go with the donut. It didn't taste like a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee. Instead, it tasted more like an iced latte. So if you are looking for a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee, don't get it from there. Don't get me wrong, it was still good coffee just not what the name said it was. This location is off Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica about 7 blocks from the beach. I really like their packaging as well. The boxes the donuts come in are modern and simple with bold gold letters of the store's name. This location is small and has seating outside. There is metered parking on the street. Service was just okay. I wish the people working there could have been more friendly. All in all, this premium donut chain that started in Costa Mesa in 2012 is still very popular and is definitely worth trying for the first time, and going back for me!“

We ordered pasta, a hot chocolate and a coffee. My favorite time of day to eat here is evening. The inside of the bistro is gorgeous, and makes me feel like I'm in Paris. It's old and full of charm. “Great, very casual breakfast and lunch restaurant very close to LAX. We arrived home very late and stayed overnight at the LAX Hyatt regency. The Original Rinaldi's is on the same side of the street and less than one block from the Hyatt Regency. We did not want an expensive hotel breakfast. Walked in to Rinaldi's and got a very warm welcome. They have different coffees so we tried the iced Vietnamese coffee in recognition of our completed trip. The coffee was terrific. Breakfast items were fresh, tasty, and healthy. Got a bottle of Langer's OJ to wash it down - cold and refreshing. Chatted with the nice lady that took our order. Excellent way to enjoy a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch near the airport. Or, not a bad idea to pre order food and take it on your flight.“
