“My wife and I go here at least once a month, they are very attentive and have always been very friendly. The Specials are always delicious and we order what on the board every visit. The plate food is amazing, chile lime shrimp is my staple here. I have yet to finish this plate during my visit.
Atmosphere is relaxed with soft lights and quiet ambience.
The absolute excitement when you see the chef start putting your sushi on the boat, it's the little things. I love this place and will continue to go monthly so long as you ungrateful, unrealistic people don't get this place shut down with your ridiculous complaints.

“This was the best sushi I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never been to Japan but I can only imagine that it tastes like this. The yellow tail sashimi was AMAZING. It was so buttery and smooth and it tasted so amazing. I can still remember how incredibly it tasted and my mouth is watering thinking about it.“

“I already love Sushi Den and when they came out with this new omakase style restaurant it did not disappoint. They way they talk about where they sourced the rice to the detail of what type of vinegar it uses on the rice. The fish just melts in your mouth and the sushi rice just falls apart when it hits your mouth.“

“I wanted to eat a bagel and drink some wine after going to the movies, so I saw some carnivorous plants instead. Since I was still hungry and thirsty I got a haircut. My hair was upgraded and I also drunk a bottle of wine. I got a tattoo afterwards. My leg looks fantastic and my bagel was also delicious, but something was missing. I got some sushi. It was brilliant but not as good as this bagel. I got a second one. That was missing. The second bagel.“

“My husband and I were craving a warm and delicious pho. Umami sushi and pho, a brand-new establishment in town, exceeded our expectations from the moment we entered. The aroma of delectable and fresh food was exceptional. We ordered a couple of pho and the broth's flavor was intensely delicious and warming. The fresh vegetables tasted remarkably fresh. The entire venue was nice and neat, and the staff were very friendly, making us feel at home. We will definitely return soon, eager to try their sushi. I highly recommend stopping by for succulent pho and sushi. Umami Sushi bar and Pho es Nuevo aquí en Aurora, fuimos por primera vez y pasó la prueba del sabor. El caldo tenía mucho sabor y sustancia. “Juan G was awesome! Checked in on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. As far as AYCE goes, Chubby has the highest quality and best selection I've found. The wait was about 40 minutes on a Tuesday night at 7:30 for 2 people, but you can join their wait list before you get there (live and learn).

“A Denver staple! Great spot for taking visitors, celebrations, or just a chill meal. Happy hour is every day until about 6. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options, and they make sure to use sustainably caught fish, so it's always fresh. Service is always awesome, too (Sam is the best!!!)“

“My friend and I went here for Valentine's Day. We hadn't made plans because we weren't celebrating the holiday, so we had no reservations. The place was packed. The hosts were busy coordinating reservations that went as late as past 11 pm, as they were open until midnight. They were kind in their greeting and offered us space at the bar, if we could find it. We couldn't. As the wait time was over an hour and a half, we left to go somewhere else but decided to return a little later to check back at the bar. We found some seats that had just been cleared, so we saddled up for a chill time with chopsticks and great ambiance. We were greeted by the friendliest, most energetic bartender I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with while dining out, much less when a place is that busy. She had a smile for miles as she walked us through bar suggestions featuring her alcohol favorites. The reason we rallied to try again at Hapa was that my friend has a serious gluten issue with his severe celiac disease and has never had a problem with their dedicated menu. The gluten-free menu is extensive for such a specialized diet, automatically paired with their gluten-free soy sauce. Since we were sharing our samplings of sushi, sashime, salad, and sake, I went ahead and ordered from that menu as well. I didn't taste any difference in my experience. Our servings were well-timed with salad, main dishes, accompanying sake and wine... and, again, our awesome bartender sharing company with us, a truly gifted gal of service. If I tried to recommend this place more, I'd sound silly. That said, thank you for one of the best Valentine's Day, un-Valentines evenings I've ever had! We left happy with our choice for the night and full in our bellies!“

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

“I've been here twice and so far the food has been amazing. I usually get salmon sashimi and a California roll. The quality of the sashimi is very good. The sushi rice is perfectly flavored. The atmosphere is more relaxed with interesting detailing on the walls. One thing that surprised me was how huge and clean the bathroom was. I really appreciated that.
My only complaint so far (and a big one, to me) is one of the servers. Both times I've eaten here, while she hasn't stared directly, it's clear she's watching you like a hawk! Typically I'd understand this, it's part of the job. But it felt like I was pressured to make a choice, eat my food, and leave. I took a friend the second time, and while unspoken, I didn't feel welcome to relax and enjoy our meal. Were they busy and needing to clear tables? No. Both times I've gone I was one of two, maybe three tables that were full. While I love the food, the feeling of constantly being watched has been so off-putting I'm hesitant to return.“

Chicken Flautas – These rolled tacos served in a cup were genius for a night at the bar, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and Cotija cheese.

Traditional Carnita Tacos – The street taco dream! Tender carnitas, cilantro, pickled red onions, and a salsa so good I wanted to take some home.

The combination of fantastic food, creative drinks, and lively ambiance makes Con Safos a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommend!“
