“We were in town, Beaver Creek/Avon, for a family wedding and looking for a vegan-friendly place to eat. This quaint little cafe was absolutely perfect. I’m vegan and ordered the Raj, a black coffee, and a boozy brunch drink (the fizz). My hubby is vegetarian and ate the Lou’s scramble, a cold brew coffee, and a boozy brunch drink (the dude). We paid $60 + tip it came to about $75. Indoor and outdoor seating available as well as counter seating. Vegan bakery options as well. They also have smoothies, vegan cream cheese with bagel, vegan grilled cheese, and more. Dog friendly indoors and outdoors. Really adorable, in a cute little mountain town. A must try!“

From our very first meeting through the wedding day itself, their attention to detail was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved the way it was served in small batches—it never felt like a typical buffet, and everything stayed fresh and inviting. The butternut squash lasagna ended up being one of the biggest hits of the night, even among the most devoted meat lovers in our group!

The drinks were fantastic, and the staff brought such great energy and friendliness that they helped keep the celebration fun all night long.

“Been to this nice restaurant many times and it’s always first class. Tonight my wife’s chicken was excellent. The wine was great. However, the Manhattan steak was not so good. The one that was brought out was extremely tough and even hard to cut into. Our lovely server offered to bring out a new one but I said I would fight through it. To her credit, she insisted on bringing out a new one and I asked for it to be Medallion cut. The replacement came out and should have been medium rare, but when I laid out the cuts it was simply very rare to raw with lots of fat as well. I simply refused to eat it and told her to just take it off the bill. To my surprise the wonderful Manager Dana immediately came over and admitted that they failed on the steak. He explained that they usually get great cuts from the provider, but recently not so much and he actually called the owner and told him they simply can’t be offering this kind of steak as this was not the first bad cut he has seen this evening. Dana did not charge me for the steak as well as the wine and offered a free desert. Dana did exactly what I’d expect a Manager to do in this caliber of a restaurant and that alone makes me want to come back again whichever we will do so!“

“From the moment we entered, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn’t have reservations for dinner anywhere this evening and they were happy to squeeze us in. Famished from our active day and long search for a restaurant with availability, we were ready to get down to business. They had a few interesting options on their appetizer menu. We decided on the egg rolls and a couple of signature cocktails, which all came out pretty quick compared to the amount of time and care that was probably put into each. We had a hard time choosing entrees as we love pasta, cheese, and meat (who doesn’t??) but finally settled on the gnocchi and bolognese. Both great! So great that instead of stuffing ourselves of the large portion, we tried to stop so that we would have a meal-sized portion for leftovers. Keyword: tried. It was hard to stop eating! We managed to salvage some to enjoy later and our wonderful server Eliana (sp?) packed it up for us. Throughout the meal, our server came by, to check in and never let our water glasses come close to empty. They had some yummy donuts on display near the entrance. We commented on how adorable they were. The staff was quick to offer a few to us at no charge which was really nice. Sadly, we were just too full from our meal to accept. We didn’t partake this time, but we did see a number of people seemingly come in just to browse the wine and grab a bottle to take home. They had a pretty good selection. From the exceptional service to the decadent pasta dishes, we’re coming back for sure. How this place isn’t packed to the gills on a Saturday night, I have no idea! “Wish we had found this place earlier in our holiday. The food was amazing. Service great. Lovely atmosphere. We had our leftovers boxed up too. Kids meals $7.49 and filling. Says you need to pay to park but actually the first 3 hours are free just need to register. Would highly recommend.“

As a family of four, sometimes we need takeout which is a struggle in Vail and this place nailed it. The food was delicious. The price was appropriate. And, the convenience was awesome. Honestly, I was impressed across the board and am so glad we found it. No question this will be our go-to Thai / Chinese restaurant from now on.“

“Dining at Joy Sushi was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible culinary experiences we’ve had, and not just in Vail, but anywhere. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home.

The sushi and sashimi were unbelievably fresh—each bite practically melted in our mouths. You could truly taste the quality and care that went into every piece. The rolls were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly creative. The combinations of flavors were thoughtfully crafted and balanced perfectly, and absolutely delicious.

We were especially impressed by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the high quality of the ingredients and the location in Vail. It felt like such a hidden gem, just a short drive from our hotel. We were so impressed after our first dinner that we came back again two nights later, and honestly, we would have gone all three nights if we hadn’t made other plans.

Joy Sushi has officially become a must-stop for us whenever we’re in town. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers such a consistent and exceptional experience across the board—from food to service to value. “Love hanging out at the George! Any season throughout the year is a good time here. Great selection of beers and the redbull slushies are great too. Bar service is quick even when they get a little busy. The food at this bar is top notch. My favorite go to is definitely the duck and mushroom quesadilla. Its a great snack if your really hungry or a decent meal if not! Ski season Après The George is the place to be. Find it down the stairs and enjoy some damn good food and drinks.“

Food was delicious - stared with the pimento cheese appetizer. Our group ordered a mix of hanger steak and chicken and everyone loved their meals. The ice cream snickers is a must try, it was easy to split. If you are feeling generous you can buy the kitchen a round of drinks - it's called Kitchen Sauce on the menu. We were seated next to the kitchen and they deserved it - everyone was working hard, our food arrived quickly and perfectly plated. We will be back again soon.“

“Stopped in a few months ago with my wife for a coffee dessert because all the coffee shops in vail were closed. We got the coffee flavor amongst others and were very impressed with all the flavors we sampled. All very high quality. The manager was super nice and even threw in a heftier serving of the coffee ice cream (at no charge) just to make sure I got my caffeine fix given the circumstances. We also ended up talking to her for a while and it was very refreshing to meet a manager who actually cared about her customers beyond just making a sale. We’re not from CO but we will definitely be stopping in whenever we’re in the area. Highly recommended.“

“It was a bit of a labyrinth getting through the hotel maze to find the restaurant, but worth it. Small but interesting menu. We liked the creative drink options and truly enjoyed the Alpine Sangria. The blackened grouper was delicious, and the wedge salad with pork rind was just right, not over dressed. We sat outside on the patio, and just as the sun went down and temperatures cooled, they turned on the fire pits to keep us comfortable. Our waitress Finn was cheerful and efficient, and our host even offered our dog a bowl of water. We really liked the place and will definitely return!“

“Me and my family visited Gessner last weekend for dinner while staying at Grand Hyatt. The ambiance is really nice, very classy with those mountain views, but the food was a bit hit and miss :(

We ordered the chicken breast, which I was really looking forward to. The meat quality was good, no doubt, but it was lacking that punch of flavor. it felt a bit bland, like they forgot to add something.

My wife got the pesto pasta, which was better, but still too dry for our liking. It had good flavor, but needed more sauce to make it perfect.

Service was excellent.

The presentation of dishes was nice, though, and the place is super clean and fancy.
