“Been to this nice restaurant many times and it’s always first class. Tonight my wife’s chicken was excellent. The wine was great. However, the Manhattan steak was not so good. The one that was brought out was extremely tough and even hard to cut into. Our lovely server offered to bring out a new one but I said I would fight through it. To her credit, she insisted on bringing out a new one and I asked for it to be Medallion cut. The replacement came out and should have been medium rare, but when I laid out the cuts it was simply very rare to raw with lots of fat as well. I simply refused to eat it and told her to just take it off the bill. To my surprise the wonderful Manager Dana immediately came over and admitted that they failed on the steak. He explained that they usually get great cuts from the provider, but recently not so much and he actually called the owner and told him they simply can’t be offering this kind of steak as this was not the first bad cut he has seen this evening. Dana did not charge me for the steak as well as the wine and offered a free desert. Dana did exactly what I’d expect a Manager to do in this caliber of a restaurant and that alone makes me want to come back again whichever we will do so!“

The sushi chef “Fei” even came to our table to ask about how we like the sushi when he was available. We talked a little bit and knowing that he has been working as a sushi chef for over 16 years. “I would just like to clarify firstly for the business that I had put my name on the list to wait for a table and my name is “Bri”. When I went inside, I tried telling the gentlemen that I was just called for a table for 2 for Bri. I think he had mistaken that I had said a table for 3. I felt so bad because the lovely lady had a table ready for us already and there was just a slight confusion. I truly felt so bad realizing that the two words sounded pretty close to being the same.

ANYWAY, the sushi here is amazing! I will 100% be returning as a loyal customer, the yellow tail was absolutely amazing. Don’t listen to the reviews. For someone who misses my brother every day in Japan and always looks for a genuine Japanese sushi restaurants this is the spot to hit. Please take the chance to go and try their food. Hand rolls, sashimi, and speciality.

“From the moment we entered, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We didn’t have reservations for dinner anywhere this evening and they were happy to squeeze us in. Famished from our active day and long search for a restaurant with availability, we were ready to get down to business. They had a few interesting options on their appetizer menu. We decided on the egg rolls and a couple of signature cocktails, which all came out pretty quick compared to the amount of time and care that was probably put into each. We had a hard time choosing entrees as we love pasta, cheese, and meat (who doesn’t??) but finally settled on the gnocchi and bolognese. Both great! So great that instead of stuffing ourselves of the large portion, we tried to stop so that we would have a meal-sized portion for leftovers. Keyword: tried. It was hard to stop eating! We managed to salvage some to enjoy later and our wonderful server Eliana (sp?) packed it up for us. Throughout the meal, our server came by, to check in and never let our water glasses come close to empty. They had some yummy donuts on display near the entrance. We commented on how adorable they were. The staff was quick to offer a few to us at no charge which was really nice. Sadly, we were just too full from our meal to accept. We didn’t partake this time, but we did see a number of people seemingly come in just to browse the wine and grab a bottle to take home. They had a pretty good selection. From the exceptional service to the decadent pasta dishes, we’re coming back for sure. How this place isn’t packed to the gills on a Saturday night, I have no idea! “Oh.My.Lord! Amazing!!! We went for dinner 12/5 while up at Vail. Charles, one of the managers, was thoughtful, checked to see how our experience was…it was second-to-none! The restaurant is beautiful, love the open kitchen, the staff—kind, informative, attentive. But the food! Next level!! The pork shank is the best pork I’ve ever had . . . wow! Charles told us the lengthy process it takes to make that, so delicious! The clam chowder was exceptional; they smoke the clams before putting in the chowder. That slight smoky flavor made this the best chowder I’ve ever tasted!

Stunning mountain views all around, an incredibly beautiful and intimate reception space, and can host one heck of a party! We recently photographed a wedding in the fall at peak colors, and WOW! We got the coffee flavor amongst others and were very impressed with all the flavors we sampled. All very high quality. The manager was super nice and even threw in a heftier serving of the coffee ice cream (at no charge) just to make sure I got my caffeine fix given the circumstances. We also ended up talking to her for a while and it was very refreshing to meet a manager who actually cared about her customers beyond just making a sale. We’re not from CO but we will definitely be stopping in whenever we’re in the area. Highly recommended.“

“Best lunch in the valley! The food, service, menu selections are top notch, and the views are second to none as it sits across the valley from Arrowhead. The signature Bavarian Pretzel was delicious and the salad and Poke Bowl were fresh and flavorful. Kids had fettuccine alfredo and another order of fried ravioli, my husband had the spicy shrimp spaghetti, and I had the eggplant parm, which was some of the best I've ever had! I then received a cancellation notice just before we arrived at 15 minutes after our scheduled time. Ugh! When we walked in, at 17 minutes past our scheduled reservation, the host said sorry, I didn't have a phone at the host desk so you can't reach us. Therefore we cancelled your reservation. We waited another 40 minutes and were finally sat. The server seemed irritated by us likely due to some negative feedback from the host. Too bad. I've eaten here literally hundreds of times. Hopefully they can get things back in track since this is usually a wonderful spot.“

“Tricky to find, upstairs in the Lodge, but a wonderful meal. We started with the artichokes and shrimp cocktail, had newyork Strip, and filet for main course with brussel sprouts and onion rings ( only thing we didn't love). We finished with key lime pie and classic ding dong cake. We were off season so there was little to no one there. Overall very nice meal.

Parking: Park at the vail lots of walk over from hotel.

Kid-friendliness: We saw another couple with children, they were enjoying the French fries.“
