“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“We had a great experience at Bully Ranch in Vail. We ordered a steak and two hamburgers — the steak was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The hamburgers were also very good, juicy, and well-prepared. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive and friendly.

“This place is a hidden gem, as it’s located away from the center of Vail village, inside of a mountain lodge. Spacious, rustic interior creates a cozy ambiance featuring floor to ceiling windows and a stone fireplace. The food is amazing - a combination of French and American mountain cuisine. The portions are big and great for sharing.“

“We always enjoy the food at this restaurant. This time we were a big group and had Christmas dinner. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Service was a little slow for the main dishes but I think it was the place was packed. Still we enjoyed our experience. Teens ice skated while waiting for dinner and adults enjoyed their drinks. Only thing I don’t like about this place is the ambience, it is too casual. With some table and chair update it could feel much more elegant and upscale.“

“Mountain Standard is a standout in Vail for both lunch and dinner, with service that feels genuinely welcoming, attentive, and well paced. The kitchen clearly takes pride in ingredient quality and execution. The food is fresh, deeply flavorful, and built around combinations that feel creative and intentional, not trendy for the sake of it. It is absolutely a chef driven restaurant.

I started with the octopus appetizer. The octopus itself was cooked perfectly, tender with the right bite, and the overall flavor profile was delicious. The only element that felt unnecessary to me was the black beans. They distracted from the dish rather than adding anything essential, so I removed them. Aside from that, it was excellent, and the avocado slices added a great creamy texture that worked beautifully with the octopus.

For my main, I had the burger, and it was exactly what you want from a place like this: very fresh, high quality ingredients, and meat cooked perfectly. It is the kind of burger that feels elevated without trying too hard.

“Ate breakfast a few times at the Gessner Grill during my stay at the Grand Hyatt. I can only speak to the breakfast, but everything my spouse and I got during our stay was great. The potatoes were very well seasoned and notable and the French toast was fluffy and just the right amount of sweet. Service was excellent!“

We sat on the patio such a great choice and the food was outstanding! We enjoyed the chili, hot chocolate, nachos, and an IPA, all of which were excellent. “We have this experience two summers as we had a new waiter the first time but same waiter this time. Our order took over an hr to get and the waiter came back after 45 min wait to tell us our 15 month child menu was not available. How could they not know when we ordered from children's menu. Unexceptionable! Then after over hr food came but one did not receive her smash burger. That is inexcusable! Waiter then came back to apologize. The manager was very polite and comp our meal. We actually liked the food we finally got which is sad. We will not try it again from two experiences the same.“

“The veggie chili is very yummy and filling after a morning of skiing. Can add corn, onions, and hot sauce. They used to serve it over a baked potato too but sadly not anymore. There is also a quinoa/bean burger, but unknown if this is vegan. Items are only listed as vegetarian on the menu. They also sell bobo’s bars and a few other vegan snacks if you look.“

“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.“

Over the past two years, the menu options and quality have improved significantly.There is a good bar on the first floor, Bistro 14. This use to be a restaurant, but post-COVID, it is just a bar.“

The atmosphere was perfect, chill vibes, nice decorations.
