“This was our first time at this particular Tokyo Joe's and it has become my favorite. The restaurant was immaculate. Even the bathrooms were spotless. The food was fresh and carefully prepared. The staff were awesome, Kind and attentive. I dropped the lid of my cup that I had brought in and one of the kind people took it back and washed it for me. Though this is a little farther than the one we usually go to, we will drive the extra miles to this particular Tokyo Joe's.“

“Has a good menu, tried a lot of the options. It’s a great lunch spot, and would be a good dinner choice. What was noted is how large the green tea mug is- that’s fantastic, and the bowl of edamame was also large. Minus a star reasoning- good food, quaint location, and friendly service, but nothing felt like “wow, I will brag about that meal”. And there are some sushi meals that I still think about today. So 4 is that’s it’s a good place to go, you’ll have really good meal, and it’ll be at the same cost of other places.“

“My delivery driver got stuck in my elevator for 30 min (Wayne) and he handled it so gracefully. I called the fire dept for him but he was calm and kind the whole time. I felt horrible but what amazing customer service! Wayne really handled a stressful situation the best way possible. I have ordered here forever, and wlll continue to bc of him. I’m so sorry for my elevator, but what a good show of customer service service!

“I wanted to eat a bagel and drink some wine after going to the movies, so I saw some carnivorous plants instead. Since I was still hungry and thirsty I got a haircut. My hair was upgraded and I also drunk a bottle of wine. I got a tattoo afterwards. My leg looks fantastic and my bagel was also delicious, but something was missing. I got some sushi. It was brilliant but not as good as this bagel. I got a second one. That was missing. The second bagel.“

“Went for a late lunch with a friend - there was a wonderful, quiet, relaxed atmosphere which I greatly appreciated. The booths by the window are generously sized and very comfortable. We feasted on specialty rolls, beautifully presented, and given their heft, consider the price point to be very reasonable. Everyone was so very nice and the food was (very, very good) excellent. Happy Hour pricing was actually quit generous. All in all, just a really great place. I will be back.“

“Our miso soups and edamame arrived within two minutes of ordering despite Sushi Aji being at 100% seating capacity. Sushi platters followed quickly and the tuna and salmon lovers combo was one of the better bargains I've seen for Denver sushi with the tuna nigiri being melt in your mouth soft and the salmon fresh as well. All the rolls were great, the ginger was sharp and our server made sure we had everything we needed on a great cadence. We'll be back!“

“I ordered the chicken miso ramen for take out -- i didn't realize until I was eating it that I've actually never had *restaurant* chicken ramen before (only ever chasu pork restaurant ramen, or chicken instant ramen). It was absolutely delicious! Not quite as heavy and creamy as chasu pork ramen, which was what I was craving. It was still plenty hearty and satisfying, while also being a more fresh option than traditional ramen. I didn't stay long in the shop, but it had a great atmosphere!“

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

“My friend and I went here for Valentine's Day. We hadn't made plans because we weren't celebrating the holiday, so we had no reservations. The place was packed. The hosts were busy coordinating reservations that went as late as past 11 pm, as they were open until midnight. They were kind in their greeting and offered us space at the bar, if we could find it. We couldn't. As the wait time was over an hour and a half, we left to go somewhere else but decided to return a little later to check back at the bar. We found some seats that had just been cleared, so we saddled up for a chill time with chopsticks and great ambiance. We were greeted by the friendliest, most energetic bartender I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with while dining out, much less when a place is that busy. She had a smile for miles as she walked us through bar suggestions featuring her alcohol favorites. The reason we rallied to try again at Hapa was that my friend has a serious gluten issue with his severe celiac disease and has never had a problem with their dedicated menu. The gluten-free menu is extensive for such a specialized diet, automatically paired with their gluten-free soy sauce. Since we were sharing our samplings of sushi, sashime, salad, and sake, I went ahead and ordered from that menu as well. I didn't taste any difference in my experience. Our servings were well-timed with salad, main dishes, accompanying sake and wine... and, again, our awesome bartender sharing company with us, a truly gifted gal of service. If I tried to recommend this place more, I'd sound silly. That said, thank you for one of the best Valentine's Day, un-Valentines evenings I've ever had! We left happy with our choice for the night and full in our bellies!“

“Red Ginger has become one of our favorite sushi spots. A friend first introduced us to it as one of those hidden-gem places worth driving for…we came all the way from Bear Creek specifically to try it, and it quickly became a regular stop.
Now, whenever we’re heading downtown for an event or leaving the museums/botanic garden, we often find ourselves saying, “Let’s go to Red Ginger!” It’s the perfect stop on the way home. The sushi hits that ideal middle ground: carefully crafted, satisfying, reasonably priced, and consistently served efficiently with a smile.
For about $75, the two of us can enjoy an appetizer, five or six rolls, leave completely full, and usually still have a little snack to take home. Great food, great value, and an easy go-to whenever we’re in the area.“

“I've been eating at this spot for years. I usually come once a week for sushi and a few other items throughout the store. Im basic and always get California rolls and lately its all avocado and no cucumber. Literally no cucumber at all in today's order. I usually don't eat the avocado and remove it since you cannot order it, its premade. It's disappointing that there is no cucumber and this isn't the first time either. Just feedback for chefs, I'm still coming back next week and the week after. I'd also like to note there are 2 slices of ginger for 9 rolls. That seems skimpy IMO“

“Stopped in after melting at the farmers market. What a great choice! The servers Ivy and Allen work together very well and everything was very evenly paced. I had a small sake and Dragon roll. Hubby had the Philly. Both were excellent as the pictures will show. They were very accommodating to my service dog, which is always appreciated and sets the tone for a delightful dining experience.
