The ice cream was delicious! They had several flavors to choose from. It was hard to decide on just one. The atmosphere is modern and cute! “My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. “For a town the size of Derby that doesn’t have a lot of Asian options, this is a GREAT place to choose. They have a Chinese, Japanese, and Thai menu. My wife and I have tried a few of their options and we both agree, the sushi here is fantastic. It’s good quality, with a generous amount of seafood meat and little rice. Often times, restaurants try to fool you with affordable sushi by giving you a ton of rice. But here, they hook you up. The wonton soup here is excellent as is mosh of the Chinese dishes we tried. We are excited to try their Thai menu options in the future. Service was absolutely excellent. This place deserves way more dine in business than what they are getting.“

We got the squid ink pasta and the filet. You could 110% taste the food was high quality and fresh but it missed the mark for us on taste. It lacked so much flavor. If you’re looking for a good simple meal with 5 star service, this is the place but if you’re looking for dishes that the chef cares about flavor and excitement, this restaurant lacks in that. If I had anything to complain about it would be the cocktail sauce was a bit wimpy for my taste. More horseradish, guys! We went to the pizza place next-door and had.Borek. It was also authentic to the Macedonia region and my husband enjoyed it. I would recommend this place for Pizza and Borek.“

“We visited Middlebury's greatest ice cream while we made a stop in Middlebury, Connecticut. Despite being a small store, they are able to produce a wide variety of flavors. We were served by a really nice young girl.

( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. Next time i know not to come right when they open up.“

Broccoli and carrots were very delicious. Definitely will be going back. House of Chao is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. “This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“
