“I ordered tea online on a whim, and wow, am I impressed! I live in central Massachusetts but I will most definitely take a drive down to Connecticut to see the cafe in person. The teas are divine, and the chocolate is out of this world. I could tell that it was packaged with love and care, could literally feel the good vibes oozing out of the box into the air. I already signed up for the tea journey subscription box and will likely be a lifelong customer. If you are looking for high quality tea, you’re in the right place!“

“This place was a hidden gem we recently discovered. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We got coffee and food and both were very delicious. We were also amazed at the beautiful pastries behind the glass displays. They were stunning and there was a large variety of options. The inside is small but had about 5 tables and it was very cutely decorated and furnished. They also have an adorable little outdoor patio area that we ended up moving out to and a man can put multiple times checking on us and the other guests. We would definitely go back for eat in or take out.“

“Stopped here with a friend for dinner before a concert at the Hartford Amphitheater. The food and service were excellent! The wait staff was attentive and I will be back if for nothing other than to grab another helping of the fried artichokes. Parking can be a little iffy as the dedicated lot is small, but we were easily able to park on the street outside the restaurant.“

“We’ve been going here for about 4 years and are never disappointed. My husband and I love their Spanish options (best huevos rancheros I’ve been able to find outside of New York), but they also have eggs, pancakes, and other “classic” items. And this is just their breakfast menu! Their lunch items are just as delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, service is fast even on a busy day, we LOVE all of the sauces on every table, it’s always clean, and they add new dishes pretty often to keep their menu fresh. Can’t say enough good things about them!“

Split the sweet potato pancakes. It was pancake with mashed sweet potato. The pancakes were well made fluffy and moist.
And had the grits with the “fried chicken”
Grits were flavorful, the fried chicken was fried oyster mushrooms and paired really well.
Highly recommend this place to vegans and vegetarians alike.“

“Love the relaxing atmosphere! We were able to enjoy a couple of Trivia Nights which were incredibly fun. The neighbors complaints put a stop to those 🤬🙄 The coffee is amazing! I cannot recommend their food because of the teeny tiny portions. I had a pricy salad that equaled to about two cups of greens & at most a 1/3 of a portobello mushroom cap. I went home & ate since I was starving! Note: I had the salad sans goat cheese. An increased amount of the other two ingredients would have been appreciated!“

“I recently went to the Crown Cafe for breakfast sandwiches. I called in the order on the phone and everything was ready when I got there. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the buns were fresh. The prices were very reasonable as well. Hope to go back soon.“

There is a cozy space indoors and a couple of tables outside in an alley. “Our company has been using Cafe 4 catering for years, each month for lunch. Everything we have ever ordered is always fresh & delicious. Our all time favorite is the Malin salad with grilled chicken. The balsamic vinaigrette is to die for. Also they have the best chicken salad wraps & turkey club wrap with chipotle mayo. All their sandwiches are great! Do yourself a favor & stop in for lunch, you will not be disappointed!“

The back patio has scenic wharf side views of both the Thames River traffic going by and a stream of Amtrak trains on the North East Corridor.
