“You know you’re going to have good food when the servers get excited about your menu decisions. Everything was absolutely wonderful. We got to sit at the bar with a direct view of the kitchen. I don’t know if the octopus or the truffle dumpling was my favorite, but I know I’m getting both when I go back. The whole fried snapper had a delicious light breading. The duck noodles were tasty too; I will probably try to get it spicier next time. I’ll likely be back in a couple of weeks. I’m still thinking about the food. Also, this husband-wife team perfected my experience by ensuring such excellent service. They need to teach a workshop to other restauranteurs.“

“Peter Chang is an absolutely amazing chef. This is one of his many restaurants. The menu allows you to order many small plates (akin to tapas) to try a variety of the menu. I had the soup dumplings and Peking Duck Buns for my appetizers and they were exceptional! I had the Dan Dan Noodles for my main course. It was also delicious. In fact, they were the best Dan Dan Noodles I've ever eaten! The portion is also very large as I had some difficulty finishing it.“

“We've been buying these dumplings from Costco for the past year and love them. We were so excited to find a storefront. The food was so good! We ordered the pork bao bun and the pork and chive dumplings. Prices were reasonable and the portions are perfect for sampling.“

“I had such a great experience at this restaurant! The food was really tasty, full of flavor, and everything felt fresh and well-prepared. What really stood out to me was the service — Camilo was super kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us great recommendations and made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back and I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and friendly service.“

“I came from the zoo and wanted to sit down for some lunch. We got the Peking Duck and we’re not disappointed. Order a hot tea, the tea service is beautiful. We tried Beef and Vegetable Dumplings, they were juicy and rich, and earned a high recommendation. We were delighted we chose Han Palace it is beautiful and welcoming with superb service.“

“The food is very enjoyable. Better than the others within a few blocks of this location. The egg rolls are huge but they do a good job with the pork so it's tasty. They use the same pork in the fried rice. I enjoyed the star-shaped crab Rangoon these are better than most carryout restaurants. The Gen Tso Chicken was sweet and crispy. Overall, I had a good experience and I'll order from them again next time I happen to want Chinese food while in this area.“

“This place has definitely improved. It use to smell really bad but that has changed. The menu changed and for the better. The popcorn chicken is really good, as well as the orange and fish! The friend rice isn’t great. The mango chicken has way too much sauce. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this place.“

“The most affordable, fast and tasty lunch option in the area. It’s a family-owned spot with great lunch specials and options for vegetarians. Highly recommend. It’s more of a takeout spot, but they have a few seats if you need to eat lunch in house“

“This all-you-can-eat Chinese spot did not disappoint. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor—everything from the dumplings to the lo mein hit the spot. The bottomless lemon drops? Dangerous in the best way—sweet, smooth, and just strong enough to keep the good vibes flowing.
The ambience and atmosphere were perfect—chill lighting, good music, and a cozy, inviting feel. And the customer service was top-tier—everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a fun spot to eat, drink, and enjoy for daytime or night. Already planning my next visit!“

“Panda Gourmet is phenomenal. The food is so delicious, and the prices are great. The string beans, eggplant, Mongolian lamb, and spicy chicken are key highlights. Seriously, the food is phenomenal.
One note: Panda Gourmet is really designed for family style. Come with a group, 6 or more so that you can get the variety and also share the dishes. If you're just ordering for yourself, you'll probably miss out on some of the best, since a dish that is literally 100% green beans/eggplant with nothing else is a very weird meal even if the taste is amazing!“

“Love this place! Happened upon it when I worked close by and went twice in one 3 days! The food is delicious, the ambiance is great, and their little server robot is adorable. The pork soup dumplings were the best I've had since returning to the states. Incredibly rich and meaty! Definitely check this place out!“

“I was almost misled by the rating. . . When I first watched it, it only scored 4.2 points, so I didn’t have any hope at all. As a result, every dish is extremely authentic, and the taste is unparalleled anywhere else in China. Twice-cooked pork, spicy beef noodles, hot and sour soup, every dish we ordered was impeccable“

“While the food at NeqBigWong was satisfying after a long night of live music, the overall experience was marred by the behavior of other patrons. Unfortunately, the staff seemed overwhelmed by the unruly and intoxicated crowd, which led to a tense and unpleasant atmosphere.
We narrowly avoided witnessing a physical altercation as we were about to place our order. It's clear that the staff is doing their best to maintain a positive environment, but the disruptive behavior of some customers is creating a challenging work environment.
Despite the negative aspects, the food itself was enjoyable and helped to alleviate some of the frustration. If you're planning a visit, it's advisable to be prepared for potential disruptions and to arrive at a time when the crowd is less rowdy.“

“This is some seriously good Ameri-Chinese food. Fresh, flavorful, great portions—all for a respectable price. Yes, it’s carry-out only. Assuming that’s why they’re able to keep the prices so low. But I loved swinging by here on my way home because the family who owns the place are so, so sweet.“

“I think this place needs higher stars. We're visiting from Florida and made our way to Chinatown and were looking for a decent place to eat. The food and service was excellent. Better than I expected. We ate the curry chicken which tasted like real curry. Sesame chicken was fresh and flavorful. The food came out quickly. I highly recommend this place.“

“The ONLY place in DC I get chinese food from. They have massive portions and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. I always get lo mein, seasame chicken, wonton soup and a taro boba tea. It lasts me for multiple meals which is perfect for my busy schedule. Also, the owner is an absolute gem of a human being. She takes alot of pride in her restaurant and it shows in her kindness, hospitality and delicious food. Thanks for keeping me full and happy!“

“I ordered take-out via Grubhub, the sushi was very fresh & tasted great. Presentation was all there however, the Volcano appetizer was tiny. For $13.00 and it being that small, if I had dined in the restaurant and it came out like that I would have sent it back. I won’t be ordering that again!“

“Takeout only. Cash only. You can call ahead to place a pickup order. Wide variety of food options. It's delicious, great size portions, and the prices aren't bad. This is the only Chinese food I eat within the DMV, I will, and I have traveled over an hour to get food from them.“

“I've ordered from this place sooo much. I always get the sashimi, I usually get the sashimi platter. This last time I got the sashimi appetizer + vegetable dumplings. I have learned that this is one of the sushi places that plays with the term, "white fish." Some places use it for white tuna, some use it for yellowtail etc. I got the sushimi appetizer as it was advertised as salmon, tuna, and white fish--my favorites, except not the white fish I wanted lol. This was more translucent, and half-pink. That was my gamble. Can't really tell what the white sashimi I get in the platter is, I think its white tuna, but I won't make the mistake again.Nice, solid slices of shaved ginger. Good if you're sick! I do wish the sashimi came with a condiment cup like the veggie dumplings did. Veggie dumplings were fine, nice and plump. Also love that the place is open late--I've been a night owl my whole life, so works for me!5 stars overall. I've only been in-person once, and it was very pleasant. You need to be let in, which doesn't take long. Lots of randos wandering around Chinatown so I get it.“

“The food was very good I was quite surprised how good it was. I ordered the buffalo wings, fried rice, steak & cheese & a triple mix drink. The buffalo sauce was on point & the triple mix was so bomb. My favorite new carryout.“

“I ordered on UberEats yesterday after seeing a TikTok review on them. 10/10 would recommend. I ordered 4wings with mumbo sauce, shrimp egg roll, and shrimp and broccoli. Everything was bomb. Best mumbo sauce in the city hands down. I could tell by the color it was going to be fire! Wings were seasoned and good. Shrimp and broccoli was torch. Shrimp egg roll actually had a nice amount of shrimp. Everything was so goood. Only carry out I’m going to from now on.“

“Kenny’s is a really solid carry out. The food is good. Not a ton of space to sit, which is typical of most Chinese food spots in this region. What stands out most about Kenny’s is the service. Unlike others, they don’t treat their customers like criminals, or like they’re afraid of us. The door to the back area is frequently opened. The employees greet me with a smile every time and ask me how my day is going. They remember me. They’re really kind and respectful, and as a black man, it’s rare to get that kind of service at a carry out. They usually just yell and poke food through bullet proof glass like they’re feeding sharks. It’s great to be treated like a fellow human being. I recommend the donuts. They’re super addictive!“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“I’ve visited many Chinese restaurants in DC over the years, but one spot stands out above the rest. For a project I’ve been working on, I’ve had the opportunity to visit a small, family-owned establishment run by a dedicated couple. Their commitment to cleanliness and high standards in their kitchen is truly remarkable, setting them apart in an industry where standards can sometimes vary.
Speaking with patrons, I’ve learned that many have been loyal customers for over 18 years—a testament to the consistency and quality of this restaurant. Everyone raves about how fresh and clean the food is, and how the owner, especially, goes above and beyond to help her regulars, all while keeping prices affordable.
Everything I’ve tried from the menu has been outstanding, from the perfectly cooked chicken wings—a staple in DC—to the flavorful chow mein and fried rice. Every dish reflects the care and attention they put into their craft.
This is more than just a restaurant—it’s a gem worth recognizing for its excellent food, warm hospitality, and unwavering commitment to its customers.
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp no stairs or anything really easy accessible“

“This was my first time going to Spring Garden! This is a wonderful restaurant with a great menu of Chinese cuisine. Today I opted for wings and vegetable fried rice. I liked that the food was not oily and the wings were the right crisp! Ms. Nana was very pleasant with us, and the restaurant is nice, too. Can't wait to return!“
