“Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. This small, family-owned restaurant won my heart within seconds of walking through the door. My friends and I were visiting from out of town and happened to stumble upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat. We didn’t even realize until after being seated that we had arrived only about 30 minutes before closing. Not once did they make us feel rushed or like an inconvenience — quite the opposite. Pane e Amore is a truly authentic, family-owned Italian restaurant. The menu is simple yet unique, and every single thing we tried — from drinks to dessert — was incredible. We enjoyed the red blend wine, beer, and the pasta of the day: an Italian sausage spaghetti in a white sauce, made completely from scratch, right down to the noodles. It tasted like real Italian food and genuinely made us feel as though we were sitting in the heart of Italy. While our entrées were being prepared, we were served bruschetta that was crisp, light, and perfectly cooked — not overly hard like it often is elsewhere. We finished with a dessert that was equally light and delicious. The service was unmatched. Every interaction was genuine, heartfelt, and full of care. We were treated like family, and in the short time we were there, it felt like visiting relatives in Italy for the holidays. Five stars simply isn’t enough — this place deserves a ten. “We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Be sure you make a reservation and be prepared to enjoy a fantastic German meal!“

“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. “Back Alley is my favorite shop at my favorite beach. Its usually an every day stop while we're staying on the island. The coffee is always fantastic and I find the best souvenirs there. I especially love drinking coffee from my Back Alley Insulated cup at home because it reminds me of my happy place when I cant be there. Today was a fantastic day because I got to visit Back Alley! It was our first time in since all the storm damage and the place looks even more beautiful than it did before!“

“We stopped by Pelican’s Snoballs in Bradenton and were pleasantly surprised! They have a huge variety of flavors to choose from, and the snoballs are soft, fluffy, and packed with that authentic New Orleans flavor. A perfect treat on a hot Florida day!

They’re currently running a great deal—$20 for 25 coins, and each coin is worth $1. It’s a fun and budget-friendly way to treat the whole family. In addition to snoballs, they also offer other frozen treats and ice cream options, so there’s something for everyone.

“I was in the area on a work trip and one of my co-workers recommended me visiting Siesta Village while here. After watching the sunset and very quick search of best places to eat near me, I decided to stop at The Cottage. Best decision I made. First the host didn't treat me any differently when I said I was dining alone. She was friendly and took me to a nice spot so I could listen to the live music. Then Cecelia....she was an absolute gem. Incredibly friendly and did NOT steer me wrong when I was stuck between ordering the Lobster Maki Sushi or the Seared Scallops. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Lobster Maki Sushi and it was the best decision. The flavors and mix of lobster with the shaved teriyaki tenderloin with just the right amount of char smoke was perfect...I cleaned my plate. But before that, I started with a bowl of the lobster bisque. I have eaten a lot of lobster bisque...it's one of my favorite soups. BUT the lobster bisque at The Cottage was one of the BEST I've ever had....certainly my absolute favorite! And on top of the amazing Cecelia and sweet host, I was checked in on by a wonderful woman who asked how I was, what I ordered, how I enjoyed everything...just made me feel so welcomed and at home...which helps a lot when you're stuck eating out alone. I didn't even know she was the GM until the very end when she introduced herself to me and we shared how I have a bracelet to follow a sea turtle and she has one to follow an elephant. If you haven't tried The Cottage yet, go now! I wish I was here longer so that I can go back again before leaving, but I'll make sure to be back next time I'm in town. In the meantime, I'll dream about that lobster bisque (and my delicious Mango Mule with Tito's).“

“Visiting Sarasota and needed a place to have a quick bite, saw Sun King Brewing and got my interest. They don't have a kitchen, but there was a food truck that had New Haven Style pizza (I'm told that the crust is charred is the technique). My mum and grams finished the 2 boxes of pizza they ordered.

Back to the brewery, the bartender was super helpful since my grams hasn't been to a brewery in awhile. Sun King has alot of drinks that are fruity, sweet or taste like ice cream. My favorite was the Orange Cream Ale because it's exactly like the ice cream when I drank as part of a flight. In 1 pint form, the taste gets a little diluted. The Lollipop Watermelon would have to be my second go to, sweet, but tarty. Ended up buying a pack of beer because of the cute dog/cat designs, can't wait to try it back at home!!“
