“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

“My husband and I had a lovely meal. We were there on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was somewhat busy but not crowded at all. We were seated right next to a young couple, who were charming, but.. we could here every word of their conversation. Regardless, we had an enjoyable experience. Our meal was expensive, but we were expecting that. The staff was super friendly. We definitely plan to go back. If you're not a big sushi fan like me, you can definitely find things on the menu to enjoy.“

For our experience, service was nice. Sushi and hibachi rice, wings were okay. They need more seasoning. The hibachi meat need to be cook better; Sushi needs to have more flavor. “One of the best casual sushi Japanese restaurants I've been to in Atlanta area. On the pricier side, but the portion size was very good and the fish quality was excellent. Server was exceptionally friendly. If you enjoy traditional Japanese sushi, add this to your list! It's a small operation and only open for dinner, so it's highly recommended (if not required) to place a reservation.“

“We got takoyaki, a Malaysian seafood fried rice, and a salmon combo. Everything was fantastic. I love sushi and these were the thickest cut pieces of salmon I’ve ever gotten. We were surprised to see the fried rice had scallops and lobster. And, overall the prices were comparable (and often cheaper) than other sushi places I’ve been to. I’m so excited to go back!“

“We love sushi and had eaten at all the nicest sushi restaurants in Atlanta except for this one, so we decided to try it. We had the premium omakase and it was AMAZING. This was both of our favorite experience - usually I prefer more fun and flavorful rolls (ie like Eight) and my husband likes his sushi more pared down (ie Tomo, Nobu, Mujo), but the sushi struck the perfect balance of letting the fish shine without being boring, adding a hint of flavor to enhance. I never eat wasabi but the wasabi relish was incredible - I put on every bite! John, our server, was professional and personable and made our dinner very special - great recs and accommodations! We usually dine out on special occasions (bdays, anniversaries) and it’s not uncommon for it to go unrecognized.. this was the opposite experience. Just a night out but it felt very special. We also loved the vibe- not stuffy or pretentious (some babies even which I don’t think is common but we didn’t care, they didn’t detract!) while maintaining high caliber of service and food. Overall, 10/10 and we will definitely be back. Our new favorite sushi restaurant!“

“Went to this place in Doraville, GA called Yebisuya where I had Omurice for the first time along with a Yebisuya Bun that I also got and tried for the first time. Omurice: although this wasn't the Omurice I was expecting this was definitely still a very delicious version. Underneath is a bed of fried rice that was just so good with an omelet layered on top of it. They give you 3 sauce choices Spicy Kewpie Mayo, Ketchup, and Tonkatsu sauce. I chose the spicy mayo which by the way wasn't spicy at all I could have ate a ton of that stuff with no problem and those that know me know I don't handle spice well lol. Yebisuya Bun: is basically a steamed bun with chicory, scallion, and I got it with Tonkatsu pork in it and yall when I tell yall I could have ate 10 of these bad boys. The bun was so soft and the filling was sooooo flavorful like you just have to try it. We didn't add many dishes on because it was our first time and we didn't feel we needed to. After only deciding to add the negitoro temaki each, we left feeling comfortably full. Another dish would have been too much, though we may have to return to explore more unusual add-on dishes like the crab. Each dish was beautifully composed and packed with gentle flavor. It was restrained yet never repetitive. We've enjoyed omakase before, but this may be our best experience. There was a beautiful progression and the pairings were well done and well explained. The tempo was a bit fast for me at the very beginning of the zensai courses, but over the course of the meal things slowed to a better pace, allowing for conversation with fellow diners and staff. Let’s start with the Dj he was great! You can vibe but also still hear yourself think. The food was so good I had the seafood wontons 10/10 I was very pleased. It was crispy but not to hard it was perfect. I also had the steak and without even telling them the cook I wanted it came out perfect!! PERFECT! “Umi never disappoints. I usually come here for dates, but recently visited with a group of 4 for a celebration and it was perfect.

The real star of the show is our server Matt T. - if you get the chance to sit in his section, do it. We told him our preferences and dislikes, and he coursed out an entire meal for us from start to finish. His recommendations were spot-on: the yellowtail jalapeno, spicy tuna crispy rice, caviar toast, and otoro caviar were all incredible. The drinks were great too. Matt was attentive without being intrusive, explained each dish, and made the whole experience feel personalized. I highly recommend this approach - just tell him what you like and let him take care of the rest.

“Met a friend for lunch and it was a great experience. Fresh to order rolls, well done and generous sizing. The house salad alone was crisp, abundant and full of color which is not the norm. Dressing was a perfect amount. Ordered 3 rolls and they were executed well. Everything came out orderly and on time. Our server Carolina was wonderful and attentive.
