“A cute little taco stand advertising “authentic Mexican food” located just off the main highway in Hanapepe (although I think there are other locations elsewhere on the island).

On a Monday at 11:45 we were the only customers and each ordered two tacos, fish and carnitas. You order at the window and they call you when the food is ready. There are a handful of picnic tables scattered around the taco shack or get the food to go.

The fish taco was good, but the pork with big chunks of tender pork was fantastic-highly recommended. They were pretty quick and reasonably priced with tacos around $7 each.“

“Great food! Wow we were impressed. A lot of plate lunch spots can be so repetitive but this one stood out.We got one of everything and didn’t regret it.Got the kalbi ribs , chicken, pork belly(taste like an amazing pork chop) and mahi w/creamy sauce and capers. We asked to get everything a lil more browned and he did and it was so tasty. My family of four(who are picky) loved it…not picky cause they don’t like anything but picky cause we cook so good at home, we’re not easily impressed.Lots of love was put into the food. Marinated , browned, and good portions. The only critique is that the fish could’ve used a dash more of salt but I understand that when it comes to fish you don’t want to over season so u can taste the fish. But it was still cooked really well, fresh and did enjoy it.We also enjoyed the little bit of Kimchi that was added, nice touch. And I think it was grilled? The Mac salad was bomb and so was the saimin was better than the norm. Had a bit of smokiness.We needed up get everything if u go.But There were a couple tables there.This spot didn’t have many reviews so we were hesitant but we’re really glad we went and we hope more people start going and support this food truck. We loved it. We live on Oahu but if we lived on island this would be one of our go to spots. The owner was super nice , friendly and helpful.Thanks chef! ?“

“After a long morning at Waimea State Park, I picked Da Booze Shop because the name made me laugh. Well the jokes on me because the food, service, and atmosphere were stellar! I have always loved eating in Mom and Pop places because they always have the best food. I got the Mahi Katsu and had enough leftover for a snack. If you are traveling with kids this is a great place to eat. You can eat across the street at the park and let the kids play and expend some energy.“

“Food at La Spezia is outstanding! This was the first time dining at La Spezia (party of three), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food was the most delicious any of of us has ever had. I ordered the gnocchi, my friend ordered the short rib ravioli (and couldn't stop raving about it!), and my husband devoured the wagyu hanger steak (he said it was amazing!). The wine we drank was terrific as well (a red zinfandel)! Even though all of us were full, we ordered dessert the salted caramel panna cotta, which was outstanding! All in all a meal we will never forget! We highly recommend La Spezia for a very enjoyable night, to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Koloa.“

“Good place for dinner after a day exploring Waimea Canyon. We ordered a veggie pizza for take out. The pizza was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it.
However, we asked to 'substitute' a few toppings but were charged for 'substitutes' as 'extra toppings'. One pizza cost us $45+ tips. So, we paid for the toppings we never had on our pizza too. in this regard, make sure you check before paying.“

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). Craving Thai absolutely blew me away! From the moment we walked towards the food truck, the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations without being pushy.

We started with the crispy spring rolls and it had fresh flavors and perfectly balanced spices. For the main course, I had the pad see ew and crispy chicken, and it was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever tasted with it being rich, tasty, and just the right level of heat.
Portions were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality.

Craving Thai has easily become my new go to spot for Thai food. Highly recommend!“

“Portion sizes! These guys kill it. Buddy behind the bar is phenomenal and the vibes of the place is a perfect combo of Italian restaurant vibes with relaxed Hawaii atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the island too.

Food times are ever so slightly longer but hey, it’s worth it! They’re a busy place!

“The best place I’ve had food in Kauai. The service was amazing, I didn’t have to ask for a refill one time. The waiter/waitress were very attentive. The food was delicious and wasn’t expensive and bland like most things on the island. Definitely a good spot to eat!“

There are two sauces that he keeps outside and we added the red/spicy sauce on top and they gave the tacos a great kick! Food was made to order and very fresh!“

My wife had the mahi mahi tacos and I had the mahi sandwich and they were fantastic. We also had two drinks each, the last two were the lava flow (delicious) and mudslide (not bad, but not great). The views are gorgeous overlooking the ocean and the prices aren’t awful. For 4 cocktails and two entrees it was about $120 which is honestly one of the cheaper places near the beach.“

The onion rings were good, but we only got 2 with our order of Frings. I would say if you are craving a small, cheap burger and there's no line, it's worth it. “Came for happy hour! Food is simple but cooked well and tasty! 2 drink minimum if you come for happy hour. We got the tacos for taco Tuesday. Some teriyaki wings (breaded). Coconut shrimp and pork belly appetizer. Beers are served in frosty mugs! Definitely recommend stopping here for a casual dining experience. They also have a ton of tvs for any sporting event! Great views and the open air kept it at a great temperature inside.“

My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!“
