- mochiko chicken over garlic noodles 7.5/10: chicken was a bit dry... flavor was good though. garlic noodles tasted kinda old and dry as well. still yummy though!
- ramen meh 6/10: too fishy for my liking
- poke 9/10: great quality tuna, slimey and no mush. the sauce was also fire and there were little mochi crackers sprinkled inside. my favorite dish from here by far!
- fish sando 7.5/10 thin cut of fish but tasty. not too flavorful. more bread than fish but still good. bread was buttery.“

“My favourite place on the island to eat, worth every penny. I daydream about it. Hot food bar with tons of vegan options (there is no meat in the store at all, it’s a vegetarian grocery story with hot food bar by weight, and a bistro with food and smoothies). The salad bar is unreal. I love the late hours. I also always hit it on the way to the airport. I wish this was my business and I’d love to meet the brains behind this operation, just so cool. “My Thai’s atmosphere was different than any restaurant I’ve seen before and seems to be very personality-driven. Matthew was great and greeted us, giving us complimentary water while we waited and mango sticky rice (delicious!) when he learned that we were honeymooners. We also got the orange chicken bao.“

We absolutely loved our meals at Ono Teppanyaki and Seafood! The Ribeye, New York steaks, and Lobster & Shrimp plates were all incredibly good. Every dish came with delicious rice and perfectly grilled onions, zucchini, and mushrooms. The sitting area is clean with plenty of tables and trash bins. Highly recommend for a tasty meal!“

It was utterly divine!!!! I wish I could take this plate home on the flight. I wouldn’t miss out on this meal.

My husband got the combo plate with the fukake fried poke and the ribeye and it was mouth watering. ALL the flavor and juiciness you could imagine. I 1000000000000% would recommend.“

“This is like the place that opened forever ago. Mom is still a server, the booths, dishes and salt shakers have been the same ones since the day they opened. The bathroom is also the storage room, the windows haven't been cleaned...ever and they finally allow credit card payments. BUT, the food tastes like it was made at home. Service is fast, very friendly, great prices. I had the fried rice with egg and a red hot dog...what's a red hot dog? Anyway, it was delicious!“

“Really good Filipino food. Extra large servings! Freshly cooked so it was a bit of a wait but very much worth the time. Our group of 10 people really enjoyed all the dishes especially the grilled pork, pompano and bangus. Forgot to take photos of the food as we dug right in! Worth the trip! Jayboy himself cooked the dishes then came out to have a nice chat with our group. Friendly guy.“

“We were looking for a restaurant in Kahului for a supper prior to catching our flight home. We were lucky to find this gem! The restaurant is a small, non-assuming space in a commercial area. However, the garden eating area is nicely set up and inviting. Our hostess and serving staff were very friendly and informative. The food was excellent. I had the Rouladen and my wife had pork tenderloin Daily special. Both were good size portions and delectable. We also enjoyed an apple strudel. I would definitely return to this restaurant.“

“We actually took our food to go. We had a few appetizers plus 2 dinners. All of the food was Ono! 😊
I was disappointed that they no longer carry tapioca pudding. They said that no one was ordering it so it was discontinued. That was too bad. 😩
Our dinners were huge with our pupu’s. We had the left overs the next night. I highly recommend this place! 🤙🏼👍“

“Great variety of poke, good value, and best poke I had on Maui! We ate here 3 times in 4 days. We tried the Ahi, blue fin, salmon, and marinated cucumber. I recommend them all! The service is quick and friendly. It is located inside a Foodland, and there is no seating.“

“I cried good tears this morning. I've never in my life cried because of how divine the food was. I ordered the crab cakes benedict, usually when I order crab cakes it's a hash brown with little bits of crab meat but this one is purely crab and it was so fresh like it was caught in the early hours before restaurant opened. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was heavenly. It was love on a plate, my compliments to the chef! Service was absolutely wonderful, lovely and welcoming ladies. FOOD:
Chicken Katsu
While this is far from being a Korean dish, it's what I was craving. The two slabs of chicken were breaded and deep-fried to a golden brown, and laid out on 2 scoops of steamed white rice. You can choose 4 banchan sides, in which I got mac salad x2, bean sprouts, and potato mayo. Their katsu sauce is too sweet, which is why I always do takeout so I can use my Kagome-brand sauce from home lol.

Man Doo Kook Soo
This is a Korean version of ramen but was anything but. The rice noodles were a bit overcooked and didn't have any chewiness to it. I like them as a somen dish but not as a noodle soup. The broth was clear, very subtle in flavor, and tasted similar to egg drop soup. The bowl was topped with 4 good-sized pieces of soft mandoo with a tasty pork filling, egg washed shredded pork, and cooked white & green onions. Temperature was hot but not searing. Better than pho but it'd never dethrone a ramen in my world, lol.

SERVICE:
The workers were welcoming and friendly. I got my order in about 10 minutes.

“Family friendly place. All soup base was pork and we don't eat pork. They were able to do water base. On the seaweed and egg soup. Did the fried chicken but I think they use same oil for pork for the chicken because it had a taste that was not right.
They were very nice and helpful so we had the soup , veggies and drinks. Paid for the chicken didn't want to be any more trouble.“

“8/2023We were staying across the street at Maui Seaside Hotel to support Maui relief efforts. This was a very convenient and pleasant option. Food and selection were great, quick, and supported with friendly service. It was bust but didn't take too long to get to our table of nine. Not going into details about the plethora of items we ordered but suffice to say everything was onolicious! Again, the friendly service ( may have been the manager) helped top off the evening. “I stayed at the hotel on a business trip, dined at Rainbow Terrace restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast and dinner were the buffet price excellent. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet and laid back. The restaurant staff were friendly and made sure all my drinks were kept full. If you are here on a budget, turn down your gourmet food appetite expectations. Where can you eat all you want for $17 for breakfast and dine prime rib and Chinese cuisine under $40? Nowhere. Highly recommended for business and budget travelers.“
