“Typical Panda Express in a small strip of shops next to Walmart. Strip parking is usually available but walmart lot neighbors with lots of parking. Love the super greens option as a base. Kung pao chicken and broccoli beef are always great. It would be nice to get the brown rice back.“

“Highly recommend this restaurant! We visited Lam’s Kitchen twice during our stay in Honolulu, and it truly felt like a taste of home. The food is light yet well-seasoned, comforting without being heavy.
We ordered the beef chow fun, beef look fun, wonton, and boiled liver. Every dish was delicious. Most importantly, after finishing the soup and noodles, our stomachs felt warm and comfortable. No heaviness at all.

“Chong Qing Cuisine provides Sichuan style dishes with bold flavors, spice level to your liking, and a full stomach. The menu has limited selection, but providing consistent flavor and tender meats. Service is fair and interior is clean. The seating has only 5 tables and ordering is self serve. Unfortunately, they dont have desserts and parking is metered street parking. Free after 5pm“

“This is the first place I've gone to where the staff told me prices have gone down because they found efficiency in their operation, very honest business. Staff are kind and they serve up really delicious shrimp dumpling, half moon, and shumai. Portions are large considering how much filling they add. Highly recommended“

“If you're looking for some roast pork, chicken or duck come here. It's a pick up and go place so don't expect a place to sit unless you find some outside in the plaza. If you're looking for simple, great tasting roasted meat on rice or crispy noodles this is the place. It's simple and delicious. The menu isn't extensive. Other than those roasted meats there's also ginger chicken that I particular love.

The cost of the food here is a great value as well. Each plate I got was enough to feed 2 or 3 people. I would recommend getting a mix of the meats and share. It was all good.“

“This is, by far, the best noodle place in town in my opinion. The pricing is fair, the food is delicious, and the service is impeccable.
I also want to give a shout-out to the server whom I dealt with just now. I always ask for more sauce for the fried chicken appetizer. For most people, the amount they give is probably enough, but I am a glutton for the stuff. She gave me extra for my to-go order, but when I got home (only a few blocks away), I decided that I still wanted more. When I went back, she gave me two more servings and refused to charge me for them. I was absolutely adamant that I at least give her an extra tip for the trouble. She seemed bothered by this, but I left the money on the counter, thanked her, and walked away.
To the server: I'm sorry that I did not get your name so that I'm not able to truly thank you properly, but I appreciate you and you absolutely deserve every bit of that tip.
To the management: thank you so much for everything you do. Your food is incredible, and your staff is wonderful.

“My wife and I are visiting the Hawaii islands for the 1st time; we are trying to soak up as much Honolulu as possible during this 5 night stay. Today was Lolani Palace, Queen Emma’s Summer palace and finished the day off with an early dinner in Chinatown. Lo Foo Hook Cantonese restaurant in the Asian Culture Center was FABULOUS DELICIOUS. Start with home sweet lemon tea, iced. Sautéed pork with sweet n sour cabbage, shrimp with assorted veggies and a shared plate of fried fish balls, a must. Chinatown is must stop Honolulu walkabout and Le Foo Hook is a must stop lunch/dinner choice.

“The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was an unexpected find. We try to find non-touristy and local restaurants. It’s about 35 minutes from Honolulu. Annika (sp?) was a wonderful server. She answered all our questions, gave perfect suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious and had leftovers (we ordered a lot). We had crab rangoons & the soft won tons as appetizers. Pat ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Plate and half Roasted Duck, which he LOVED. I ordered the Pepper Garlic Pork Chop (DELICIOUS!!) and Hawaiian Fried Rice. I asked for sau-sau-an (sp? a type of Filipino vinegar garlic dipping sauce), which added to the taste of the pork. The Ube Ice Cream was a delicious surprise. The reason for the 4 stars for food is because the fried rice was a little overcooked. If we were staying longer, we would go to it a few more times. If you get a chance to go, you won’t be sorry.“

If only we had places like this on the mainland… The HK milk tea here is legit, and you should know that same flavor is hard to get right overseas. It’s uncommon to find a place like this with such close/exact flavors even in Chinatown of NYC or San Francisco.“

“Excellent food here! We had the scallop fried rice, garlic shrimp, peking duck and fresh fish. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned, not too oily and didn't have much MSG flavour. We are from Vancouver (which has no shortage of good Chinese food) and this is one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to!“

“Authentic and delicious Hunan food! The duck was perfect. We also had the frog dish, mushroom dish, and seasonal vegetables. They were all very good. My fiancé is living in Changsha now, so we know the food well. Please add Chinese tea to your menu instead of the western black tea. I would suggest Longjing or Tieguanyin. If you want a roasted tea you could offer wuyi rock tea. Your guests will love it.“

We stumbled on this place while checking out Chinatown in Oahu.
This is not a restaurant, this is a Cheung fun factory, they make the fresh rice rolls wholesale for other restaurants!
We made soup noodles out of their plain noodles (look fun) it was incredibly fresh and delicious. The noodles held their shape, they are made in the very old fashioned Cantonese way!
We really appreciate the attention to authenticity, much better than all of the Chinatowns in other parts of the world that we have visited!
We loved our first visit so much, we returned to buy 2 char siu and 1 ha mi Cheung fun!
They are massive and for the price, it's an insane deal! They're tasty, they're fresh , they have the perfect bouncy texture! They did have small packets of soy sauce to eat with it as well!
It's just like the old fashioned, dim sum restaurant in Asia.
I don't think you can find this anywhere else!
This is a hidden gem, and we hope they will continue to be here for a long time!“

“Solid Cantonese and local food made fresh in large portions for reasonable prices. Amazing choice of dishes. Service is more than adequate, friendly, caring about their regular customers. The place is utilitarian, nothing fancy. Order and pay at the counter, they bring the dishes to you, all in takeout containers. Plenty of parking, near the airport. My wife says that it's now added to our rotation when visiting Honolulu. She and I split an order of minute chicken on soft noodles. It was a stretch for us to finish it.“

Busy lunch crowd on a weekday but managed to get a parking stall near the restaurant. Walked in a little after they opened so they were still stocking some of the hot food items.

Stand in line and wait you turn till youre called, line moved quite fast. Ordered a 2 choice plate lunch, the plates are still massive as I remember, though prices have gone up. Still worth it imo. Got a mix chow fun/ginger chicken fried rice with sweet sour fish and beef bittermelon. And 2 piece gau gee. For a little under $20 this was enough for 2 meals.

“This little hidden gem is the best! We visited this centrally located spot during our trip to Oahu. It is a mom and pop owned shop with delicious, fresh, and authentic Chinese food. Our favorites were the potstickers were so fresh and crispy (they make them homemade!) and the beef and broccoli.
We went for dinner. The service was also super fast - they were super attentive so great to grab a quick bite for lunch or takeout. It is really clean inside and a very welcome environment.

“So I have been going here for years because I love Don Quijote nut this is the first time I have written a review. So I have lived in San Francisco and these guys are definetly the real thing. They have great duck and Char Siu as well as roast pork. I usually get the baked manapua and the pork hash. The baked manapua has a nice soft bun and the filling is great fresh with lots of meat. And the pork hash is great because it has chunks of water chestnut and other delicious veggies mixed in with the pork hash. The service has always been fast and friendly and the decor is well traditional Chinese restaurant .“
