“My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Haleiwa Joe’s for our anniversary! We arrived at around 3:30 to wait in line. We were seated right at 4:00 and had an amazing view! Great service and delicious food. We loved the luau crab dip and our main dishes as well. Will be returning in the future and bringing guests, too! Overall a lovely experience, and we’ll look forward to coming back.“

“This is a place that you need to plan accordingly the wait for our order was 50 minutes and they have no seating so we called ahead and planned a beach day where we could enjoy our lunch. On the website they do caution you that it’s not fast food and normally takes 40-50 minutes so don’t expect great food to be ready in 5 minutes. It’s definitely worth the wait since everything we ordered was excellent! I can’t imagine how good it would be if we ate it after being freshly made. They make their noodles so everything is cooked fresh and made to order. You can even see the noodles being made in the shop. We ordered the Garlic Ulu Portabello, Lechon Malunggay, Adobong Lechon Kawali and then made our own pasta where you pick the noodles, sauce and protein. Servings size are huge so we all shared and got to try a lot of food. My fav was definitely the Lechon Malunggay. Lechon was so crispy and the noodles so tasty. But everything was sooo deliciousThe lady at the counter was so friendly.“

“We went here for my spouse's birthday dinner. Upon walking in, one hostess was exceptional with a birthday greeting, and we were excited. The live music was amazing, and we had a great table right by it. Cocktails were spectacular and I loved the drink menu... bar staff was was excellent. My spouse got the Chinese-style mahi mahi, and it had incredible flavor! I ordered the rib eye; while cooked well, it was mostly fat unfortunately and I enjoyed the mahi mahi much more. Service was pretty good although I would've appreciated the server just acknowledging my spouse's birthday.“

“Absolutely recommend Orchids at Halekulani! This is an incredible brunch experience overlooking the ocean. Tony, Benjamin, and the entire staff that waited on us were amazing -- they truly made the experience! We had a special request, and they listened and made it happen perfectly. The food was exceptional. Compliments to the Chef and staff!“

“You won't believe the amazing 60th birthday party my uncle had at this place! The food and ambiance were absolutely incredible! We had live Hawaiian music played by my boyfriend, and our entire family danced the hula all night long! And let me tell you, that roast pig was to die for! It was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside...you have to check out the video I took! The location is unbeatable, right by the ocean and next to the Prince Hotel in Waikiki. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this incredible experience!“

“Delicious food, great service! The signature martini (pineapple & coconut) were too easy to drink (a bit steep at $19ea!). The dragon roll was amazing, as were all our entrées (Butterfield, based short ribs & whole snapper). I appreciate the half servings available for some entrées (I didn't even finish my whole dish).“

“We had not been to Michel's for 30 years and still the setting cannot be beat. The waiter assigned to our table was busy so two other waiters, both named Michael, came over at different times to speak with us. They were personable and knowledgeable. I wanted foie gras as an appetizer and the chef was very accommodating. We shared three appetizers; foie gras, oysters, and escargot which were all first rate. Our entrees were Beef Rosinni and steak and lobster, again they did not disappoint. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is the elegance it used to have has dropped a notch and excluding the two Michaels, the wait staff lacks the finesse that they all had previously. It is still a very good restaurant and I will go back again.“

“I have been here several times over the past year for "high tea." It is always amazing, from the food & service to the beautiful ocean and courtyard views. We celebrated our anniversary with friend from out of state and everything was wonderful. We all chose the Moana Classic Tea with finger sandwiches, sweet offerings, tropical sorbet and tea (we each chose a different flavor). A few of my favorites (this time) were the Ratatouille Tart and the Smoked Salmon Mousse Blini, but I really enjoyed them all.Our friend has a food allergy and our server was very accommodating. He made other suggestions to some of the sandwiches and all of the "exchanges" were fabulous. Each time we have been, the menu has changed, although most of the tea's are the same flavors (only 2 or 3 have changed). The quality of the food is the same (5 stars)I would definitely suggest Moana Surfer Rider - The Veranda at the Beachhouse for all of your special occasions.Parking: The Valet parking is free with validation of "High Tea" service. Otherwise, there is parking across the street at International Market Place garage (I am not sure what the current rates are).“

“During my first visit to Hawaii, a friend introduced me to this wonderful spot. When I returned, I made it my mission to come back here—and it was absolutely worth the wait! While prices have risen due to inflation, it remains a fantastic place to indulge. Highly recommend!Parking: Parking in the lot can be challenging during lunch hours. I recommend planning ahead or opting to park across the street near Safeway for a smoother experience.“

“Restaurant: A Roy Yamaguchi restaurant, Eating House 1849 combines local foods, cultral heritage, and culinary skill to bring Hawaii's flavors to modern cuisine. Ambiance: Upscale local dining Parking: Lot parking at international market place. Service: Above expectation. Servers and hosts were happy to accomodate my party's preferences and went beyond to provide many congratulatory messages to make our night special. I would highly recommend Eating House for dining events when celebrating any momentous event. Food: I ordered the Build you Own Local Catch Dish with Kampachi, Steamed, Sizzling Serrano Ginger. You are able to customize your meal with the type of fish, method of preparation, and choice of sauce. Delicious all around, would reccomend. For dessert, I got the strawberry cheesecake. It was a strawberry ice jelly on the top of a cheesecake with crust. The cheesecake was as expected, but the strawberry jelly was a bit bland, tasting mostly like ice and a hint of strawberry. I was told it was a new item so hopefully they can perfect the recipe.“

“Sean stands out as a knowledgeable, friendly, professional, attentive part of the Ruth Chris team in Honolulu. My husband and I were very impressed by his effort to make a birthday celebration a relaxing, enjoyable, memorable evening for us. He checked on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal. The salad was so fresh, the creamed spinach as always was delicious. The filet and ribeye cooked perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.“

“Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. Extremely flavorful and huge portions. Could be a little greasy for some people. We ordered both burgers, both were tasty but our favorite was the sunrise burger. Fried rice with sunny side up and pork belly bao were both extremely tasty too.“

“This place is tucked away downstairs but soooo worth finding! The lobster rolls are the best I have ever had! No fillers- just lobster meat and butter on a toasted bun, side of aoli, chips and slaw for 29.99. It was a whole lobster! So good! A+++++“

“Wanted to support the local food trucks and glad we did....I had the bean chimichanga and it was big! Filled with beans and cheese...but you can definitely get meat of your choice. My friend had the steak street tacos and said they were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They definitely showed Aloha! We passed by this food truck a few times and glad we stopped to have a bite. If you are wanting Mexican food, definitely give it a try!“

“What a place! We ate downstairs…order drinks at one bar and food at another counter. We weren’t expecting much but alas, the bar service was awesome, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was simply delicious. Photos don’t do it justice but I recommend fish, salad and rice. Not fussed for the fries or potatoes but the rest was great! Think we’ll come back whilst we’re here.“

“We were recommended this GEM of a Omakaze Sushi restaurant by a family member for my Birthday. Thank you “Chancelor”Our reservation was for 5pm and for 2 hours we were served the most creative, delectable and unique sushi. It was a total of 18 courses, which included caviar, Japanese fish, Wagyu, crab, a never-ending imagination of divine combinations. My absolute favorite dish of the evening was a Uni and trout roe dish. "It was unlike anything I've ever tasted! It was incredibly scrumptious and triumphant! Ray even makes a Rose salt and his own shoyu…The Hihimanu is truly a dining experience. I got to taste food that I would never have thought to combine, and it was all appetizing. The owner and Sushi MASA “Ray” was a true master at his craft and very personable.Service was excellent, the staff was so fast and efficient. The Hihimanu is easily THE BEST SUSHI meal of my entire life. I'd have to agree with our family member that this is the best restaurant in Hawaii for Sushi.“

“My wife and I had dinner on the rooftop here for our honeymoon today. Our hostess (Allie I think?) was extremely personable, friendly, and caring. She took the extra time to talk with us and gave a 10 out of 10 experience. The cocktails, food, and drinks were also excellent. Allie (I think) needs a raise because her caliber of service is extraordinary?“

“I used it for my last dinner in Hawaii during my honeymoon from July 28th to August 3rd last year. When I entered the store, I was greeted with a smile, and when I sat down at the desk, the staff spread flowers on the desk, which made me very happy. Also, while we were eating, a senior person in a suit was on his honeymoon. ], the staff responded with a smile, and the staff said in Japanese, "Are you full?" (^^)] I was able to talk to her in a friendly manner, and it became a very good memory. It was my first time abroad, so I was really glad I came. It was a rare sight to see the final dessert set on fire, so I was really happy (;_;) I definitely want to go again, so thank you!“

“It's a Togo only poke house. Both fresh and frozen poke were delicious. The ingredients felt fresh and the portions were just right, so it was okay for 4 people to share. I felt that Foodland Poke had a lot of portions for the price, but the poke here is much better. Also, the container it was packaged in was sturdy, so it felt like a waste to throw it away after using it once. It's a shame there's no place to eat, but I submitted it and ate it at a nearby park.“

“This place was extremely busy when we showed up but the staff was working very quickly and was able to get everyone their food surprisingly fast. Quality of food is great. Pricing is pretty standard for Hawaii standards and the experience was overall quite enjoyable. I can see why they are highly rated across Polk spots in Hawaii Oahu.“

“Lovely, smiling and friendly person who kindly explained all the vegetarian options to us and two very good tasting vegan tofu bowls. One with cold tofu, sesame dressing and the other with a garlic chili hot sauce. Generous amount of tofu and rice that was topped with delicious pickled vegetables.Small no frills cafe still when a few tables to sit down and eat. We did a takeaway and ate by the tables by the marina.“

“We ate at Uncle Bo's Pupu bar in Waikiki on the second to last night of our 3 week stay, how I wish we had discovered this place sooner! The food was amazing we ordered 4 dishes off the Pupu menu which came out slowly allowing us to savour each dish, service was super friendly and for once we did not feel rushed to finish our meals and move on, which is how we often felt in the restaurants on the main Waikiki drag! Thanks Uncle Bo's we will definitely be back and will definitely tell our fellow Kiwis about your fab restaurant. Much aroha.“

“I ate dinner here two nights is a row, several weeks ago, and everything about both meals was just excellent! The service was great, Paolo, whom I had both nights, recommended a wonderful wine I'd never had before, Amarone della Valpolicella. It was so good, I searched out a bottle when I got back on the mainland! Both dinners were excellent, and I can't recommend the Cacio e Pepe enough, just wonderful!I highly recommend stopping by for dinner, and I am looking forward to eating here again when I return to the resort next year!“

“I’ll start by saying I have not had the gold standard of Maine lobster rolls. But I grew up in the PNW eating fresh shell fish of all kinds. This buttered lobster roll was delicious. It had a heaping amount of juicy lobster. The bun was toasted and held up well against the amount of butter. Wasn’t soggy. (I’d eat it right away though… might not be fabulous for take out.)You order at the inside window and then pick up and eat at the picnic tables on the patio. You can see it when you first turn into ward center. Right next to Rodger Dunn golf store. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. The staff was happy and friendly. After I finished eating, one of the girls asked how everything was and was genuinely happy to see that we enjoyed it.Worth the $20 for the roll. Especially considering this is Honolulu and the amount of lobster that was included.Parking: 3 levels of parking at ward center. It’s tight. But it’s free. Never have I not found a spot, even when busy.“

“Amazing experience! The food and the service was on point! To drink I had the pink Cadillac which tastes great! We started with a wedge salad, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail and the fried rice. Our entrees were the lobster pan roast, prime rib petite filet with taro dinner rolls. We ended the meal with the taro bread pudding and ice cream which paired well together. So I highly recommend getting the 2. All in all 5 ⭐️ meal!“

“This food truck is in a little food truck corner on the busy Kuhio Ave, but it's a pretty cute and clean place with seating (most tables don't have shade). I came here last time I was in Honolulu and came back again for lunch. We ordered the miso butterfish which I remembered being so good last time and it was still amazing. So tender and flavorful, really hits the spot. The wait is a bit longer than expected for a food truck (same thing happened to me last time), so maybe don't come if you're in a rush. A bit on the pricy side but also it's in the middle of touristy Waikiki. Other than that, highly recommend!“

“When I tell you this is one of the best poke bowls I have ever had on the island... geez the fish tasted so fresh and so soooft. I usually prefer ahi when getting any poke but wanted to try the king salmon and it's 1.50 extra but so worth It! They have many toppings that are included but some that are extra such as the crab salad & seaweed salad (which I got). They had uni but opted out this time because I wanted to appreciate the poke more but maybe next time! They say it's flown from Japan But all in all 10/10 Run don't walk!“

“I was looking for "good cake noodle place" for Aunty's BD family party (food theme was Chinese) and on the Yelp, I typed "best cake noodle", then this place hit! Located at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza face to River St. This place is very cozy restaurant but the lady is very friendly and nice. We felt we were very welcomed. We did phone order, ~2 House Special Cake Noodles (gravy on side), 1 Sauted Garlic Ong Choy, and 1 Sauted Choy Dum- and we were told in 15-20minutes to ready. (The party size was small) House Special Cake Noodle has Choy Sum, Shrimp, fish cake, and sliced meat in a gravy, the noodles are fresh fried and after poor the gravy, the texture became soft and tasty. Sauted Garlic Ong Choy and Sauted Choy Sum were both good!!! I love this place and would like to try different menu next time! Anyway, we parked at the Chinatown Cultual Plaza parking, no validation but still cheeper than other parking. (In 30min is free 31min to 1 Hour is $1, after that $1 each additional per hour. If you just order for to go, I recommend to avoid exactly lunch time, it was easy to find the parking spot.“

“We went early to enjoy happy hour prior to dinner. We had a delightful cocktail and Poke snack at the bar. The cocktails were well crafted and tasty and the Poke was exceptional. We seated for dinner and had a shared meal. We had a fois gras mouse appetizer that was truly exceptional. We ordered the evenings special of a Tonkatsued pork chop and a couple of sides. The pork was well fried but a bit under seasoned. It came with a small side of pineapple mustard the helped the flavor and made the dish much more than just acceptable. Service was prompt and warm. All in all a very enjoyable ecvening“

“I thought $18 for a plate of shrimp curry was a little expensive until I ate it and realized they could raise the price to $25 and I would buy it again! It's was worth every penny. “Always a creative menu accompanied by attentive service. We sat outside on what turned out to be a windy Friday night. More annoying was the Mariachi band playing loudly at the taco place across the street (drowned out the pleasant music at Merriman's). We'll eat inside next time. My wife's Makai special (Kauai lobster) was superb. My peppercorn steak frite was almost impossible to cut. Sharper knives are needed! “It's a restaurant and bar located in Ala Moana Center. It's a little difficult to find as it takes a special elevator from the second floor, but there is a parking lot and easy access. It's open in the evening, so it's not crowded in the early hours, but it's so popular that it's nearly full for dinner after 6pm. All of the meals are delicious, but I especially recommend the dessert sundae and hot chocolate cake. The service is attentive, and no matter how many times I return, I am always satisfied. This restaurant is located in Ala Moana, but reservations are required, and you must be careful as Japanese is not spoken at all.“

“Probably the best poke in terms of the fish itself. It's not as flavorful as one of the other poke places I visited, but this place definitely has a freshest and tastiest fish in Hawaii for poke. I saw the reviews on yelp were amazing for this place and I wasn't sure about visiting because it looked super rundown. But I'm super glad I came to visit. The fish were super good and It's prepared quickly for you. This is definitely a hole in the wall type of spot. I would definitely not have found it just drop by and I honestly am not sure if I would've visit after just seeing how it looks on the outside. Overall it was good.Vegetarian options: Veg samosa, pakora, clearly labeled veg curriesParking: Alii parking space nearby. 75 cents for 30 mins and then $1.5 for every 30 mins.
