“This is the first time in a very long time I’ve had exceptional service at this subway. The staff was friendly, my sandwich looks great, and they just all around looked like they loved their jobs which is so refreshing to see at this location. The man making my sandwich was dancing and singing and just made the environment friendlier than I’ve ever experienced. Not sure if it’s helpful, but one man was bald and one had locs, they both were very friendly. This experience gave me hope in this location again :)“

“Has been a family staple for so long. Being age 10 and Max knew exactly what I wanted. I don't get on this side of town much often anymore but I'm going to. the new owners are 💯 amazing and it was amazing seeing my "Deli Mom" she was busy like normal so I didn't bother her .“

“A little off our path from the highway but the service and food well worth it. Your typical deli fair but the secret is in the sauce. That's right their house made dressing was a big difference and left a nice sweet tang to the sandwich. Definitely recommend it if you're in a hurry and want something to fill you up.

“McAlister's is basically where you can go if you want Panera but don't want to eat Panera again. They have a ton of options for soup, sandwich, and salad, and they have a "Pick 2" deal as well. The soups all taste good, but it's like they take a normal hearty soup and send it through an industrial puree machine to make it smooth and dull. That makes the chili especially sad-looking. That said, very easy to get full on 5-700 calories and reasonable sodium levels (for fast food, anyway).“

“I ate lunch here on St. Paddy's Day, 2025. I had never been here before but I will definitely be back. First of all, they have Coke products, which is great for Diet Coke addicts like me, and I got a huge soda with FREE REFILLS. They even came to my table and got it for me. I ordered the "Choose 2" and got a club sandwich and loaded potato. Both were so delicious. Great meal. Delicious salted caramel chocolate cookie. Everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend!!

Parking: There is a side door and we got a spot right by it. Super easy access for my friend who uses a walker.“

“This is by far the best Subway in the Des Moines metro. I often leave Subways disappointed I went in the first place, wishing I could have just made my sandwich myself as they're sloppily thrown together and zero customer service accompanies them, but not here. Every staff member I have encountered has been so friendly, always greeting me right when I walk in. In particular, the gentleman that has glasses is the absolute best. I always prefer him to make my sandwich because he does such a good job!! The place is always so clean as well, which isn't common for most Subways. The customer service and atmosphere has left me feeling so happy and satisfied on multiple occasions, I thought it time to leave a positive review. Great job!!“

“This is my family’s go-to spot for banh mi. As others have mentioned, 1 type of banh mi, and it is the cold cut - very delicious and affordable at $4.75 each (doesn’t get much cheaper or tastier than this, folks)! In fact, I’d go as far to say it is the best in Iowa! At someone’s house, service is very friendly, cash only, call ahead to place your order, especially if you are ordering many. Highly recommended!

Parking: Mid sized driveway and backing out onto the street can be a bit tricky with traffic“

I am extremely disappointed they have changed the service model to make you order all the toppings at the register and cannot see the toppings. For example, I usually only get the spinach if it looks fresh. And I skip items when they have other things in them, like cheese in the pepper container and so on.“

“I went here for a light dinner since most of my first options were closed.I’m going to guess it was just the end of the day but the drink machine needed some cleaning. The floors near some tables near the walls weren’t much better.Fortunately, the sandwich I got - the Turkey Bacon Ranch - tasted good. They also have more soup options and items available then offered for me to recommend I highly recommend there salads, sandwiches, and soups.

“The food was made at the promised time for an online pickup order. The food was delicious and the prices seemed reasonable for what you get. The subs were a little messy. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I could smell sewage. This was a definite turn off and I can see why no one was eating inside.“

“The staff at Jersey Mikes on Fleur in Des Moines is top notch. We eat there at least once per week for work, and even if they are slammed they get me in and out quick! Ive never had any problems with our orders, which we bring in on a sheet of paper and just hand to them-- so awesome! The staff always chat with me about random daily topics, and prepare the sandwiches perfectly! They are fast and efficient, and keep the counters super clan and tidy. We will continue coming back to this location, they have won our business for a LONG TIME!“

“There was a sign for where you could order your meals but it wasn’t very visible so we had gotten in line for adding the ingredients and making the sandwiches (which we thought was the start of the line) but then had to go back to the front to order. Very crowded don’t recommend going during the weekend especially lunch hours. Their internet was down so they could only do charges up to 25 dollars one at a time. The kimchi Philly was delicious. The associate who made our sandwiches and took payment was helpful and efficient“

Vegetarian options: They got any choice which you can reject the meats on some, highly love but but they also have all mixs so I'd say to try this!

“I've been frequenting this Subway more often these days. This is one of my Go-To Subways.
I have tried Subways at quite a few places in Des Moines.
And, I can say - by far - this is the bets of the lot - both in terms of service and quality of food.

The staff is amazing. All of them do a wonderful job.
Rohin (or Arun) - He has been the one who takes care of my order most of the times. Very nice person, humble, with a great attitude, great listener and customer focused.
Jen - She is an amazing woman. Pleasant attitude, very attentive.
Rocky - He is another wonderful staff. Great service and nice friendly attitude.

Being a vegetarian, my options are limited. But, the staff makes sure that their hands are clean and washed and they take proper care of my dietary needs.

And, Rajesh - he is the owner and manages this outlet quite well.

The interior is clean all the time. The Bread and cookies are always fresh.

“Wanted to wait until I visited this new location at least four times before giving an honest review. Well, after four visits are not completed, I will say that the staff and owner of this place are doing things the right way! I used to be a subway and Jimmy Johns customer, but after visiting this location multiple times, I am now a Jersey Mike's customer. The owner is really outgoing and easy to talk to, making things more relaxing once the order is being processed. The staff that prepares the food are friendly also, and they aim to please as much as possible (within reason). The sandwiches are built with care, not sloppily put together like other establishments I have visited. The facility is clean, and safety making the sandwiches is always practiced. They are also very efficient getting the order processed in a timely manner. For the near future, this will be my "To-go" place for fast food. Thank you!“

One of the girls accidentally stabbed her self while cutting my bread open, I was so worried but she ended up being okay and made each sandwich with love! “Great Subway location!! It has charging stations, the facility is clean. The employee's are friendly. The reason for not a 5 star is upon request for a plastic knife to cut up my tomatoes I was informed they had none. Then I requested a knife so I could do it myself they said they couldn't let me use a knife (which I totally understand) then I asked if they could just cut it for me. I had not opened the salad or anything yet. I was told they don't do chopped salads anymore. Ok cool lol. So moral of the story if you want your tomatoes cut up on your salad ask while they are preparing your food. I would like to re-itterate no employee was rude or disrespectful. Very pleasant staff!“
