“This is the first time in a very long time I’ve had exceptional service at this subway. The staff was friendly, my sandwich looks great, and they just all around looked like they loved their jobs which is so refreshing to see at this location. The man making my sandwich was dancing and singing and just made the environment friendlier than I’ve ever experienced. Not sure if it’s helpful, but one man was bald and one had locs, they both were very friendly. This experience gave me hope in this location again :)“

“A little off our path from the highway but the service and food well worth it. Your typical deli fair but the secret is in the sauce. That's right their house made dressing was a big difference and left a nice sweet tang to the sandwich. Definitely recommend it if you're in a hurry and want something to fill you up.

“It’s hard to find good bánh mì in Iowa, but this place nails it. The bread is fresh and perfectly crusty, the fillings are flavorful and authentic, and every bite tastes like the real deal. I am extremely disappointed they have changed the service model to make you order all the toppings at the register and cannot see the toppings. For example, I usually only get the spinach if it looks fresh. And I skip items when they have other things in them, like cheese in the pepper container and so on.“

“I went here for a light dinner since most of my first options were closed.I’m going to guess it was just the end of the day but the drink machine needed some cleaning. The floors near some tables near the walls weren’t much better.Fortunately, the sandwich I got - the Turkey Bacon Ranch - tasted good. The pickle spear was pretty crisp and not dripping with brine (I’m thankful for that).Overall, this Firehouse Subs did a good job on food but I hope they can improve their cleanliness.“

“This place was absolutely a wonderful experience. You are greeted right away, the atmosphere is friendly and happy sincerely, the food is absolutely comforting and delicious, there signature item is there lemonade ?. They also have more soup options and items available then offered for me to recommend I highly recommend there salads, sandwiches, and soups.

Dietary restrictions: They're willing to make customizations to items for you.

“The staff at Jersey Mikes on Fleur in Des Moines is top notch. We eat there at least once per week for work, and even if they are slammed they get me in and out quick! Ive never had any problems with our orders, which we bring in on a sheet of paper and just hand to them-- so awesome! The staff always chat with me about random daily topics, and prepare the sandwiches perfectly! They are fast and efficient, and keep the counters super clan and tidy. We will continue coming back to this location, they have won our business for a LONG TIME!“

“There was a sign for where you could order your meals but it wasn’t very visible so we had gotten in line for adding the ingredients and making the sandwiches (which we thought was the start of the line) but then had to go back to the front to order. Very crowded don’t recommend going during the weekend especially lunch hours. Their internet was down so they could only do charges up to 25 dollars one at a time. The kimchi Philly was delicious. The associate who made our sandwiches and took payment was helpful and efficient“

“Food good, staff is nice not too much lines, highly say with there fast workers it's good food to go or stay, love how they make my sandwich which I can include onions yum!

Vegetarian options: They got any choice which you can reject the meats on some, highly love but but they also have all mixs so I'd say to try this!

Kid-friendliness: Very much loved the space, and plenty of room for kids to roam and to keep eyes on, very warm on cold days and very cool on hot, I say go for it!

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes plenty of room and very much safe for use, though the doors are nit the staff will often help and the smiles show such human passion!“

“I've been frequenting this Subway more often these days. This is one of my Go-To Subways.
I have tried Subways at quite a few places in Des Moines.
And, I can say - by far - this is the bets of the lot - both in terms of service and quality of food.

The staff is amazing. All of them do a wonderful job.
Rohin (or Arun) - He has been the one who takes care of my order most of the times. Very nice person, humble, with a great attitude, great listener and customer focused.
Jen - She is an amazing woman. Pleasant attitude, very attentive.
Rocky - He is another wonderful staff. Great service and nice friendly attitude.

Being a vegetarian, my options are limited. But, the staff makes sure that their hands are clean and washed and they take proper care of my dietary needs.

And, Rajesh - he is the owner and manages this outlet quite well.

“Wanted to wait until I visited this new location at least four times before giving an honest review. Well, after four visits are not completed, I will say that the staff and owner of this place are doing things the right way! I used to be a subway and Jimmy Johns customer, but after visiting this location multiple times, I am now a Jersey Mike's customer. The owner is really outgoing and easy to talk to, making things more relaxing once the order is being processed. The staff that prepares the food are friendly also, and they aim to please as much as possible (within reason). The sandwiches are built with care, not sloppily put together like other establishments I have visited. The facility is clean, and safety making the sandwiches is always practiced. “First time at this location and it was easily the best Subway I've visited in over 10 years. Bread was soft and fresh, the sandwich was put together correctly and not falling apart.
