“This place has definitely changed over the last 20+ yrs. The night shift cook has watched me grow from a young adult into a family man. It's a place that is very dear to my heart. The only thing that would have made this last experience 5 star experience for me personally. I missed the old night shift crew to enjoy my meal with old familiar faces and catching up with them. Otherwise, this place still got it even with the new cooks and unfamiliar daytime crew. They are all 5 stars!“

“We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here and it did not disappoint! Lobster cargot could’ve been a meal by itself!! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Teriyaki green beans were also a favorite of ours along with the Mac n cheese. You have w to get dessert! We had the chocolate ganache cake and strawberry sundae. Jeff our server was amazing ! The view couldn’t have been better.“

We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection!
We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge!
The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers.
A perfect spot for a special celebration....we loved every moment!“

Even for my wife, who is vegetarian, joining me in a steakhouse, Abdullah put together an appetizer and then spagetthi bolognese, which were served ,al-dente‘ like in a great restaurant in Italy. So, happy wife, happy carnivore🤣 We will be back when in Chicago again.“

“10s 10s 10s!!!!!!! I’m a big fan of Diego so I wanted to check out this new addition to the network. Trino had some BIG shoes to fill replacing KŌMO, and they did not disappoint. Every item I consumed was rich and *bursting* with flavor.

The lamb empanada might rival El Che for best I’ve tried in Chicago. $9 is steep but… oooh the way it tasted changed my brain chemistry. 30/10. The Wagyu steak sandwich was unnnnnnbelievable. Zero notes. 50/10. The mac and cheese was thick and really sat down in my tummy. I did not finish it or the sandwich and packed a decent portion for lunch the next day. The patio verde and wine were also quite good. Overall a solid happy hour and the staff are very personable. I felt like I was eating with friends. Heather and Jordan made me feel so welcome. “We ate lunch at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago today. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the hostess helped us with our parking situation. Our server was friendly and quick. “I am so happy that they kept the classic feel of the original Tavern on Rush. The menu is similar, the vibe is a bit more modern and upscale, but you know you are at Tavern on Rush and the quality of the steaks is absolutely outstanding! Two of us had the bone in filet - simply amazing! The sides were tasty and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The wedge salad wasn't great, but the rest was and they still have a terrific wine list. Our service was off the other night. We had a very vigorous waiter who kept pushing to get our order and could tell that we hadn't looked at anything yet. This was a business dinner, the president of my husband's company was in town and wanted us to take her to a classic Chicago steak house. We did order oysters and wine to start. When he came for our dinner order there was no presentation of the steaks, no description of the menu and we just felt rushed all the way through to the point that he "assumed" that we did not want desert. Now, in his defense, we were there a long time as it was a business dinner, and at one point he did say he was trying to get our order in before a huge table next to us ordered, which was appreciated. I don't want to cloud this review with a service complaint as the food, wine and ambiance were excellent and we had a great table by the window, which was nice.“

We also had the Korean lunch tray - a sampling of skirt steak, soup, kimchi and other fermented vegetables with varying tastes — all delicious. To end the meal, the owner gave us a complimentary bowl of the most delicious chocolate gelato- the cocoa taste and texture were better than any gelato I had in Italy— go figure??
