“This place has definitely changed over the last 20+ yrs. The night shift cook has watched me grow from a young adult into a family man. It's a place that is very dear to my heart. The only thing that would have made this last experience 5 star experience for me personally. I missed the old night shift crew to enjoy my meal with old familiar faces and catching up with them. Otherwise, this place still got it even with the new cooks and unfamiliar daytime crew. They are all 5 stars!“

“We celebrated our 30th Anniversary here and it did not disappoint! Lobster cargot could’ve been a meal by itself!! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. Teriyaki green beans were also a favorite of ours along with the Mac n cheese. You have w to get dessert! We had the chocolate ganache cake and strawberry sundae. Jeff our server was amazing ! The view couldn’t have been better.“

We were warmly welcomed on our Anniversary for dinner and had the most amazing experience! Our waiter Carlos was superb and made sure every aspect of our meal was perfection!
We had a preset menu with some of the best of those items we have ever experienced! The dinner rolls were light and dangerously delicious, the lobster bisque was the best lobster anything we've ever had, the wedge salad had the most amazing dressing (and I don't even like blue cheese!), the steaks were cooked beautifully, and our dessert put us over the edge!
The servings were generous, nobody could eat it all...wish we could've taken home leftovers.

Her name was Olivia, and from the moment of our arrival she was engaging and attentive - highly professional and just very charming. “This place is so cute. The ambiance is chill and sexy for a date or cool to have a girl's night out like I did. Even the neighborhood was really cute. The drinks were very delicious and refreshing. We ordered the shareable ribeye, mashed potatoes, broccolini and mac n cheese. Everything was great! Our server was amazing and just attentive enough without over checking on us. He was very good. “I was staying nearby and had promised myself a good steak dinner as a treat. The whole 3-day 2-night stay downtown (Streeterville) was a treat to myself. I felt really lucky that such a well regarded steak house was so close. I ordered the Crab Salad appetizer which was very tasty. The petit filet was very good. The addition - peppered butter? - was not worth the (small) up-charge, but the baked potato side I ordered was very good. What can I say, I'm a meat and potatoes kind of gal. =) I ordered tiramisu as a dessert, which was very good. I ended up with about 1/2 of the filet, 1/2 of the potato and 3/4 of the tiramisu packed up for me to take "home" with me. (I checked that there was a refrigerator in my room before I made my reservation for dinner.) My waitress was the only real downside to the evening. She was fine with the main menu and helped be select a glass of wine but when it came to the evening's specials she gave me a description of the crab salad that sounded good, but turned out to not be what was on the menu that evening. That can be excused. What made me unhappy was the fact that she didn't stop by my table, or even look my direction, after checking in right after my food was delivered. It was a Wednesday night and the restaurant was steady but not busy. She did manage to chat for extended periods of time with a couple at a table directly across from me and could have, should have, checked in with me. I even moved my plates to the side and a bit forward across the table and pulled my book directly in front of me - all signals that I had completed my meal. Not even these actions caught her attention for maybe another 10 minutes. I ordered dessert and then had all of my leftovers packed up. The meal was tasty but expensive for my pocket - I don't believe that I have every splurged on a meal like I did this one. The leftovers still tasted fantastic two nights later, when I actually was at home. So, high marks with a high bill, very tasty!“

“Had dinner with friends on Fri, 6-17. None of us had been there for years...we weren't impressed. One of us ordered the T bone which was not a complete steak. Part of the filet had been cut away. The baked potatoes weren't cooked through. The cocktail sauce for my scallops had no horseradish in it and tasted like fancy catsup. The tartar sauce had no flavor. Although our drinks were good the food wasn't worth the price. Pretty sure we won't be back. Very disappointed.“
