“This place has definitely changed over the last 20+ yrs. The night shift cook has watched me grow from a young adult into a family man. It's a place that is very dear to my heart. The only thing that would have made this last experience 5 star experience for me personally. I missed the old night shift crew to enjoy my meal with old familiar faces and catching up with them. Otherwise, this place still got it even with the new cooks and unfamiliar daytime crew. They are all 5 stars!“

“I've eaten at a lot of Capital Grille's across the US, last night in Chicago was the BEST server I've encountered. Her name was Olivia, and from the moment of our arrival she was engaging and attentive - highly professional and just very charming. On our way out I mentioned this to the restaurant's operation manager Adam Margolies, who himself was hustling around all night in the front of the house taking care of guests . “We visited this place on a whim on Sweetest Day. We had to pivot from our original plan, called at the last minute and was able to take the 9:15p slot. We had to wait for our table so we ordered drinks at the bar. My mule was good and my date enjoyed her wine. For my entree, I ordered the Roasted chicken served of spinach and mash potatoes. The chicken could have used more seasoning, but overall it was good. My dates entree was the Spicy Chicken sandwich, she said it was good, but it really wasn’t spicy. The sides dishes we ordered are Creamed Spinach and Mac & cheese. We disliked both dishes. The Mac & Cheese needs way more cheese. I received complimentary dessert because we were there celebrating my birthday too. The carrot cake was ??? and the vanilla bean ice cream was good too.“

This is my #1 steakhouse I have visited in the world…I have been to 30 plus states, 15 countries and nothing has come close to this experience.“

“Had a great experience celebrating my anniversary. B&B nailed the atmosphere of a modern speakeasy steakhouse. Cesar, our waiter, was wonderful. The Charred Octopus and Crudo was amazing. I typically like my steaks bleu, that said, the chefs's choice on cooking the Wagyu Board was on point.

“We ate lunch at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Chicago today. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the hostess helped us with our parking situation. Our server was friendly and quick. Our food was delicious! After our meal the valet parking department went out of their way to help us and we were so appreciative. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend eating here!“

“We enjoyed celebrating a special occasion at Tavern on Rush on a recent Saturday night. The re-opening on Rush Street was worth waiting for. The 2 level space is beautifully designed, with various seating areas according to your preferences of wanting to be at the windows or bar at ground level to catch all the action along Rush Street, or upstairs in the spacious main dining room and the adjoining smaller, less energetic room. Our server, Jason, was exceptional. He was attentive, very personable, never without a smile. Having ice water refilled constantly is a detail often overlooked elsewhere but not at Tavern. Kitchen service is timed perfectly not to feel rushed nor waiting endlessly for the entrees. We started with the special app of grilled octopus which was deliciously seasoned with a wedge of lemon alongside for a light drizzle. My partner had the sirloin strip steak, ordered medium rare and served exactly that way; I can never refuse grilled salmon especially when over a sweet butternut squash puree and that too, was served charred rare and was moist and silky. I appreciate another reviewer mentioning the grilled Mexican street corn as a side and it was so delicious we fought for the last spoonful. A massive slice of birthday cake, sprinkles and all, served with a candle was the perfect ending. A high energy vibe does mean higher noise level which was not a concern for 2 of us sitting across from each other. Overall a wonderful evening that we look forward to repeating many times in the coming summer months, especially with the outdoor seating.“

“Had dinner with friends on Fri, 6-17. None of us had been there for years...we weren't impressed. One of us ordered the T bone which was not a complete steak. Part of the filet had been cut away. The baked potatoes weren't cooked through. The cocktail sauce for my scallops had no horseradish in it and tasted like fancy catsup. The tartar sauce had no flavor. Although our drinks were good the food wasn't worth the price. Pretty sure we won't be back. Very disappointed.“
