“This is my favorite place if I have a desire for something sweet! I love quality and for almost 20 years of using this place, I have never been disappointed. I understand this place is not cheap but let’s be honest for quality expect to pay a little bit more and im ok with that. Polish bakery is the best in my area.

P.S. After reading some reviews with 1 star with some short explanation and no pictures whatsoever from the profile how has only 1 review - its very simple for me this is nothing more like destroying the reputation of this location! It work same how giving 5 stars without out picture or explanation. Be careful how you trust.“

“SBK is everything… the pastries and cookies are so delicious, always a decadent treat. The savory sandwiches, so flavorful with house made sauces in the mix. Weekends start off right with an SBK pizza on a Friday night. I’ve been coming here for years. During Covid, SBK became my local grocery store. One of my favorite establishments in Chicago, I will always be a fan.“

When my package arrived it was not in perfect condition....having traveled through a snow storm and a holiday weekend...it was disappointing..(FedEx, not them) I called them to say hello and alert them to my sadness....They not only replaced the promo box, but added extra goodies and shipped it overnight with a sweet message from the owner. 👍😍 First Class all the way...And, AMAZING sweets! “I've been coming to Bang Bang Pies for about 12 years! It's one of my favorite places to talk about and visit when I come through Chicago. It has evolved over time, but thankfully has maintained its delicious staples: homemade biscuits, butter, jam, and cheese grits.

It’s a great stop, especially for bringing out-of-town visitors. The menu is simple, the prices are reasonable, and there's always friendly service. There’s seating inside and a nice courtyard with seating outside.

And their pies are the best I've had in the city. Order early for those!“

The vibes are cozy grab‑and‑go, staff are super friendly, and you can tell it’s made with love. Had peeps on the ‘gram talking it up, and damn—they weren’t lying. Can’t wait to swing by again!“

“OMG WOW! Amazing bakery! I go to tons of bakeries & I think this is the best one in Oak Park & one of the best in Chicagoland! I LOVED everything I tried from the cookies, to muffins to scones. Super high quality & extremely fresh products. Some of the pastries were still warm from the oven as I got there right at 8 am when they open. Even then, there was a little line out the door. Many people got coffee drinks but I didn’t this time. They also have $2 wonky cookies (just weirdly shaped cookies) that are a great deal. I tried: chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, vegan chocolate muffin (extra delish), goat cheese chili scone (excellent) & the wonky birthday cookie (amazing & buttery - melts in your mouth). Can’t wait to go back & try other things! Please note the place is tiny with only a few tables & chairs & there’s metered street parking so I took my order to go.

10.25.24 update: the kale salad done is truly amazing! The toasted coconut cake was sooo good and the chiffon cake was delightful. The savory corn biscuit was good but I preferred the scone, which is totally worth traveling for.“

The flavors are always incredible, and the cakes add an extra layer of deliciousness to their already amazing selection. Every time I visit, the service is quick and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is the parking, which can be a bit of a challenge since the location is on a main road. But despite that, I always find a way to stop by because the cookies and cakes are worth it!"“

“Oshawn & Larry went above and beyond at my recent visit to Auntie Anne's! The pretzel hot bogs weren't available yet because of how early it was (they are my FAVORITE) so I was kinda bummed out but they were able to move efficiently and get them out to me in 10 minutes! “We’re huge fans of The Bear, which steered us here on our Chicago trip - so glad we found this place! We loved the mushroom adobo and longnanisa breakfast sandwich! The mango tarts were amazing, as were our lattes. We left with an apple hand pie to eat the following morning, which was still had perfectly crispy pastry. Definitely worth the hour wait to get in.“

“North Shore Bakery Rocks!! I have been going to this amazing Bakery since High School and let me tell you..... I love the bagels, challah bread, and cinnamon coffee cake. “So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

“I love this bakery! I first came on the Flavors of Albany Park tour and have returned since for wonderful baked goods. The owners are so friendly and generous. I got the peanut cream pastry, red bean cream bun, and a green tea cake. They gave me a corn cake to try as well which was so kind! Everything they make is light, perfectly sweet, and so good.

“I drove up north from Andersonville after hearing great reviews about New York Bagel & Bialy fresh baked bagels, and was not disappointed. We went Saturday morning, around 10am. There was a line out the door, but it moved at a reasonable pace without anyone rushing around. It probably took no more than 10 minutes to order, and another 5-10 minutes to get our New York Breakfast sandwich and bagel/spread.
