“From the minute we walked in everything was wonderful. Our server was friendly and beyond accommodating. As was the chef when we requested a dish not on the menu. The food was exceptional. The best Chinese food we’ve ever had in the suburbs. Definitely compares to Chinatown.“

The bathrooms needed to be cleaned. Garbage cans were overflowing. We enjoy the food but they need to pay attention to detail.“

“After going the first time I knew I'd be coming back. The staff is so kind and the service is remarkably quick. The food is unbelievably delicious. Favorites of ours are the soup dumplings, the green beans, and the scallion pancakes. We've also gotten the beef dumplings, fried rice, orange chicken, combo chow mein, crab rangoons, and pork buns - all of which were great. The dan dan noodles fell a little flat for us. I really liked the stir fried pancake but it's not for everyone. Both times I've gone with a small group (4-6 people) and it took a little time to get seated (<20 mins) but it was the dinner rush and their dining space is admittedly on the smaller side - maybe 6 tables with 20-25 seats total? Overall my friends and I love this place and will definitely be coming back again and again!“

“This is my fav Chinese food spot around town. Their tofu is cooked well and everything always tastes great. Service is pretty quick too. I think most people order takeout but dining in is pretty chill too. Also, their prices are pretty reasonable. A lot of food that I usually end up taking home.“

We ordered KUNG BAO DELIGHT, and it was very tasty, and the portion was very large.
We also ordered COMBINATION FRIED RICE, and it tasted great, but I asked to make spicy, and they didn't prepare it properly.
We also ordered EGG ROLLS, and they were delicious and a good size, but the CRAB RAGOONS were good, but a little over-fried.

“I find some of the low reviews here baffling. I think some people may be confusing this restaurant with other Chinese restaurants due to its rather non descript name. Make no mistake, the food here is excellent and punches way above its price point.Coming in the first time I was pessimistic. It seemed your standard pre prepared food menu ready to dish out quickly to the lunch crowd panda express style. I quickly became a huge fan after eating large well prepared portions I would expect from a normal sit down restaurant. “Moon Temple has been our family's go to for decades. Up until recently it was my number #1 pick for all things Chinese. Unfortunately, since the change in management we feel it's lost it's edge. The slight changes in recipes/prep is noticeable, especially in the egg rolls, egg foo young, and Singapore rice noodles. I'm all about progress but they were so tried and true.

Don't get me wrong, Moon Temple is still better that most resturants out there but it's sadly lost it's edge over some of it's competitors. In time, I hope they revert back to the things that set them apart.“

“Stopped here after a long day at the hospital and it was just what we needed. We we re e seated right away, the inside was authentic and very classic Chicago Chinese hole in the wall. If youre from Chicago, you know this is a good sign. The server came ans took our order right away, they didnt talk much but again, that doesn't matter when the food is good.

We ordered the Crab Rangoons, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and Egg Foo Young. The Ragoons came out hot ans fresh, the Sweet ans Sour Chicken was cooked perfectly and the fried rice with it was also delicious. The Beef and Broccoli was a little too sweet but still good and the Egg Foo Young was also cooked pretty good, a little burnt but still good. And the side off Egg rolls and egg drop soups were so simple and yet so delicious.

“We just dined in the renovated Hunan Inn and loved it. We’ve been getting takeout from here for 20 years and have dined in many times, and were curious what the newly reopened restaurant would be like. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised - we got a few of the same dishes we’ve ordered for years, as well as a couple new ones to test it out. The quality of the meat and seafood is on another level now; the batter on the chicken is fresh and crispy; giant, meaty shrimp made the fried rice even better; and the Mongolian beef was tender (not spongy or fatty) and the sauce was caramelized perfectly. The crab Rangoon were lighter and had a noticeably more authentic crab flavor, and were delighted that our favorite egg rolls seem to have stayed exactly the same! We also tried the new mango sago snow ice which we will definitely get again — a really light and not too seeet way to finish the meal. Overall couldn’t be happier with the new and improved Hunan Inn.“

“This is my favorite Chinese food in the area due to the portion sizes and flavor. I usually order orange chicken, general taos chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. All very good. It is located in a strip mall so easy access in and out. They will deliver to GE and Lombard for sure. Not sure of other areas but worth asking. The delivery driver is always very nice. The location has 2-3 small tables so it is mostly for takeout. Last time I called in and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Highly recommend.“

Use to go to N-Joy, it closed permanently! Wok N Roll does fill their shoes & more! Their Wings are even better! Egg Foo Young too! Their veggies are so fresh, exceptionally nice, Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon also very good.. They're clean, very helpful / friendly, fast service...

Only two dings is 1) why the $1.00 convenience fee 2) use less sodium in the egg foo young. Will definitely be back but get rid of the annoying convenience fee.“

“Wifey & I were having a couple brews down the road with friends when they’d mentioned they ate Chinese the night before so I got a craving for it! The closest Chinese restaurant was Jade Garden so I placed an order for chicken fried rice, Kung pao chicken, veggie lo mein, & 2 egg rolls. The order came with a side of white rice too. It was sooo much food; I had 2 plates worth to get my fill while my wife had 1. The next 2 days I ate leftovers for breakfast; I also passed along some food for my mom to try when I went to visit her. There was still enough remaining after all that for my wife to have a hearty lunch! Including tax it was $39ish which I felt was reasonable considering the sheer amount of food we received. Would very happily order from here again!“

“In this food court Liang’s Chinese Cafe had the longest wait line by Asians and it was worth tasting authentic Chinese food. Their noodles were popular. “The owner, I believe his name is Michael, is young but VERY sharp and most importantly, he is respectful and kind. This is important in any service industry and many people much older than Michael lack being respectful and could learn a thing or two from this young man. The food is excellent. Egg Rolls were very fresh and tasty. Crab Rangoon were also fresh and very good as well. I ordered Mongolian Beef, and it was plentiful and tender. The white rice was not clumpy, well cooked, and delicious. My wife ordered shrimp fried rice and it was also delicious. Again, everything was excellent. The place is very unassuming, somewhat small, but the service was impeccable and so was the food. I hope and pray that the owner never loses his charm. Today's young generation in this country are frankly not respectful and many lack intelligence. The owner of Overseas Chinese Restaurant is way beyond his years, and he makes the restaurant worth visiting on top of having very good food.

“I love noodles. I have ordered every pan fried, steamed, chow fun, mei fun, lo mein from just about every Chinese place in the DG, westmont, Woodridge, Willowbrook, Darien area. The common denominator for most of the places is how they love dumping a ton of onions in the dish with some noodles, a little bit of meat and a scant amount of other veggies. I spend more time picking the creepy little (sometimes not so little) chunks of the filler out than actually eating my precious noodles. Darien Chop Suey gives me none of the little buggers! I always order the pad see eiw and not only are there piles of glorious noodles, but they never skimp on the meat or veggies! Beautiful broccoli and mushrooms and not an onion in sight! It's so yummy. The hubs loves the sesame chicken. The egg rolls are plump and the egg drop soup is divine. Plus, they are the most affordable place in the area! Dang when did Chinese food get so expensive? Very reasonable here though. Super nice on the phone and we've ordered like a dozen times and it's always ready in twenty minutes or so. This is my favorite Chinese place. Darien Chop Suey, more like Darien Chop Yummy fo rizz!!!!“
