“My Fraternity Brother Anthony Williams and partner Byron Diggs when not bringing great joy as a part of the Our Lady of Our Lady of Africa Parish, Chicago Eucharistic Ensemble have a great Cafe in Maywood right off of I 290. It is called Meal of the Day and has some great southern cuisine in an establishment on the 4th floor of a business complex overlooking I 290. It is appointed with some great art from notable black artists . There is also a banner from Hales Franciscan Class of 1979 , not sure what that’ s all about .. lol! They also do on site catering and have fed the masses after masses at their home church . Check them out ! My fraternity brother has been telling me for years to make the drive and wifey and I finally did and it was so worth it ! .“

Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. “Food was good but the service was wonderful. Sarafina who helped us was awesome, we had a number of kids with us who have GF allergies and she was so accommodating. We ordered multiple meals at different times based on when some kids came and gone back to the mall but Sarafina did not skip a beat, she was on it the whole time. Keep in mind they were very busy as it was a Saturday evening but didn't affect our service at all. Please thank her again for us, great great service all around!“

I went to Krave Restaurant in Bridgeview last week and really liked it the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. The place is cozy and easy to feel comfortable

We had the Lamb Chops & Eggs and it was really good the lamb was tasty and eggs cooked just right. Also tried the waffles they were light and fluffy with bacon and eggs really hit the spot. Portions are big so you leave full

“Came in on a Thursday night. It was fairly crowded but our server Matthew was very attentive. They have a good beer selection, both drafts and cans/bottles. The food was very good, especially the mashed potatoes, and salads were half-priced. Would be a great place to watch a game and grab some beers and food. We’ll be back again.“

“I just hosted my wedding at Chief O’Neill’s on Saturday and it could not have been more perfect. Siobhan and her team took amazing care of us! The venue is stunning, the food is phenomenal, and every one of our guests was gushing about how impressed they were by everything! The back beer garden is so magical, you would have thought we spent tens of thousands of dollars to dress it up, but we didn’t need to. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue to host a wedding, party, shower, or intimate event, you should definitely give them a visit!“

“We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“We ate at Phase Three today at the recommendation of my doctor. And it did NOT disappoint. We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. There were so many flavors and they all blended so dang well. They even had some unique beer option that we brought home. If your down in the Chicago area or willing to make the trip, it’s definitely worth it“

“I love Standard Market's Seeded Rye Bread! It is one of the best rye breads to be found anywhere in the west suburbs. Unfortunately the last two loaves I bought are so very , very salty? I do bake bread myself (not as good as Standard Market's) I am aware of the role of salt, sugar etc. and their proportions, so why this extremely salty version ?“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. “Don’t order the short rib mini sandwiches! They were 90 percent fat. When I informed the waitress she indicated that there is always fat on those sandwiches. My sandwich was mostly grizzle and fat. My friend had the same thing but hers at least had some meat.“
