“My Fraternity Brother Anthony Williams and partner Byron Diggs when not bringing great joy as a part of the Our Lady of Our Lady of Africa Parish, Chicago Eucharistic Ensemble have a great Cafe in Maywood right off of I 290. It is called Meal of the Day and has some great southern cuisine in an establishment on the 4th floor of a business complex overlooking I 290. It is appointed with some great art from notable black artists . There is also a banner from Hales Franciscan Class of 1979 , not sure what that’ s all about .. lol! They also do on site catering and have fed the masses after masses at their home church . Check them out ! My fraternity brother has been telling me for years to make the drive and wifey and I finally did and it was so worth it ! .“

“Music was very loud in bar. Just a little lower would have made it more pleasant experience. Bar tender was excellent, but she had too many people to serve by herself, the people Sitting at the bar and all the bar tables. They should have 2 people behind bar to wait on tables and bar. “My flight got canceled so it was the end of a long day when I finally made it to the Hilton Garden Inn, but the service at the hotel was great and the Cobb salad at the restaurant tasted like I had just picked everything fresh from the garden. Definitely stay here again!“

A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. “I love Standard Market's Seeded Rye Bread! It is one of the best rye breads to be found anywhere in the west suburbs. Unfortunately the last two loaves I bought are so very , very salty? I do bake bread myself (not as good as Standard Market's) I am aware of the role of salt, sugar etc. and their proportions, so why this extremely salty version ?“

“We ate at Phase Three today at the recommendation of my doctor. And it did NOT disappoint. We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. There were so many flavors and they all blended so dang well. They even had some unique beer option that we brought home. If your down in the Chicago area or willing to make the trip, it’s definitely worth it“

“My wife and I watched the bears vs packers game. Great atmosphere and fun time watching the game. However, BOTH bathrooms had issues and one urinal overflowed causing a mess. When the game was over and we left, we were blocked in by someone who made up a parking spot in the back of the lot. Multiple people made up spots all over the lot. When I addressed the issue with the front desk and spoke with the manager, they did nothing and said to call the police. It is not up to the customer to manage your property. I thought it was a joke of a response when a concern was raised.“

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and unique, and our server was incredible. The music swaps between 80's, 2000's, all sorts of genres, which was greatly appreciated. Almost wished I lived here just so I could make this spot a regular of mine!“
