I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant! The waitresses were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience.

The food was outstanding—the soup was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, making for a perfect start to the meal. I also tried the avocado roll, which was exceptionally fresh and of the highest quality. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, complementing the sushi beautifully.

Overall, this restaurant delivers both excellent service and top-notch sushi. I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve been here twice for lunch and dinner. Both times the fish was perfect. Nigiri and Sashimi that is top of its class (fresh, large portions, perfectly prepared). This is one of the best sushi spots in Chicago and the prices are more reasonable than everywhere else (local or in the city). The Nigiri/Sashimi lunch is only $16 and very large. I had 12 different cuts of fish for dinner. I will definitely be back. Great food, great service, well done! Highly recommended.“

“I’ve come here a few times now since they opened and I can confidently say it’s some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. There takoyaki especially is the best in the city, probably in the Chicago area in general. I’ve had both their spicy tonkatsu ramen and black garlic ramen and the black garlic is my favorite of the two but they’re both very good. My wife tried their lunch special recently and was a huge fan. I’m hoping to come here for years to come so do yourself a favor and give them a try.“

“We were indifferent to Mora when it first opened several years ago. The food was ok but not great. We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.“

Vegetarian options: I love their veggie rolls! So good.

Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to shellfish, octopus, mackerel and gluten amongst other things. They are always happy to substitute if need be and make sure I have everything I need to enjoy my meal without incident. I have never had a food reaction or even an upset stomach eating here. They are very mindful to make sure they serve what I ordered and nothing else.“

“Parking: There is a parking garage directly under the restaurant, taking the elevator up brings you right next to the patio. There were plenty of parking spots.

Wheelchair accessibility: The two sets of doors into the restaurant are not automatic, but the restaurant is very wheelchair accessible otherwise, and parking in the garage below, you're able to take an elevator up easily.“

We ordered three different types of rolls, Boston, Sweet potato and shrimp tempura, all were fresh and had excellent flavor. We also had the steak ramen, spectacular! “Great food, great experience! They charge by the plate. You take a plate of your favorite foods off the conveyor belt, and dispose of the plates in a reciprocal on your table. Plates are counted and that's how you are charged. Really inexpensive, and delicious high quality food.

“A chill local sushi shop with amazing prices and even better sushi. My friend and I love to come here on our lunch break, and we've been blown away every time.

Sally is the go-to person during the day, and she's been a delight every time. Not only is the service fast and phenomenally attentive, but the staff are both knowledgeable and willing to give great recommendations too. Their specials actually feel special: the Mango Tango roll could almost be a dessert dish! The fish is fresh and tasty; as a tuna lover, I'm particularly delighted when there's no hint if fishiness, and every roll I've ordered here has been nothing less than delicious. Their side dishes are generous and tasty, the rolls are of perfect size, and I've never once left hungry. Even their miso soup hits the spot on breezy days, and that's a recipe that's hard to nail as well as they do it here.

“This is absolutely a one of a kind experience! My mother and I did the “Decadent Omakase” as it was our first visit. Lee, our waiter was amazing. All of the staff that helped us were so informative and kind! The flavor in each selection was beyond this world. It was pricey but worth every single penny. I have never had a better experience in my life. The Omakase was EIGHT COURSES. Every one being perfectly curated. I cannot wait to go back.“
