“Nice bar to go to, good people go in there. Lately I've been noticing the bartenders don't want to do their job, want to hang out with their friends and not cater to customers. Very unfriendly, act like you're a problem if you aren't a everyday customer/friend. I hate having to wave down a bartender to get my drink, this isn't your clubhouse...it's your job! smh!“

“I’ve been coming here since I was 8yrs old and they used to have smoking sections in the dining areas. I love this diner. I’m the type of person that will try anything once but when I like something I will make it a usual. So the melting pot was a must get hangover meal after the horseshoe casino when this place was open 24hrs. They changed so much since Covid happened and that’s so unfortunate! I moved away and I still come back just for the hot fingers with extra ranch but they close after 9pm and you can’t dine in after 5pm, that’s so ridiculous now. I just know those hot fingers are carrying the whole joint on its back at this point! Since I can’t catch them during their new dine in hours I’ll have to read the reviews for whatever else is good.“

“It was my first time there and it was great. We sat at the bar and the bartender, although very busy, still took good care of us. The food was good, the ambiance was awesome. The live music was the icing on the cake. I'm definitely going back again.“

Mom got the rice and beans, son got the half chicken and I went for the catfish...then ofcourse my daughter ordered the black bugger. We'll definitely be back when in town again, the ratio for the rice and beans was little though. We got some fries to go. Overall, we loved the food!“

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious soul food. I love the dressing, baked chicken, sweet potatoes and muffins. The portions are good, I had enough left over to take some home for a late night snack. Our hostess Ms. Lyn has outstanding service she made sure that my glass was full at all times and that I had everything that I needed. Chicken was not hot, and it was in a warmer, greens was okay, dressing was good, and everybody knows, cranberry sauce goes with dressing, the cup, was so small (1/2 teaspoon) extra one is quarter (they don't tell you when ask for it). pet peeve with restaurants stingy with condiments, food not being hot.Try it for yourself.“

“We have Been at Theo’s at least 20 times in the last 3 years. The first time was the best and last night was the last. Food was a lot better 3 years ago. The staff seemed like they cared about you buying the right or the best value, Last night we were ripped off. David was our server. Telling how great the specials were with out telling us the price. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. SeaFood Special $175.66 Who the hell charges this for a pound of crab legs and a lobster tail? Never again! Buyer beware!“

“The Nile of Hyde Park is my local comfort food. Even though I grew up in the Midwest of the United States whenever I’m in need of comfort food these days, I’m ordering Lebanese food from here. There are too many things to name as favorites from this menu, but I’m very partial to; the lentil soup, the hummus with chopped beef, the Jerusalem salad, and the combination 14 for the meat eaters. Amazingly well done food for as long as I can remember (and I’ve been in Hyde Park since 1989).“

“Looking for a great dinner experience? Mesler Snoasis did it for me and my birthday guest (12/26). We arrived at the Sophy Hotel Lobby entrance. The luxurious and contemporary decor with a wall to wall fireplace was a beautiful ambiance. We immediately began posing for pictures, while waiting for our reservation time to arrive. Dinner outside in the heated igloo “Snoasis”. From start to finish it was a great experience. Igloo was beautifully decorated, cozy with music from the record player. Our appetizers and dinners was delicious (seafood; beef & chicken). The staff is attentive. Our waiter Michael is very professional and knowledgeable about the menu, guiding us in making a delicious choice. Thanks Mesler, I will be back and I’m sure my guest will also. Everyone enjoy it.“

“Plein Air Cafe is one of those places where the environment is just as enjoyable as the coffee. The espresso was excellent—smooth, rich, well-balanced, and clearly prepared with care. If you appreciate a properly made espresso, this place is worth a stop.

The atmosphere really stood out as well. It has a relaxed, inviting feel with a great vibe that makes you want to stay awhile rather than just grab a coffee and leave. The space feels comfortable and thoughtfully put together, and the service was friendly and welcoming.

The staff was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and the one detail that struck me the most was their treatment of everyone-open and caring.
