“Kiwa is so special. The sandwiches here are seriously next-level — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care you can taste it. Every bite feels like a little flavor explosion. The vibe is calm and modern, and the staff is super friendly. If you haven’t tried Kiwa yet, go. Just go. You’ll thank yourself (and probably crave it again the next day).

“i follow a blogger on youtube that travels the world. he is visiting Ethiopia and through watching it learned that Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. So i googled Ethiopian coffee shops in Louisville and found Abol cafe. visited today and had some pour over coffee, it was the best coffe i've ever had, and i have tried coffee everywhere!!!! believe me when I say this place has the best Coffee around. This place more than exceeded my expectations of Ethiooian Coffee!!!! I will be visiting this place alot more.“

“This is a fantastic place to get your coffee fix and a quality breakfast. The staff are very kind and personable, they want to get to know you. The espresso is very very good, locally roasted by Ithmah Coffee Roaster. It has a cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating. They also hold many events that you and your loved ones can attend. 10/10 would recommend!“

“I just tried this coffee for the first time and I have to say that I'm a fan. Not only does the coffee taste amazing but the service was equally as amazing. The only thing I didn't like was that the music was so loud I had trouble hearing the girl that was taking my order but I will gladly trade a little loud music for the top-notch service and tasty drink!“

“I have become a regular of the Bardstown Road location in Louisville. The coffee and the food is always consistently good but It is the constant, great customer service that keeps bringing me back. I wish I could send this with all of the staff names that treat me so great but unfortunately, I do not know all of their names. Jess is one that truly stands out. Even if she is not working the window, if she hears my order over the speaker she makes it a point to say, hey. It is obvious that she is sincere about making sure the customers have a great experience.“

“My friends and I just spent 3 days in the Highlands, and we visited Safai Coffee every single day. Every drink we tried was fantastic, and every food item was delicious! We also stocked up on their awesome merch as well (yay LGBTQIA+ friendly businesses!). We are now back home in Illinois and I’m craving a Black Magic latte like crazy! We will definitely be back next time we are in Louisville! 🖤“

“Having an awful morning, my dads dying and I was crying in the drive through today on Father’s Day and Tony taking the order was beyond kind and made me a special drink and Ana (Anna) not sure but I was told she was the one who wrote a very kind message on my cup. These two will make me go back to this location hands down. Scooters who? Heine brother who? These two at this location are absolute angels.“

“Love this Heine Brothers, very consistently good cappuccino, friendly, efficient service.
There is a beautiful, covered courtyard partially draped under a vine-covered pergola. Nice to sit and people watch, read, or write.
Only complaint is that the courtyard area is not wheelchair accessible because of both steps and gravel floor.
Inside is very accessible though.“

“My barista Abby really made my visit something special here. She made me a peppermint iceburg (something that was not on the menu) and quickly but was really friendly and she upped the size of my drink for me and let me use my rewards credit to pay for it so it was no charge to me. “this is the cutest place and such a hidden gem. i loved it in here and every time i've gotten anything to eat or drink from here it has been beautiful!! the reason i’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 unfortunately is because when i walked in with my medical alert service dog an employee told us no pets, which is fine. when we told her he is a trained medical service dog she gave us the absolute dirtiest look ever. when we were ordering she kept looking at us very judgmentally and snickering to herself. none of the other employees appeared to have any issues at all and were actually incredibly kind.
i hope when i return again this type of judgement will not be put onto me!!“
