“I'm in it for the wings. I've ordered delivery a few times before making a review. The sauces are fantastic. The wing size seems hit or miss. Sometimes they are big pieces, sometimes I swear I'm eating a baby chicken. If this place stays with the larger sized wings it'll be my go to! (Of course I mean bone-in!! Boneless isn't a wing people!!)“

“This place is AMAZING. Everytime I'm riding through Port Allen of course I have to stop and I always spend wayy too much money. They have lots of choices of meals or individual items. And if you like them they have a freezer section with most of the items to buy and bring home! They have amazing pepper jellys and jars of pickles, okra and asparagus that are out of this world. My order WAS NOT complete - the $8 cheesecake was NOT included, nor were there napkins or plastic ware or paper plate - so I had to resort to eating out of the bag. After waiting 45 minutes for the manager to call back to merely resolve the order, I had no resolution. Now - the restaurant will not answer my phone number. “This place is such a cute place, its family run business. They are so friendly and welcoming, there’s a reason why their customers keep coming back. There crawfish was on fire, coming from Texas, Louisiana crawfish is much more spicier. I usually can’t handle spice much but I kept on eating more and more. And to be honest I think it cleared up part of my cold I was fighting too. But over all it was great, will have to stop by again when I’m going through Baton Rouge.“

“I’m fairly new to University Seafood and I absolutely love the crawfish. They are always hot and just enough spice. The flavor is amazing, please don’t ever change your recipe. It’s my “go-to” now. Used to be Tony’s Seafood, but now it’s University Seafood! They are consistent. Been there 4 times now. And every time they are absolutely delicious. Thank you!“

“The crawfish were huge. I got take out and found the specials on facebook (it was $8/lb and now it's around $5/lb). They were slightly overcooked and the meat stuck onto the shells a little. I got it with the garlic butter sauce on top and man was it salty. The corn was good and the potatoes were slightly softer than my liking. Everything was drenched in the sauce so it was very salty. Service took about 10 minutes and the ambiance was relaxed and looked like the inside of a shack. I would try it again but without the garlic butter on top.“

“Trying to find live crawfish Sunday morning was harder than I thought. I reached out to farmers meat market the morning of and they were more than happy to help. When I arrived I was able to get a 35lbs bag of the largest and most fresh crawfish I have ever eaten. I would highly recommend them for live crawfish.“

“I recommend Phil's Oyster Bar & Seaford Restaurant for their atmosphere, service, and food. We made reservations and didn't have to wait to be seated. Our waitress was wonderful and paid attention to details, as in special requests due to allergies. The charbroiled oysters were the best. Phil's is definitely the place to go for seafood.“

“My Wife and I eat here often even though it is a 25 mile drive but worth the drive. We always have Mary as our server and she takes excellent care of us. In fact she just ask me "the usual" for a cocktail and she knows to bring my Martini fixed just like I like. The steaks are great. I do not know of any other restaurant in Baton Rouge that has better steaks. If you start your meal with some of their wonderful tamales you will not regret it. We always enjoy the food, drinks and service at Doe's.“

“Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!“

“Love to eat here. I'm definitely a regular. Many stop here for lunch and throughout the day. The crawfish bits are great. The chicken stew is a favorite. Fried fish and potato salad. The twice baked potatoes is a great meal. The honey jalapeño. wings are great. Seafood is great. I often use the catering services as well.“

The happy hour prices only apply if you are actually sitting in the bar. That is not posted anywhere and the manager on duty said he saw no need to do so.“

My colleagues couldn't make up their minds, so I said see ya, I'm going to go to Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar. I wasn't disappointed! I sat at the bar and the waitress was super attentive, friendly, and helpful. Diet coke and six oysters, please. It was one of the best hours I spent in Baton Rouge. When COVID began they switched to delivery or pickup only and the day after I got a personal text from the owner (got number from ordering system) thanking me for supporting local during a trying time. I have never been disappointed and LOVE the healthy zoodle option personally! I an not a zoodle person but for me it works in poke perfectly!“
