“The restaurant itself is clean and spacious! Aside from that, the food is so delicious and made fresh to order! Packed with flavor, not oily or soupy. I got the honey chicken with pork fried rice and spring roll. By far the best honey chicken I have had in a VERY LONG TIME. A lot of places the breading becomes soft but here at Hawaii City, even hours later I have crispy pieces of chicken. The rice is sooo good! Quite honestly it’s the best spring roll I have had in about 10 years! Crispy outside, soft inside. The service is immaculate, the girl who runs the counter is so cheerful, always smiling and extremely sweet! We will definitely be back Hawaii City! Thank you again for a wonderful meal and wonderful service!“

I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and the Chinese food is absolutely terrible, small portions, yellow rice(for fried rice), and expensive for the amount of food. This was the best Chinese I've had since leaving California. It smelled great, and tasted even better, and at a reasonable price. You should appreciate what you have here, I would definitely eat there again.“

“We decided to try out Chinese Kitchen Express to see what the hype was about, and it definitely delivered! We actually went inside and although it was really small it was clean and neat. There were 2 order kiosks and multiple decors pertaining to Bruce Lee. We ordered their Boneless Chicken Combo with an Egg-roll & Shrimp Fried Rice ($12.95) & their Beef and Broccoli Combination with Double Shrimp Fried Rice ($14.95). The portions were HUGE! Not sure what others are talking about the condiments, they are always on the counter, free, as many as you want. Every sauce they have and no they do not charge for condiments and they are friendly, professional, and the prices are very good for the amount of food you get. I’ve been coming to this place my whole life, and I just wanted to leave a truly heartfelt review. The food has always been amazing, but I want to share something personal.

Some time ago, my dad became very sick due to his own health issues — not from the food here. During that time, he wouldn’t eat anything for weeks. One day, I brought home a plate of food from this restaurant, and as soon as he smelled it, he said, “That smells really good.” I told him I had plenty and offered him some. He finally decided to try it, and after the first bite, he said, “That’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.”

From that day on, my dad started eating again—this food gave him his appetite back. For the remaining weeks of his life, he ate from here almost every day. Because of this restaurant, he gained some strength back, and I truly believe that him eating again gave him more time with me.
