“We were on vacation for one of our kids wedding The hotel we were staying at is located just in front of the restaurant What an amazing find to have this kind of food and wonderful atmosphere right around the corner of the hotel in walking distance Less than 5 minutes Can’t say enough about the staff from the hostesses to the servers and the wonderful chefs The 1st time we sat at the bar to watch the food being made which helped with selection 2nd time we sat at a table because we knew what we wanted Overall experience with my family coming to the restaurant is you’re missing out on one of the best kept secrets Absolutely delicious and wonderful meal From start to finish My Family & I want to say thank you so much for taking care of us and making us feel at home“

“The fancy drinks 🍹 are titillating and the appetizers are fantastic. However, the entrees were not impressive. The chicken was served undercooked and the shrimp dish was overcooked and very greasy. Ambiance is what you pay for here and the delicate mix of intoxicating flavors in their cocktails! Staff is very friendly!“

“One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans was at Toups! We had a charcuterie board with their house made hogs head cheese, chicken liver mousse and foie gras accompanied by house pickles. Simply incredible!! The hogs head cheese was the best I’ve ever had! I especially loved the chunkiness of it with nice pieces of tender pork! The crispy turkey necks! Oh my goodness… AMAZING! The braised lamb neck entree was exquisite with a generous portion and crispy spaetzle! Even leftover, it was great!! I also had their pork chop and applesauce cocktail which was creative and also delicious!! I highly recommend this restaurant! Great work Chef Isaac and team!“

“My friends and I stopped into Cure for drinks and apps before dinner, and it was such a great spot to kick off the night. The drinks were tasty and well-crafted, and the apps were light and flavorful. Just note that they’re definitely small plates—perfect for sharing, but I’d say 4 people max per dish if you’re splitting.
Chill vibe, great drinks, and a nice way to start the evening!“

“The staff at One11 Hotel and Batture Bar were incredibly accommodating. Their professionalism and expertise was extremely helpful during the setup and execution of my wife’s surprise party! The loading dock proved to be an excellent location for a party! The outside area, with the pool and fire pit was incredibly beautiful. The rooms were exquisite, clean and well decorated. The bar area and the staff was great! I know all of our guests were impressed and said they will be back! Thanks again!“

“I visited the location on Ponchatrain in Nola last night _ I will NEVER dine in late at night - The host was outside playing with the managers dog in the parking lot - She walked in the side door and greeted me picked up the menu and NEVER sanitized or washed her hands. The server complained about it being slow- My food came out cold- The manager on duty last didn't care- They put my side dishes in the microwave They served me the same cold chicken I sent back and just put it on the grill for a few minutes. Horrible customer service experience and the quality of the food was worse.“

“The next time you’re in NO, make a reservation at August! You’ll thank us, I promise. 🤤 FIVE STAR REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The meal started out with a “gift from the chef.” A savory leek custard, topped with pumpkin mousse and a sprinkle of sweet & salty crunch, presented in a perfectly carved eggshell. We were given spoon bread as well, which was the lightest, airiest and creamiest corn muffin ever to cross my lips. The sommelier told us that the secret ingredient was sour cream. I guess the secret is out now! 😉 Our sommelier suggested Pinot Noir. Monty chose Belle Glos Las Alturas. Let’s just say that we started shopping for it online immediately after the first taste. It has a fuller body than a typical Pinot Noir, so smooth and juicy. Such a perfect pairing. 🤌🏼 Monty had the pecan-smoked venison tartare with celery root and mountain rose apple. The flavors and textures were out of this world! We combined a few bites of the tartare with a bit of spoon bread. Omg, I’ll say it again: Out. Of. This. World. 💥 I ordered the gnocchi "black and blue" with black truffles, jumbo lump crab and parmesan. Tender, yet slightly firm, with a delicate, pillowy texture, but the truffle took it to a whole ‘nuther level! They gnocchi’d it out of the park with this one. For dinner we shared duck three ways with Bayou Cora grits, foie gras, confit, chestnut mushrooms and cherry bounce. Y’all, I’ve had foie gras, but never before like this. An intensely flavorful silky texture that literally bursts on your tongue. It was absolutely divine. Dessert was hummingbird cake with creole cheesecake, bruleed banana and pineapple ice cream. I just don’t know what to say except the pastry chef knows exactly what she is doing!! This was definitely meal to remember with the love of my life, my favorite dining companion, and my partner in culinary escapades. I love our journey of flavorful adventures, seasoned with spice and a love that mirrors the diversity of a well-crafted menu. Here’s to more delicious chapters in our love story, baby, where every bite is a beautiful reminder of the incredible life we share! Cheers!! 🥂🥂“

“Food was outstanding as usual. Items very reasonable priced. Very loud, hard to have a conservation for two. Felt like my appetizer was rushed due to the main course coming out too soon. Waiter very attentive in the beginning but later was distracted serving a large table that ordered several bottles of wine. My husband said it was the best Old Fashioned he had ever had. “This place is IT! please come see NOELLE and her boss/cook Matt. Omg, the foood, the vibe, the convos, the fact it's a local joint but also so welcoming to everyone was just ideal. It's got a dive type of vibe, and also a very obscure feel. Like, you shouldn't be here, but again, you should! Tried every type of egg roll, pulled pork sandwich and the crawfish queso dip OMG, so delicious. Again, Noelle, just felt like family!!“

“No real outside signage to inform walkers that a bar and restaurant is there. No clear entrance to bar/restaurant unless you are a guest at the hotel. Only managed to stumble across it by word of mouth. The lighting is a bit too dim, way too loud to hear the bartender, kept having to ask him to repeat himself. Really limited vegetarian options on the menu but the feed green tomato sandwich is good. The service and knowledgeable recommendations by Austin were excellent, Glenn was extremely nice and helpful.“

“Dined in, ordered gumbo, crayfish eggrolls, BBQ wings. The gumbo was delicious...a true Nola taste. The crayfish eggroll with a light savory sauce was cooked to perfection and BBQ wings w/ celery sticks were the best. Food was served with a beautiful presentation. This spot is a hidden gem. You have to check it out. We will be back.“

“Junior's is an absolutely wonderful spot. I took my family of 8 and the experience could not have been better.
We walked right in, grabbed our table and started with drinks (all delicious) and the appetizers were lovely (especially the brussel sprouts).
Everyone enjoyed his/her individual entrees and our wonderful server was efficient and personable. We had to skip dessert, but the options looked tasty.
Junior's is certainly a place I'll return to.“

“Meril, Meril how I love you This is one of our favorite spots to go for date night or just meeting some friends for dinner and delicious cocktails. Service is always top-notch. We usually have a main waiter and then someone assisting with the table. But don't take that as a stuffy, uppity place to be, it's very casual and nice to have servers taking care of the table all throughout the meals. Apps: we decided to make a meal out of appetizers, and we kind of went overboard. Definitely small plates but big enough to share with leftovers if you do it right. We decided to order appetizers and make that our meal. We chose the Bacon Braised Collard Greens from the daily specials. We also chose Smoked Fish Dip, Crispy Cod Sliders, Deviled Eggs, Korean Fried Chicken Wings and Pad Thai Cauliflower For cocktails we started with English Turn(grapefruit but not sour), Tchoup(cucumber deliciousness) and Albariño(smooth white wine). All so good! It was also our 11 year anniversary and they surprised us with some cotton candy and a sparkler! Perfection!“

“Bob Boudreau and I were in NOLA for 9 nights. Three of the nights we had reservations at other places with family. Our 1st night we looked up and found Jewel of the South. We loved it so much. we asked our nephew, his medical school advisor and his wife to join us. All three lived in NOLA and had never been here. All 5 of us would definitely go back in a heart beat. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great staff. GREAT ALL AROUND! FIVE STARS for Jewel of the South.“
