“One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans was at Toups! We had a charcuterie board with their house made hogs head cheese, chicken liver mousse and foie gras accompanied by house pickles. Simply incredible!! The hogs head cheese was the best I’ve ever had! I especially loved the chunkiness of it with nice pieces of tender pork! The crispy turkey necks! Oh my goodness… AMAZING! The braised lamb neck entree was exquisite with a generous portion and crispy spaetzle! Even leftover, it was great!! I also had their pork chop and applesauce cocktail which was creative and also delicious!! I highly recommend this restaurant! Great work Chef Isaac and team!“

“I visited the location on Ponchatrain in Nola last night _ I will NEVER dine in late at night - The host was outside playing with the managers dog in the parking lot - She walked in the side door and greeted me picked up the menu and NEVER sanitized or washed her hands. The server complained about it being slow- My food came out cold- The manager on duty last didn't care- They put my side dishes in the microwave They served me the same cold chicken I sent back and just put it on the grill for a few minutes. Horrible customer service experience and the quality of the food was worse.“

“I have visited about 5 times, and if you want to pay a mark up for a nice date night spot with decent drinks and food then Cure is a good spot with a solid ambiance.

The reason I'm giving it a 4 (would go lower but don't think that would be fair because it is a decent spot for what it is) is the happy hour. Very small pours (~1 oz) on the beer and the shot combo, the cocktails for $9 were ok, and a table of 5 was charged an auto grat (only an issue because the server didn't alert us when dropping the check off which is a huge red flag to me).

It feels like the happy hour is trying to embody more of a dive bar vibe and it's competing with way better places in the city. Not my first choice as a bar but not having to venture downtown and the large regular cocktail list are definitely pluses for Cure! Will definitely return for a date night at some point.“

“I have been coming here for 20 years or close to it. I love the hamburgers, garbage can nachos, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, spinach and shrimp quesadillas, ribs, and recently discovered the Baja taco with salmon this summer. That’s my favorite go to meal now!!! I usually got a margarita on the rocks with dinner. But changed it up with a watermelon daiquiri with tajin on the rim. Delicious! This was one of my mom’s favorite places too. I sure miss going there with her sharing a hamburger together and having margaritas. Great neighborhood restaurant.“

“I came here 2 weeks ago for a friend's 50th and it was 10 or 12 of us, and it was the best experience, and we had a private room the food was great and so was the staff. So, 2 weeks later I'm back, and it was just 2 of us this time and just as great, plus they have happy hour, they were out of the Tuna Poke bowl, but that's is just fine, it shows they only serve fresh, and it can signal the fish wasn't up to par today, you can tell it's genuinely fresh when you taste it. I live an hour away, by it's so worth the turn around trip, I love this city and this place is another reason to visit.“

“This was probably some of the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had. I also had some corn grits that were amazing and the sweet potato puree. My boyfriend got the ribs and they were so tender and so flavorful. The only downside was my boyfriend said the red beans were like what you would get at Popeye's.“

My wife ordered the hamburger, and even though there was a bit of a kitchen timing mishap, she said the burger still tasted absolutely great. The menu has a lot of good options, the flavors are on point, and it’s a very convenient, well-done spot to sit down and enjoy a quality lunch when you are exploring the area.
The Absolute Best French Fries!
I have to dedicate an entire section of this review to the french fries because they are truly enough to write home about! They are thin steak-style fries and were, by far, the absolute best fries I’ve had in a very long time. If you are anywhere near the WWII Museum, these fries are an absolute must-have. Even if you order a full table of other food, do not miss out on getting an extra order of these fries to try. They are spectacular!

Our waitress was working completely on her own, and I want to emphasize that she was incredibly kind and accommodating. Because she was flying solo, it did take a little while to get our initial order taken, and there was a complication where it took about 10 minutes for the kitchen to realize they were out of the ingredients for my original order. Because of that delay, my wife's burger sat under the heat lamp for an unnecessary amount of time while they waited for my new order (which, to their credit, came out incredibly fast once placed). While the pacing was a bit off due to the understaffing, the restaurant completely made up for it by giving me my food for free. We deeply appreciated that gesture and made sure to leave our waitress a very generous tip to thank her for her hard work.“
