“Run don't walk to Pagu for absolutely scrumptious food that weaves together Japanese and Spanish Basques Cuisines! A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“

“Food was delicious. Only dish they didn't wow was the Sea Captain. It needed a bit more depth to the sauce. Service was generally good but expected a bit more coordination between server and runners and runners just dropped food without any explanation about what it was. Also, timing was a little odd. Got 4 dishes very quickly and then a long wait until the entree. Overall though would definitely recommend“

“We took a friend out to dinner at Oleana last night for her birthday and it was one of the best meals we’ve had. We loved being able to share and sample so many dishes, and each one was a masterful balancing of herbs, spices and flavors. The service was also top-notch. We can’t wait to return! It’s no surprise that it’s hard to get a reservation.“

“The tase of the food was amazing , but portions are very small. Even a dinner is a tapas appetizer. The drinks were good too. But $15 for a margarita is stupid. $8 is reasonable
The service was tops and quickly. Friendly and kind, but language barrier. Is an issue. I spoke English and Spanish and no one understands anything? I’ve had much better in oriental de Cuba, which is NO LONGER in JP.

“This was one of the BEST omakase experiences I have ever had. The attention to detail was extraordinary. I ate at several two and three star Michelin restaurants last summer in France and I was happier with my dining experience at Umami. “I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. Thank you, Tawakal Halal, so much for giving me an experience I will never forget and know that when I return to Boston, you can bet the first stop on my itinerary will be your café. “Had an amazing time tonight, I am so happy my friend recommended us visiting this establishment. The atmosphere was welcoming, the music choices were spot on and I cannot emphasize my appreciation for the staff. Our server Nicholas (also a bartender) made our time at brick and mortar so special and was extremely attentive. In my humble opinion he not only deserves the world but also recognition (don’t know how much he is being paid but double it and everyone should tip him please) for his ability to make the night special and fun. The potato chips were delicious and crunchy. The Mexican radio had me hooked, and was extremely smooth. Would come again, and recommend it to others!“

“I don’t miss much about going vegan but I do miss diners. If you’re looking for classic diner style vegan foods Veggie galaxy hits the spot. Very cool diner vibes, complete with large cake display up front and neon lit signage in the window. They do serve eggs & cheese but everything on the menu can be made vegan if you ask. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a classic plant based greasy spoon experience.“

“Cannot emphasize enough how great Mae Asian Eatery is! We recently stopped in for dinner and would definitely return. The food was fantastic -- a Chinese-Thai fusion that was really yummy. The service was also outstanding. It was super fast (especially impressive considering how busy it was), everyone was very kind, and we got to speak with the owner afterward who told us about the food (the secret to how yummy it is? His wife is the chef!) and the history behind the name. Just an all-around great experience and cool local business we were happy to visit.“
