“Last night, we walked towards The Aviary's entrance surrounded by beautiful flowers and lots of hydrangeas. Magical. The restaurant itself did not disappoint as it too was absolutely lovely. The wait staff was superb. Nice and efficient and they got every order perfectly. We were delighted. However, the food left a bad taste for sure. We were served room temperature brussel sprouts that were not cooked! Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Pasta dish was floating in oil!! Total disappointment. Sadly, this beautiful restaurant has not earned our repeat business.“

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“The food was absolutely phenomenal! However, I was there for a large party this afternoon, we rented the back room. And the manager scolded us for being out on the deck because “it was a place for dinning and not for us to hangout”. we were out there trying to enjoy the view, which I feel like is a big hit for this restaurant. Mind you there were no guests seated outside anywhere close to where we were standing and we most definitely wouldn’t have been out there standing in between any tables if people were sitting out there that’s simple common courtesy. Either way she was very rude about it instead of just stating that she’d prefer for us to be inside. I might go back because the food was so good but my only hesitation is to give someone any business who is rude to guests. I worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and I don’t think I would have ever enjoyed working for someone who talks to guests the way she spoke to us!“

“I wanted fresh halibut today so headed over to Tiverton today. I was disappointed they were out of halibut but happy I was told there was more coming tomorrow. The gentleman (I’m sorry I didn’t get his name) asked me how I planned to cook and serve the fish and with that information he suggested swordfish steaks and recommended foil on the grill to keep the juices in. Grilled swordfish with mango salsa—was absolutely delicious and the fish melted in your mouth. We cooked way more than we could eat, so our dogs got a warm treat with their kibble tonight and they licked their bowls clean.Highly recommend!!“

Waitresses were always pleasant, polite and good humored. (Image the ribbing they took from 6 to 10 older men! Friday, 3/15/24 ,my wife, my sister, my nephew and I had the dinner special for 2. Each :Cup of Chowder, 2 Clam Cakes, Fries, and Fish. EXCELLENT in every sense of the word and good portions! ( I also managed to consume a HUGE Strawberry Shortcake! ) I cannot praise enough the quality of the meal, service, and reasonable price. You owe yourself a trip and meal at this“

“Probably the best Easter Brunch we've had in years! The two of us were seated right on time for our 2pm reservation at a spacious 4 top and served water quickly. Kris our server was bright and attentive throughout the dining experience! We started delicious iced tea and an order of Pâté de Champagne with pickled vegetables, cornichons, arugula, and slices of grilled country bread, followed by their velvety cauliflower soup with crispy capers! Wonderful! We both chose their unique eggs Benedict served over a nest of country ham and potato latkes! We finished our repast with coffee and a shared crepe dessert filled with lemon ricotta and berries. Outstanding! All of our food was piping hot and delivered in perfect timing from appetizer to dessert. The classic French Bistro style dining room is always warm and inviting filled with natural light, a great neighborhood view out the windows and wonderful artwork throughout! Check was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served, and we included an extra 5% to the standard 20% included in the check for exceptional service from every staff member who attended us. We may have to make this a yearly tradition!“
