“Last night, we walked towards The Aviary's entrance surrounded by beautiful flowers and lots of hydrangeas. Magical. The restaurant itself did not disappoint as it too was absolutely lovely. The wait staff was superb. Nice and efficient and they got every order perfectly. We were delighted. However, the food left a bad taste for sure. We were served room temperature brussel sprouts that were not cooked! Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Pasta dish was floating in oil!! Total disappointment. Sadly, this beautiful restaurant has not earned our repeat business.“

The carpaccio was the best we’ve had, and the gluten-free s’mores dessert was absolutely delicious—a perfect ending to the meal. “We discovered this small family restaurant a couple of years ago and it has become one of our favorites! The sea scallops are the best we’ve had anywhere ( so sweet and cooked to perfection). We’ve tried many of the menu options and have never been disappointed.“

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“I recommend everything about this place - phenomenal restaurant. Service was top notch. Oysters were perfect and lobster rolls were huge - they say 8 ounces of lobster - had to be closer to 1 lb. On a Friday, got there at 8:30 PM (after the dinner rush) and had no wait for a table. Pretty much a perfect dining experience.“

“Nice location. The restaurant is very clean, bright, great views. The food was average, portions are on the smaller side. I got the baked stuffed shrimp, it came with only four med size shrimp, very little stuffing, a small sweet potato and undercooked green beans. I usually cannot finish my meal, and I left hungry. I would give it another chance if in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way.“

Set-up was easy, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. I attended Endicott College back in the day and remembered sitting on rocks in Rockport with bunch of friends, enjoying the fresh, local seafood. 🍤 I recently noticed this brand while shopping and although pricey, I decided to try it for lunch today. The boil bag was easy peasy, enough for two bowls and like I mentioned to poster below, I purchased some RANA lobster ravioli that were void of any indication of lobster, although it was listed as second ingredient on packaging. I combined the two. What a delight with great flavor, thick broth and satisfying product. It’s what I purchased when your New England establishment is a distance away. It’s next best thing! 😋🦞“

My son (almost 3) loved seeing the cows and trucks that were set up there. We went inside to get a snack and he started having a mini meltdown because he wanted to go back outside. An employee (wish I got her name) came from behind the register and gave him a couple stickers and told me I was doing a great job, which really means a lot when you feel like you’re doing something wrong as a mom. I appreciate that woman more than she realized! 💕 I ordered a cream puff and 2 chocolate chip cookies. When the employee from behind the counter handed me my box she let me know she gave us an extra cookie! The employees really were amazing. Waitresses were always pleasant, polite and good humored. (Image the ribbing they took from 6 to 10 older men! Friday, 3/15/24 ,my wife, my sister, my nephew and I had the dinner special for 2.
