He got the chicken jambalaya and I got the seafood and let me tell you it was AMAZING!! It was way too much for lunch I felt like I needed a nap after eating all that but man it was fantastic. The shrimp mussels and catfish were cooked and seasoned perfectly and the rice delicious I couldn't wait to take the next bite. Will definitely be going back and taking others with me to experience this place. “I, along with four other friends went to this restaurant on Saturday 8/23/25 and both the food and service were excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was very polite, friendly and professional. I personally loved their corn bread muffins and asked if I could buy some to take back home. “I came for the food and got an entire experience. I had the curry chicken, jerk chicken AND the oxtails, everything was seasoned right and full of flavor. Definitely some real soul food.

But what really made the place stand out is there’s more to it than food. They have karate classes in the basement, plus books, essential oils, herbs and other products in the shop.

“I just called the store and gave my thoughts about the individuals that prepared my order. I had the vegetable omelette, side of toast, and grits. There’s no pics because I had to make a decision to either put down the fork or pick up my phone. Anywho, if o didn’t know better, I’d swear I cooked the everything myself. Just the way I love! Omelette: full of vegetables flavor, grits, stirred to perfection, not lumpy, and my toast, wow !!! Not soggy and soaked in butter!!!! You have started my day with joy!!!! I’m appreciative!!! “I ordered via delivery the $12 Meal Box, but the chicken wasn’t ready. Ms. Sunshine called, explained the delay, and still honored the special even though it was past the time window. She let me switch to the grilled Swai, and it was fantastic—hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The Swai, green beans, collards, yams, and mac & cheese were all delicious. I just finished the dinner & it might be the best cabbage & curry goat in the city...cabbage alone was the best I had in a very long time. The Wait wasn't more than 15-20min. Kai has brought an exceptionally superior Vegan cuisine to our area and even with the Baltimore metro area’s rise in Vegan restaurants Dodah’s Kitchen is clearly one of the best, and absolutely should be the restaurant on everyone’s “bucket” list. Meet Kai, talk with her and one will soon realize that Dodah’s is a literal extension, an aspect of her being. She is meticulous and one of the best definitions: (taking, showing, or involving great care and effort) Synonyms for meticulous: careful, conscientious, fussy, loving, painstaking, scrupulous, and to me, this reminds me of Mama in the kitchen !! and with that, we don’t even have to talk about the food.“
