“4 of us dined early at 6:00 to avoid noise & be able to converse. That worked for part of the meal until 4 women came in, were seated next to us, and proceeded to talk and laugh very loudly. We complained to the manager, and he was unwilling to ask them to lower their voices, so my husband did that. Didn't work. Sigh. Really ruined an other wise decent meal. Hubby and I both had the Portuguese stew which was flavorful & plentiful. Disappointed at the lack of gluten free bread, so don't bother to ask if that's an issue for you. Server was very good. We were asked about our meal several times which was nice. We would have lingered to order coffee & dessert, but it was just too noisy & unpleasant.“

“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service“

“The salad at $8.50 was overpriced. It had a quarter of a tomato, just a few onions, and hardly any other veggies. The bread was tasteless. It was served cold and the crust was too soft. The main course of linguine and clams was fine. The service was a little slow.“

“It's impossible not to compare Don Pollo to other local Peruvian chicken places, like Crisp & Juicy or el Pollo Rico. Because of that there's a high bar set. The chicken is fresh, juicy, and well seasoned, but I'd have preferred a more crispy skin. The black beans and rice lacked flavor, definitely needed salt. The fries were where they lost me. They weren't fresh, weren't seasoned, weren't hot, and worst of all, they were kind of soggy. The sauces were very good. You get a bright green spicy sauce, that seems to be made from fresh peppers, perhaps jalapeño. Then there's a mayo based creamy orange colored sauce. Frankly because the chicken is so well seasoned, I don't think it needs sauce, but it's nice to have the option.“
