“Absolutely amazing experience! We reserved two tables - one for our 17 y/o son and his friends. He was celebrating his birthday and the second table for our party of 3. Tony delivered outstanding service to both tables and made the experience so memorable. The cocktails were delicious (the Maverick was quite yummy). The food was incredible. Highly recommend the wagyu dumplings, the lobster tacos and the ribeye!!! The manager came by and checked on both tables which is always a nice touch. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

As another example, I was shocked to see a review giving them only 3 stars commenting she got sick (even though she said she loved the food there). I was wondering if she did not cook her food well in the hot pot, or she couldn't handle the spices.“

“I don't go to Rio often but found myself having to go to a store there and decided to walk over to Mason's to try out their Lobster Rolls because I've been on a Lobster Roll kick this summer. The Lobster Roll here was pretty delicious and tasty. I ordered the Connecticut roll with a side of Cape Cod chips and a can of Coke. It didn't take too long and looked really nice. I'd def say it was one of the better Lobster Rolls I've had this year and I'd def come back if I found myself at Rio again. Service was good and quick and the place was clean.“
