“Hidden gem! Parked to go into another restaurant then happened to see the orders this restaurant was bringing out, so switched gears and came here for lunch. Food was delicious: fresh, hot, tasty unique flavors. Fresh ice water available for paying customers which was nice. The staff was friendly and smiling, helpful, polite when our child was looking for the restroom and the tables were cleaned up fast which was nice as the tables were turned over quickly. Want to come back even though we don’t live close!“

“Coming from a MacArthur Blvd native (20+ years in the area), I can confidently say that the market (or “the deli,” as we usually call it), holds a special place in my heart. You get the BEST sandwiches. Lots of variety in the store, vegetarian and vegan friendly. Good prices.“

From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! “The service was attentive and friendly. With the preselected menu being two servings of steak frites, they'd asked me what temperature I wanted. I figured they'd be masters of medium rare given the restaurant's name, but unfortunately I wasn't served a medium rare steak. The first course they served was rare, with a good part of the center uncooked. The sauce was good, but the doneness made it much too chewy. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for my second course, and again, was not served a medium rare steak. This time, though, on the opposite end of the spectrum— the steak was served medium well, without much pink. I'm mildly confused by two things: how there's this much variance in steak doneness, and why a restaurant named Medium Rare seemingly hasn't figured out how to make a medium rare steak. I'd give it a 6/10 overall— I wish the food was treated better.“

“We came to DC for 3 days and 2 out of 3 days we came to Pearls!. I HIGHLYYYYY recommend coming here, even if its out of your way!! “First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

The menu is somewhat like a tapas place in that the portions are fairly small and if you go hungry, you may need to order more than one. Courthouse Social is an awesome spot to hang out. Great vibe, friendly staff, and solid pub food. The outdoor seating is perfect for chilling with friends over a drink. Definitely one of my favorite local places—highly recommend it!“

“Loved eating here. The restaurant smelled faintly of incense, which was a welcome ambiance. Tables are layed out well so it doesn't feel cramped. The space is nice and bright with beautiful decor. Sheer chai — this tea had a nice balance of milk and sugar

Mantoo classic — these beef dumplings were full of flavor and served at the right temperature, hot but not too much to burn your mouth

Lamb shank — the sauce was packed with flavor and the meat fell off the bones. It came with rice that was a lovely buttery complement to the lamb

Sheer berenj — had this for dessert and it was very refreshing. It's not milky and the pistachios on top added a nice nutty flavor to the rice pudding

Green tea with cardamom — nice way to end dinner“

“I had the pleasure of visiting Minya’s, and it was fantastic! The pizza was absolutely delicious – the crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings fresh, and the cheese melted just right. Whether you’re a fan of classic pizza or looking for something more creative, they have a wide variety of options to choose from. My favorite is definitely the Derho pizza, love the Eritrean fusion of it all!

The service was fast and friendly, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both a casual meal or a night out with friends.

Highly recommend Minya’s if you’re craving some of the best pizza in town! I’ll definitely be coming back.

“Cute place to grab breakfast. I give it 4 stars, it’s just a hyped up breakfast spot. The bagels were okay and the service was very good. No space inside to eat so be prepared to eat it outside, we didn’t mind since it was beautiful out but check the weather prior to arriving. I would come back if I am close by but I wouldn’t take an uber 25 minutes for a bagel here.“
