“The shrimp scampi pasta was so good and the portion was a lot. I asked a waiter to bring 4 small plates for our appetizer, he said I’ll let your waiter know. He’s not our waiter , but I don’t see why he cannot bring the plates. Bad Service!!“

“Some fantastic and clever vegan options taking influence from a variety of global cooking styles while painstakingly limiting to locally sourced ingredients. Service was incredible, and the atmosphere was surprisingly casual. Some particularly strong mushroom options and one oyster on offer for those wanting it. Maybe bc it was winter, I found the menu very homey and hardy without an over reliance on showmanship or crazy techniques and processes - at least in comparison to a lot of modern fine dining.“

“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! The restaurant is uniquely decorated, the staff were friendly, & the food hit that major comfort button for us! Thank you Zahara for being so sweet & a wonderful waitress. “This was BY FAR the best dosas and Idli we have had in years! Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. The dosas were just perfect - the masala and chutney and sambhar -10/10! Go - no run to this place!“

“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“5 stars isn't enough!! From the moment we walked in until the end of our night we were satisfied. The decorations, food, and service was amazing! They even offered me a quiet place to pray :). Give this place a try-trust me (portions may seem small, but it was very filling- we ordered the bowl of fries, which came with a delicious sauce, CROQUETTES, fish burger, beef burger, and gnocchi pomodoro. It felt like we were in nyc enjoy :)“

“We had the best time at KooKoo DC last night. They accommodated a table of 14 for my spouse's birthday and never let us feel like an imposition. The food was so fresh, authentic, and reasonably priced - I did a double take when we got the bill. I even felt like we went all-out with apps, drinks, and desserts! The owner was also so kind - we just felt so cared for the whole time and can't wait to visit again.“

“Never thought I’d find a dive bar that also serves delicious vegan food AND has a great drink menu (local brews and non alcoholic options) but this place exists and is awesome. Food is dive bar comfort style and tasty. Atmosphere is dark and grungy but welcoming. I will be back.“

“Such a superb dining experience. I was solo so sat at bar and my waiter went above and beyond with exceptional wine and food knowledge and service. The food was subtle, creative and beautifully balanced. Everything just worked. I find US restaurants rarely have ambiance but Tail Up had great lighting even if dining room was fine but unremarkable. It was a brilliant experience of a brilliant kitchen, sommelier and serving team. Thanks for a DC highlight“

“Located in on the 3rd floor of Tysons Galleria near other food court restaurants, Andy’s is a great choice for toasty pizza with tasty toppings!
Their pizzas have such fluffy and crunchy crust. I recommend the pepper and sausage pie. It’s also great they have hot honey as a “fancy” option for their pizzas! Their shaken lemonade was served in a large tub and extremely sweet, but balanced out really with the savory pizza.
A few complaints: If you are ordering a full pizza rather than a couple slices, I recommend ordering ahead of time rather than at the counter because I had to wait 20 mins the last two times. They also need to remove the Sicilian pies off the menu because they never have those available. The servers also have a bit of sass when dealing with customers. Even when a full pie of what I ordered was ready first, they replenished the individual slices first before my order.
Overall the pizza is great and while I have a few qualms with the service, I’ll still be back to grab quick slices.“

“Hidden gem! Parked to go into another restaurant then happened to see the orders this restaurant was bringing out, so switched gears and came here for lunch. Food was delicious: fresh, hot, tasty unique flavors. Fresh ice water available for paying customers which was nice. The staff was friendly and smiling, helpful, polite when our child was looking for the restroom and the tables were cleaned up fast which was nice as the tables were turned over quickly. Want to come back even though we don’t live close!“
