I've never had bun bo hue before this place so its my first impression and I cant compare or say whether its authentic or not. But it is the main thing I order. And you are able to make replacement i.e replacing the udon noodles with pho noodles. The pho noodles are great quality, they dont melt or become sludgy or sticky or break apart like I've experience in other places. If I'm recovering from an illness, I'll get the chicken pho and it tastes great as well. The portions are amazing for the price. With a small size, I'm still able to have leftovers for later. We ate inside the restaurant (although there TONS of to-go orders picked up while we were there. The service was outstanding, and the food was even better. Our group couldn’t stop raving about the Banh Mi Beef and Banh Mi Grilled Pork sandwiches. The caramelized meat paired perfectly with the fresh veggies and sauce— absolute perfection!

Broth is flavorful and doesn’t just taste like water. Meat is fresh. (We always order the Tai #15) and bean sprouts, mint, jalapeño and lime are always fresh!

The water is not great so beware but if it has a lot of ice it helps lol. They do have other options to choose from as well. We normally get some soda.

The place is very out dated and kinda ran down. It is all men so you know they don’t care. There is a few guys that have been there FOREVER and are super nice. Some of them do not speak good English but they do understand.

Oh, they only take cash but if you do not have it there is a ATM at the laundry mat next door to get cash.

Weekends can be super packed as it’s a great hang over saver lol but durning the week it’s great!

First and foremost some of the most incredible fish selections and quality (I wonder if they get their fish locally or from Japan like some of the high end omakase restaurants in DC!) we’ve had at a non $$$$$ level. Their Thai dishes were spectacular and the best we’ve had in a very long time (coming from a family who relocated from HI). Everything we ordered was a HIT: fried calamari, crab Rangoon, tuna TaTaki, Edamame, Penang chicken, drunken noodles beef, pad see ew shrimp and Nigiri (tuna, white tuna, yellowtail, fatty yellow tail, salmon (all compete with high end or island quality fish!) ). I seriously cannot recommend this place MORE and my entire family waits our next visit! Last but not least it was a very comfy and cute spot with incredible and fast service!“
