The dishes, including delectable sashimi, ramen, and Wagyu beef, showcased Gyuzo's culinary excellence. Amanda's attention to detail and seamless service left us eager to return.“
“Update April 2024Another 5 star experience with excellent service by Caleb and his colleagues. Food was delicious with timely course delivery and lovely presentations. Constructive criticism - the sugar on the vanilla creme brulee was burned. But seriously, I still ate it and it was good.Update 3/6/2023Again, excellent greetings by host staff, only a momentary wait for a table for two (Monday night, non holiday), excellent service by Eric and his team. Food was amazing - always recommend the deviled eggs with sugared bacon, chicken with angel hair pasta with tasty mushrooms, and the bread pudding a la mode for dessert! Ambiance is filled with families. only constructive criticism to offer is that the music is slightly louder than needed - as it is difficult to hear across the table and this seems to drive the background noise from other parties even higher. Still a delightful dining experience and food and I will return.Original:Excellent service provided by Brendan for dinner. appetizer was deviled eggs with delicious candied bacon, the cheese burger was perfectly cooked and the dessert was white chocolate bread pudding a la mode!! So delicious and will return!Vegetarian options: Just ask - plenty to offer!Dietary restrictions: They can still prep food if you have a shellfish allergy ?AND they have a small menu with gluten free choices!Wheelchair accessibility: Doors and tables and bathrooms are ADA compliant.“
“I often set meals of celebration on my schedule after completing a hard day at work, hot pot hero has been my choice for that meal very regularly. Amy, always addresses me by name when I visit and always make sure I have everything I need. She and the rest of the staff are awesome, the food is also exceptional portions are great and the overall experience is why I go.Parking: There is parking on the road, as well as parking around the corner in the building next to HPH.“
“Hands-down, the best Greek restaurant in Montgomery County! The owners are from Greece, so the food is authentic. Some interesting dishes. The vibe of the restaurant is next level, lots of Quality details. Service is always spectacular. One of my favorite restaurants in Onley. Great for date night or a family outing.“
“I've been coming here for years with my friends for birthdays and just hangout. I like the ambiance, the food, and the staff. Melissa is our go to waitress, absolutely love her patience, kindness, attention, and professionalism. It's really nice that they revise their menu a little to match the season!“
“Girlfriend and I wanted to try something new. We came across spice street and never had Indian food before. Service was amazing and food was excellent. We had the chicken curry and chicken makhani with garlic naan bread. All the food was amazing and would definitely recommend to try this place out.“
“Some great food and a few misses. The oysters were great- cold, briny, and delicious. I ordered the grilled tuna off of their special spring menu and it was phenomenal. Great flavor and cooked well. The most egregious flaw was a medium-rare steak that was ordered was served medium-well. The waiter wasn’t able to provide information about what oysters were available and the bar struggled with a martini. I’ll give it another shot but expected a little more for the price and reputation.“
“I’ve made few memories here, multiples friends have made plenty of memories here, grand scape of slightly different environmentsIt’s a good time.Passion fruit cheesecake was amazingMuch respect to the placeDietary restrictions: All types available but not very heavily“
“We had a late lunch, so not busy. Food was excellent. Service was good, as was the atmosphere. I feel to judge it thoroughly and truly, I should go at peak hours. However, I would definitely go again, and I have already recommended it to a friend.“
“If you like interesting, delicious food... Go here!! Spicy, flavor packed. Possibly the best restaurant in Silver Spring. The pickled mango dishes are always mouth watering. Green tea salad is bitter in a good way.Yelp messed up my order and they were incredibly understanding (I advise calling them to order directly though).“
“This is such a hidden gem in the DMV area. It was a last minute decision to come here and I don’t regret anything! Their seafood was so fresh and the drinks are AMAZING! The servers were very sweet and friendly. We order for 4 and have so much leftovers. Even the bag that they send you home with is reusable. I would say the best cajun seafood place I had ever. You should try their house special sauce, you won’t regret it!“
“Fabulous, friendly and welcoming service. Our waiter (maybe Oswin from the receipt?) was particularly good, as were all the staff that delivered wine and food throughout dinner. Excellent menu with tons of delicious, unique, gluten-free options. Great location in the heart of silver spring with easy access to public garage parking. Festive atmosphere on a bustling Friday evening. Highly recommended.“
“My wife and I arrived shortly after Saturday morning opening. A cheerful Giovanni promptly welcomed us. I informed him we would be a party of 5 or 6, the rest of our party would be there shortly. Giovanni welcomed us to wait at the bar, and handed us menus to get familiar with. He also offered to prepare any drinks we might be interested in and mentioned several. We do not drink, but hung out at the front. We mentioned we were celebrating my daughter's birthday. This was our first visit here. When the rest of our party arrived, Mark had our table ready. Giovanni brought us to the table. He took care of water and checking if we wanted any other beverages. After that, we ordered two starters. A dozen oysters on the half shell, and their smoked fish platter. Both were very well presented and very appetizing. We ordered our entrees sometime during the appetizers. Giovanni was continously smiling, joking around, and very happy in general. Our main course were served in a timely manner. Everyone ordered something different. Every dish was very well prepared and presented. The serving sizes were generous, from our point of view. We were full and satiated, but not stuffed. Everything was fresh looking and fresh tasking. The seasoning brought out the natural flavors of the proteins and sides. Everyone had a clean plate at the end. To our surprise, Giovanni brought over a desert with a candle in it. He led us in a happy birthday song. Obviously we were very happy with the entire experience and look forward to visiting again.“
“Talk about a diamond in the rough. Once you get over the initial shock of how small the dining area is, you will feel as if you transported into a dinner party in Italy as the small feeling quickly becomes a cozy feeling as you are greeted like long lost relatives. I've gotten takeout many times because the food is delicious and each time I'm struck by all of the relaxed smiling faces of the diners clinking glasses of red wine as they nibble on their bruschetta appetizers and I leave wishing I had a reservation as well.“
“Whether you're craving classic Jamaican jerk or want to brunch out on curry, Negril is the place for real deal island flavor. Be sure to order their Sorrel Hibiscus/Ginger drink, it’s delicious and perfectly accompanies your meal. Negril is an absolute gem for those craving a delicious taste of Jamaica without leaving town. Highly recommended!“
“This place is delicious and has wonderful service. I got the oxtail pho and my daughter got the fried rice with a strawberry nutella crepe for dessert. The broth on my pho was some of the best ever. The basil and bean sprouts were some of the freshest I have seen at a pho spot. This place is wonderful - you can get great pho, crepes, and teas all in one spot. The staff were super friendly.“
“Top tier! They do a lot, and it's all exceptional. Come here for your super fresh seafood to take home. If you dont wanna cook, they have pre-made meals you can take home! The tiny bar in the back has wow food! Before you leave, get one of the pastries from the baker, holy cow... save it for last!“
“Dear Diary - This is one of my favorite convenient hotpots in the area. Using their iPad to order your items, they often come to the table very quickly. They do have a serving robot mainly handling drinks/dessert orders which makes it pretty efficient as they can focus on other tasks. Love the efficiency and the various soup base flavors that are offered.“
“Just awesome food and drinks. Pricey but worth the cost.Update 2024 - well things are back in place. Great food, staff, and experience. Under new ownership. It shows.Update 2021 - things are slipping - pictures of the candle holder on my table - the could have at least cleaned it a before setting this on the table- food has taken a similar hit - rooting for a rebound“
“Vegan reviewer here! It was my first time to Yuan Fu Vegetarian and based on the reviews I was really excited to try them out. I went on a Friday night around 8 PM. From the outside it's nothing spectacular which is a great sign of authenticity. Right when you enter there's booths and tables with the counter at the back. They were about 1/4 occupied. I decided to seat myself in a booth and was greeted right away and handed a menu and was asked what I wanted to drink. I ended up deciding on the pecking duck which was the most recommended menu item and the vegetable chow foon since that dish is one of my favorites to order at any Asian restaurant. The both dishes came out about 10 minutes later. I had never had real pecking duck but wow this was delicious. The plum sauce really complimented the dish. Definitely order this dish. The chow foon was alright. Rice noodles really soak up any sauce you put on it so I was disappointed when there wasn't much flavor. The noodles were also pretty soft and I like them to have a bit of a bite. I asked for chili oil and soy sauce to jazz it up and it did the trick. I have a big appetite but had to ask for boxes. The service and food were great overall and I definitely plan on coming back and trying other dishes. One thing I will say is I asked for an itemized receipt and they had to handwrite it since they don't have a digital system. Both dishes came out to just under $35. Can't wait to come back!“
“The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. We ordered seafood and chicken soups. The seafood soup was good, but the chicken soup was ok. The noodles were overcooked, and the chicken pieces had a smell, so I didn't like it. I also ordered fried shrimp and scallion pancakes. Both the appetizers were good. Overall, it is a casual spot for soups and appetizers.“
“Don’t let the generic name/lack of curb prevent you from giving this place a try!Seen this place all the time when stopping at 7-Eleven next door but didn’t give it any mind until recently when I wanted some Chinese takeout. So so glad I ended up trying it because the food was legit amazing - which is great because the area historically has not had great Chinese options.Got the hunan & orange chicken along with hot & sour soup - couldn’t tell you a single bad thing about any. Main entree + lo mein + soup + egg roll for under $15 is amazing value for the portion size. This has 100% become our household’s go to.“
“I had to knock off a star. The fare is quite amazing, I’ve always had great meals here. But . . . . . I have to take off a star. They added large TV sets since I was here before and the dining atmosphere is ruined by soccer games and what I guess is Indian rap music blaring on another. Totally awful distractions from trying to intimately enjoy their incredible food. Also, a mysterious “service charge” appeared on the very bottom of our bill. If it was noted on the menu I never saw it. The server’s explanation of this extra 15% charge was unintelligible. When the credit slip arrived, it was asking for yet another tip. I’m not a cheapskate. I worked in restaurants for many years and know how difficult it can be. Asking for a tip on top what already has a service charge is a bit arrogant. So, pretty awesome food. I would go back with earplugs and a sharper eye on the bill.“
“My family and I absolutely love Cooper's Hawk! This specific location is where we have embraced going out as a family and getting to know the staff has been a wonderful experience. Jackie, the manager is absolutely amazing, very caring, and personable. We have completed many tasting as members, and really appreciate Mark and Taylor specifically, as they are knowledgeable and it is clear that they enjoy what they do. You will not be disappointed visiting Coopers Hawk!“
“This is the closest place you'll get the Szechuan food in Maryland. I came to Bob's Shanghai and ordered a lot of the Szechuan based menu. First order the beef tendon which had plenty of heat, personally there was a too much black pepper for me. Still was plenty tasty with a gelatinous texture. Secondly had some of their soup dumplings and it was great. Not as much soup as I would like, but there was plenty of flavor. For those who don't know what soup dumplings are, soup dumplings are essentially dumplings which have soup in them. They come out piping hot so you really want to watch out before you bite into these. We also ordered the pork belly stir fried in vegetable and Szechuan sauce. This was the highlight of the whole trip. The stir-fry consisted of plenty of garlic, bamboo shoots, green pepper, spring onion, and Szechuan peppers. The fatty pork belly and combination of vegetables really gave a nice touch. Lastly I ordered the Dan Dan noodles which were terrible. They were dry tasteless and not worth getting. Considering Szechuan is one of my favorite food styles, I usually go to Philly in order to get my Szechuan fixing. For now this place will do the job“
“I understand how it feels to have low expectations for food and then be pleasantly surprised by how good it is. I had a great experience with the pizza - the amount of cheese and sauce on it, along with the light and crunchy crust, must have been a real treat for my taste buds. Based on my recommendation, I would consider trying their pizza myself. And if you do end up trying their burgers or sandwiches in the future, please let me know how they are!“
“Chef Tony has done it again. An amazing place with the best seafood I’ve ever had. Tried the Trout, Salmon, and Cod and it was all delicious, especially the veggies on the side. The Bethesda’s Best Calamari is not just the best in Bethesda but the best I’ve ever had. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed“
“A good place for Sunday brunch or an early dinner. The food is excellent. I often meet friends there. The menu has many gluten free offerings. The atmosphere is quiet and casual. The service is good.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options. High quality. Delicious food“
“Excellent tasty food! We ordered a sesame chicken salad and a hamburger, both meats cooked to perfection. The salad needed more mixed greens! Hamburger came well cooked, which is as my husband likes it. The server came and took our order after giving us extra time to survey the menu. He kept an eye on our table to attend to any needs. The wood booths create a warm feeling while the lamps make it cozy without being fussy! We love coming here!“
“Firebirds is one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in the Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Rockville areas. The service is always top-notch, and the servers all seem to love their job, and it shows. The management cares about its customers and always ensures your dining experience is the best. I highly recommend Firebirds in Gaithersburg for your dining-out experience.“
“Had a taste for chicken tenders and this place did not disappoint! The young lady at the counter was very polite/helpful/friendly, the tenders looked different to me, but tasted amazing!! They were cooked to perfection (perfectly crispy)! The fries are out of this world! They are super crispy and seasoned wonderfully! I will definitely be back!“
“This spot seems like a local institution. They had live music- two guitarists playing in the background. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was really tasty as well. The restaurant is underground with no windows but the murals and lighting make it seem as if you’re transported to Portugal. Overall, an older clientele but a lovely spot.Parking: There’s a free parking lot for customers to use.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp to enter the restaurant to accommodate those in wheelchairs.“
“Chef Tony's has so much going for it. Great location, off the beaten path, in a gated condo. Parking is pretty easy. Getting to the restaurant is fun, a little like Henry and Karen entering the Copa to see Bobby Vinton in Goodfellas. The restaurant is on the Arcade level and is sleek, fresh, well-lighted. There is a separate bar area with softer lighting and an outdoor patio as well. The dishes I've ordered or tried have all been solid. The portions are more than generous, which is nice to know with prices everywhere being higher. My favorite is Dad's Crab Pasta. They also have Pizza, Detroit style. My go-to is the 4-4-2. Deep dish, sausage, bacon, ample sauce, milder cheese blend, hot honey drizzle... You can opt in to receiving messages/ from them, which can be nice, if you want to know about specials and such. Service is on par, prices as well“
“The first time I came here was to celebrate my birthday with a few co-worker girlfriends. The girls told them it was my birthday and they came out sang to me ,(I can't recall if this is where I got to wear a sombrero while they sang). We had a good time.... Since then I have visited a few more times as it is in walking distance for me. It's a great place if you want to sip on a margarita on the patio which has a sort of tiki bar vibe at night with the lights...or come watch a match while eating the tasty Mexican & El Salvadoran cuisines. I've tired and enjoyed the ceviche, fajitas, pupusas and margaritas several times. I did not care for the nachos but it was a to-go order and sometimes that can really make a difference when you get nachos. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. I recommend stopping by!“
“Much Better than the Gaithersburg location. We been going to hook & reel in Gaithersburg for 2 years and this was our 1st time at this location. Everything was 10x better. Only downside is this is a 35 min drive when the other location was only 10 min away. Let’s just say We won’t be going back to Gaithersburg again!! Everything here was Amazing!!!“
“Delicious and fresh food. Cooked to order. Loved the friendly and great customer service. Cooking on real hardwood charcoal it gives an amazing flavor to the food. If you are ordering in I will recommend to call ahead and placed your order if you are in a hurry, since they are the only Greek restaurant that cooks with charcoal they are always very busy. The salmon dinner and salad are delicious, we highly recomm them. Also the peach Melba it's their specialty and out of this world. If you are a vegetarian you should try the Iman (stuff eggplant) stuffed grape leaves, zucchini, onion rings, hummus and their famous salads. The portions are huge. Choosing Athens Grill in Montgomery Village, MD. to have dinner with my friends was and excellent idea! We all love this place.“
“I went there for lunch today and everything was perfect—the atmosphere, service, friendly waiters, & great food! I had the Pollo Saltado (chicken w/french fries & rice) & my work bestie had the Lengua Guisada (beef tongue w/potatoes & rice). And for dessert…Alfajores (anise cookies w/creamy dulce de leche caramel)! ?“
“The food is incredible. It’s authentic. I felt like Jamaica when I tore down this meal. The staff is super friendly, atmosphere is awesome. I love to go and try different dishes and I’m never disappointed shout out to the chef ! this place really reminds me of home. Great food great people don’t miss out. Go check it out.!“
“One of our fave Korean restaurants in Maryland. We only come with friends so that we can share the food, family style. The combo with bossam and gamjatang is our fave dish to order. The tonkatsu was surprisingly really good and the portion was huge! Bibimbap and cold noodles are great too.“
“It's a restaurant with a hometown feel. Every portion is super large, and you can take it away if you can't finish it!! The owner and Chef "阿雄師" are super hospitable. The hidden Taiwanese menu changes all the time, so next time, you can ask the owner if she has any new dishes.“
“I made reservations for a party of four for New Year's Eve to have dinner before a show at the Bethesda Theatre. Two of our party arrived before me, as I was running about five minutes late with my guest, and they were able to be seated immediately which was great because some restaurants won't seat your party if everyone isn't there. The table side service is always a bit lackluster and slow. Never particularly friendly or accommodating but adequate. We ordered the duck nachos as an appetizer which, as always, were amazing. One of our party wanted the branzino entree but asked if he could swap out the sides for the salmon entrée sides and he was told that it wasn't possible, which is strange for a kitchen at this price point. He decided to go ahead and order the salmon entrée so he could have the sides he wanted but to be honest, as the person who picked the restaurant for the evening, I was a bit annoyed that he couldn't have the food exactly how he wanted it prepared. I had the seared scallop special which consisted of scallops with risotto instead of the mashed potatoes they normally come with. The risotto was a bit overly complicated with mushrooms and shaved brussels sprouts throughout, which took away from the texture and flavor of the risotto which I could barely taste. However, the scallops were perfectly prepared and the dish itself was good if you didn't expect to have traditional risotto. The rest of the party had the burger with a side of mushrooms, the salmon entree, and the scallop entrée with mashed potatoes. Two guests ordered take out shrimp tacos (also always amazing ) and another burger. All in all, the food was excellent and other than not being able to switch out the sides and the complicated risotto, we were satisfied. My Old Fashioned was also delicious. The portions are good, but for the price point, I do think there should be some leeway in swapping out the sides. Also, the service could be more friendly and prompt.“
“My husband and I come here at least 3 times a week and the staff know us know lol. We love this restaurant so much! The wings are perfect! The brussel sprout salad with grilled shrimp is also one of our faves. My husband also loves their oyster rockefeller, and their raw oysters. The people are nice and the atmosphere is great! I will take more pictures next time we go, which will likely be in a few days!Wheelchair accessibility: This is a wheelchair accessible restaurant.“
“Man I love getting to the tournaments here. It is always an amazing time. Staff are friendly, very helpful in answering questions, and giving directions, although I've been her so many times I almost know my way around by heart. TPC Avenel is a cut above the rest. See you next year. Oh yeah, and parking at homeowners nearby is offered and I've always taken them up on it. You cannot beat it. Very short walking, and vehicles are always absolutely secure.“
“This is one of my go to spots on any given week! My most ordered dish is probably the fried Cajun catfish with the dirty rice and a side of broccoli! Such a yummy dinner/ lunch! Their wings are so good! (Crispy just how I like them) I even enjoy their hush puppies, fries and cheesesteaks. The service is always friendly and delivery always prompt! Happy to be neighbors!“
“Wow, this was a surprise drop-in. I've never been here, but I will definitely be returning. I just happened to be in the area taking care of some business. I definitely brought my New Year in eating sole delicious crabs the night before. The crabs were a nice size, meaty, and excellently flavored. Great customer service also made this a place I'm definitely going to return to.“
“Stopped by Poke Bros during my lunch break to pick up a bowl to-go! I had gotten a 25% coupon in the mail so today seemed like the perfect day to use it. You can order off their regular menu with pre-made bowls, but I chose to build my own. I got a half-half salad mix/sushi rice, half-half salmon and marinated tuna, with pretty much all the free ingredients including carrots, edamame, corn, cucumber, tofu, and fried onion. The sauces I chose were spicy aioli and ponzu. Positives first: the bowl tasted GOOD. I mean flavor was on point. The salmon was fatty and melt in your mouth. It tasted fresh. I just haven't quite had salmon in a poke bowl like that before. I was surprised that the tofu had flavor as well, like it was marinated in a sweet soy. Overall no complaints with taste. Where it fell short for me was the portion. Hardly got any protein and on top of that, they chop the fish into super tiny pieces so you get even less. I ended up paying $12 for the tiny bowl (with the 25% coupon) but nonetheless was expecting more. Definitely was still feeling a little hungry afterwards. Overall, would give it a 3.5 (debated rounding up or down). Not sure that I'll be back as the value isn't quite there for me.“
“We happened to come across Yu Zhou after a trip to Sam's. This is clearly a family owned restaurant. On our visit I noticed the owner giving the staff iced teas from a local boba spot. Major kudos, more restaurants could learn from his leadership. Take care of your people and they'll take care of your customers. Staff was awesome and attentive, it's really an all hands on deck operation! Now the food.... Generous portions, American and authentic Chinese options and something for most everyone to enjoy. All in all a fantastic option for when you crave Chinese food!“
“Table setting was very nice and the food presentation was beautiful and very tasty. I loved the lamb chop with the creamy sauce and spices. I enjoyed the North Indian cuisine and so did my family. So thankful my son and his wife invited me to go on Thanksgiving Day!“
“Friendly and professional staff. Price is between $30 and $35 for the teppanyaki. There's some waiting on the weekends for dinner. Leo was our teppanyaki chef - he's funny and cooks the perfect steak and scallops! Will definitely return.“
“I don't understand why this place isn't getting more attention on social media because it's much better than Hook and Reel. They have great service and their butter dipping sauce is delicious, especially if you add some hot sauce to it. Trust me, you'll thank me later! I definitely will be “
