From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! The Faux-jito, Squash Hummus, Ramen, and Iberico Pork Fried Rice were fantastic! When there was a problem with our bill, it was quickly resolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!!!“

They blew my mind; specially the mushroom soup. It was amazing! I also like that the Persian bowl was a feature by an Iranian chef recently arrived to the country. The ambience and service were outstanding as well. And I loved that I could, for once, speak Spanish without feeling intimidated.“

“First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

“Bistro Du Jour is a great spot for a relaxed meal with a touch of class. The food is fresh and flavorful, the coffee and pastries are excellent, and the vibe feels cozy but still lively. The staff are friendly and attentive, and everything comes out beautifully presented. Definitely a place I’d come back to for brunch or a nice casual dinner.“

“My favorite place to get coffee in DC and a great neighborhood gem! They use counter culture coffee. I especially love their seasonal drink menu, and always crave their black and yellow coffee drink (lemonade and espresso). I’m not normally a sweet coffee person, but this place is an exception because of how well crafted their drinks are (think similar to a nice cocktail bar). I love that when you dine in, they include special toppings with their seasonal drinks. The place is cozy, well decorated, and the perfect place to catch up with a friend. Food and cocktails are great too - especially for a quick meal / breakfast / snack. My favorites are the sausage egg & cheese breakfast sandwich and ajiaco soup.“

“I hosted my wedding reception at Riggs in October and was absolutely floored by the level of service, kindness, and professionalism of everyone. The valet employees were exceptional - especially Coach. They went above and beyond for us and all of our guests to make such a smooth transition anytime we came in or exited the hotel. I also had the pleasure of working with Karen & Brittany on the event side and cannot say enough good things! Karen started our journey into wedding planning and Brittany absolutely crushed handling the rest and it was so appreciated! Brittany was so down to earth and she put my Type A mind at ease that she had it all under control at all times and it was life saving! Not only was the staff amazing but the hotel is stunning, cafe riggs has the best cocktails and overall we couldn't have asked for anything more. “Came for high tea today with family - I notified the staff several weeks in advance that I'm vegan and one of my siblings is gluten free, and that we both have specific and severe allergies.
I was very anxious about dining here because I had to be hospitalized after having afternoon tea at another (and completely unrelated) place earlier this year.
They assured me on the phone, and again when we were seated, that they were aware of our allergies and dietary restrictions and everything would be taken care of. But when our food came out, the items we were allergic to were on our plates! Our waiter, Deepak, was extremely apologetic and quickly took care of it.
At the end of our meal, he told us he had talked to the manager and had ALL of our meals comped because of the mixup - something we did not at all expect and tried to protest! It was incredibly generous and kind, and even this aside, he was an attentive and excellent waiter.
I would come back again for the quality of service alone (and the vegan scones melt in your mouth!).“

“Our visit to Zeppelin was absolutely breathtaking! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with the most exceptional hospitality by Ari and the rest of the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind, paying tribute to the Golden Age of the Great Passenger Airships. But the real standout of our experience was the food. It was absolutely divine. We began our meal with the Edamame and Miso Soup, both of which were the perfect starters and set the stage for the rest of the meal. The Seaweed Salad and Cucumber Sunomono were also refreshing and bursting with flavor. For our main course, we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes from the KushiYaki (Japanese Charcoal Grill) menu. The Ebi Shumai and Beef Harumaki were both cooked to perfection, while the Takoyaki was a fun and tasty snack. But the standout dish was the Okonomiyaki, with its tempura, red ginger, okonomiyaki sauce, and mayo creating a truly unique and flavor-packed experience. From the sushi bar, we sampled a variety of rolls including the Negitoro Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Rainbow Roll. Each one was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced in flavor. We also tried the Sashimi Sampler, which was a fantastic way to try a range of different fish. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying the Green Tea Ice Cream, which was the perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note. Our experience at Zeppelin was truly extraordinary! The pizza was absolutely delicious, and we also tried the traditional breakfast (ful), which was so flavorful. The ambience was beautiful, with all the pictures and artwork of Asmara adding such a warm and authentic touch, truly making me feel like I was back home.
