“My husband brought me here for our anniversary and it was absolutely phenomenal. It’s located in gorgeous historic Ellicott City and the atmosphere is romantic and intimate. “I have come here to eat for years even when they where at another location since I was little. I have always come here when I want very good food, the best to be exact or when life has me down. The staff is so friendly. I even came to pick up my take out order one time and I had gotten a flat tire driving over just before turning in and they even came out to help me without even asking. “Service and food slowly deteriorating as expected. We have been to the restaurant around 12-15 times since they opened. Initial visits were good but lately we have seen steady decline in their service.
In our last visit a male employee who seemed to be the manager/owner took our order and completely ignored the details. e.g. Asked for chillis in the veg uttapam and a soft mysore masala dosa with masala on the side. We have ordered this many times in the past and it arrived as ordered until this time. Chillis missing in the Uttapam and dosa was crunchy with masala inside. It is not a big deal but their attention to detail in listening to the customer seems to be vanishing as they have become popular in the area. I wish another good dosa place opens in the area so the quality remains in check. Another observation is that they are now skimping on the quantity of some chutneys as you can see in the picture. Food taste has been consistent over all.“

“You know the best food comes out of the little holes in the wall restaurants, right? Unpretentious, even hard to find if you follow Garmin GPS, but amazing food. This is it, the little gem of Ethiopian food off the beaten path in Ellicot City. Never packed in the restaurant, but always a pickup order going out the door. Beef, lamb, chicken wots (stews) plus vegetarian dishes are all available. Don't know what to order, just ask. Don't forget the doro wot for the fun of the hard boiled egg. Veggie sides give your mouth a break from the spicy dishes so you can dive back in. Take your Tums if this is new to you. If raw beef kitfo doesn't appeal, just ask them to cook it.

Even a little shop next door for you if you want to try your hand at Wots at home. Yes, you do want to try it. Warm stews simmering away on a cold, snowy day while you shovel snow, come in and grab some injera and go to town on warm and spicy stews. Oh yes. Don't forget to give your cardiologist a headache and make a batch of Shiro on the side because no one needs that much butter, but damn it's good when you do.

If you've never had Ethiopian food before, grab a friend and go here. Its quiet enough that you won't get lost in it all. Then hit the Ethiopian places around the Baltimore Symphony Meyerhoff building to advance your experience. Then go full on, hit up Silver Spring aka Little Ethiopia for the full immersion experience.“

“Great Korean comfort food in a small dining room in Ellicott City. I ordered their Seolleongtang with brisket. Broth isn’t as rich and creamy compared to other places but it was still pretty good. Many pieces of brisket. I did add quite a bit of salt. My daughter really wanted their bimbimguksu, but they don’t have it anymore. She got their bimbimnaengmyun and liked it. The steamed egg with cheese was good and unique.

The garlic sauce we ordered as an appetizer alone would have satisfied me but the food just keep getting better. So fresh and so flavorful!! The owner introduced himself and made us feel so welcome. “We stopped by for Thai food but noticed an abundance of Korean restaurants in the mall. After a quick Google Maps check, we chose this one—and it did not disappoint! The authenticity was evident, with all the staff being Korean and only a few speaking English.

The food was excellent for the price. We ordered the special combination for two, which was more than enough for three—my husband, teen son, and me. The highlight was the thick pork belly: it looked greasy at first, but once grilled and cut into bite-sized pieces, it was incredible. The fat rendered out, leaving the meat perfectly crispy and chewy.

The two men also shared a seafood pancake, while I was already satisfied with the small dishes—like the steamed egg and soup—that came with the meal.“
