“Foods pretty good, service is fine. But the main reason to come to the Nude Eel is the MUSIC. They have great bands. And they are careful to keep the volume down - I hate places where the music drowns out everything. I love this place and hope it will be there forever.“

It sits next to an open air lot which is definitely needed on H St. The food was amazing, I had the sea bass, plantains, salad, and cassava fries (can’t remember what they were called) and everything was so good. The staff was efficient and friendly and the chef came out to speak with us and it amazing to see that he’s native DC and young he is. I definitely recommend this place for dinner. “Absolutely amazing experience! I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant. On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable. The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. We learned a lot about how they prepared the food, where the ingredients were locally sourced from, etc. Not only was it informative, but their true passion for the quality of what they were serving really shined through.Just as top notch as the food, the service was incredible. They were true professionals that knew exactly how to strike the balance between being highly attentive without interfering with our date. The pacing of the servings was absolutely spot on. We neither had to wait between courses nor had courses stacking up. Everything was executed flawlessly.Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. Great food, great environment, and absolutely exceptional service. We will be back for sure and will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. Extremely well done!“

My table got the waygu egg rolls, Mac and cheese, broccolini, Hawaiian steak, jerk crab cakes, and the jerk lollipop chicken. All of it was on point. Drinks are pretty expensive for what you get. That was probably the only disappointment. Music is a little loud for my liking but it is a minor nit in an absolutely amazing experience.“

“It was our first out of 2 nights in DC and I wanted to have high-quality, memorable, delicious food and that's what The Duck & the Peach provided! The ambiance felt artsy and people were dressed casually but the food was fancy and expensive. My partner and I got the duck feast and everything was tasty, particularly the duck. We are duck lovers who eat duck a lot especially from Chinese restaurants and this duck was so tender and the skin was crispy the way I like it. We also had the mint ice cream bar for dessert which was super unique, almost savory and wrapped in an edible covering but I couldn't place what the covering was made out of (maybe white chocolate)? It was an expensive meal but we also took home left overs and we would come here again!“

The rainbow trout and pumpkin ravioli were cooked perfectly with amazing flavor, but they also added a dipping sauce that I now want for ALL fish going forward. My family ate Circa burgers and said it was good. The tuna poke nacho appetizer was just alright, because I don’t care for the nacho chips. I’d eat the poke with steamed rice though, or as poke tacos. I will recommend Circa to anyone I know traveling to DC. And I do have one more night here so I might go back yet again…prices not bad.“

You can also choose their preselected choices which look really good. I chose to add sautéed onions, bacon, and Italian sausage. I will say although the Italian sausage was good, I wouldn’t add it again; it didn’t hurt the burger overall. You choose your seasoning (I chose basic), sauce (house bbq), lettuce and tomato. “I'll give this review as a New Yorker now residing in DC and an avid food lover. First, this place is a gem and I can see why some Yelpers expressed the joy felt when visiting not only Market Lunch but Eastern Market. It reminded me of the old Downtown Brooklyn in NYC, before unidentifiable changes. This place promotes small businesses, most of who offer authentic pastries, meat selections, spices, and even homemade pasta. If you haven't visited Eastern Market then you're missing out on a small yet beautiful place. That said, please don't come here expecting immediate access to seating nor look for anything other than lemonade, sweet tea, and sodas to drink. They offered coffee but I passed on purchasing because the creamer stood outside on the counter and could have been placed in a small refrigerated area. Also, going back to my New York roots, this place reminded me of a deli, bodega, corner store, small shop where I ordered some of the best sandwiches and breakfast specials...if you know, you know *Jlo voice LOL* Anyway, back to being serious. Don't come here expecting seating and fancy fixing, it's a deli styled setup where you order with the cashier and wait for your number to be called. While waiting, I highly advise you to look for seating and if you find it, grab it! Or else you'll be standing for a long time. Service: it's fast paced so don't expect to take your time. Immediately look at the menu beforehand and know that the cashier is going to be moving quickly. Also, they do accept cards and cash so either will do. Beverages: nothing much to choose from but what we did enjoy was their tart and delicious lemonade. If they bottled this, I would purchase it! No questions asked. It was such a delicious, sweet, and tarty party! lol Food: I ordered the blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. Now, the blueberries were missing, I actually counted 6, but my boyfriend had way more in his pancakes and noticed that they all stood in the center of the pancake and were not evenly distributed. Aside from that disproportioned blueberries, this pancake won on buttery flavor and lightness. Paired with a side of crispy bacon (3 to be exact) my boyfriend meanwhile had 6 on his plate...not sure how they divided things when you're paying the SAME price?! But, I was pleasantly impressed with my pancakes and bacon and would definitely stop by again. Price: total for 2 orders of blueberry pancake (2 each) 2 orders of bacon (one order with 3 and the other with 6 strips) 2 orders of lemonade-total $36...not bad considering that this might be the price for breakfast for one at some locations. Advice: if you plan on enjoying the breakfast there, please arrive before 10am. We were there before 10 am and after a small wait, we finally got our hands on seating. Then, by 10:10am, the crowd started rushing in and the line began growing. I noticed people struggling to find seating (cafeteria style-long counter) resulting in them taking their orders to go. Would I return? Absolutely! I'd return before 10am and probably take my order to go. Would I order the pancakes again? I would probably try the buckwheat blueberry's next time or simply stick with plain because the low provision of blueberries didn't make me feel as if I was eating a blueberry pancake. Overall, support small businesses and support community favorites, I surely will!“

“Service is much better if you're not dining solo -- I've done both, and believe me, it's a big difference. Menu is limited but the food is usually pretty good, if you can get someone to notice you're there. On my last visit, the only person who saw that I hadn't been waited on was a kind bus person, but I had already lost my appetite and left.“

“Good place to run and out. The drive thru can't handle the number of cars sometimes because of the way it's positioned. I wished they'd open up the restaurant part again it was a great place to sit and eat. The neighborhood actually needs a place like this. The in store service is just ok nothing to scream about but they'll take care of you“

“Cute neighborhood haunt. The upstairs was pretty cozy. Seating left something to be desired but the windows and the fireplace were certainly a nice touch.Coffee was great, staff was nice and attentive.Outside would probably be lovely in the spring and fall. They do have a heated section on the side for outdoor seating where you can bring your dogs.Parking on the streets can be hit or miss so I do feel like if you're looking for the perfect "DC" coffee spot to write or read this could be it.“

“'m in town visiting friends, so of course we want to do brunch. And who does brunch better than DC? No one. And who does DC brunch right? Well, add "The Great American Bistro" to the list!Let's be happy that they have a (small) parking lot in front, so if you're driving, you may be lucky enough to snag a spot. If not, street parking it is. We walked in and was instantly greeted and seated by our server (who was playing double duty as bartender), Victoria. Throughout our visit, Victoria engaged with our party of 5 just enough to be friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. I like it when I feel like I can build a rapport with those who are assisting me during a meal. She took time to explain the menu, provided her recommendations, answered our questions, and assured that the kitchen would accommodate our special requests. Our bottomless mimosa glasses were never empty. (And, thank you for providing us options besides orange juice! We chose cranberry juice.) Portion sizes were "brunch right": Enough to fill you without being filling. I ordered the crab toast with over-hard eggs. This so TRUE crab meat, not filler, seasoned to perfect on toasted bread. It sounds simple enough, but it was a delicacy in my mouth! Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. And to that our dessert of brownies and ice cream (which I'm not typically a dessert person, but even I had to partake in it), and it was one of the most enjoyable brunches I've had in quite a while.Give TGAB a try for your next brunch: You'll thank me later, I'm sure.“

“It wasn’t a bad spot! The service was quick, our large party got sat fairly quickly, and it’s located in a cute neighborhood to walk around in.The only con is that the “homemade pop tarts” aka puff pastries were pretty dry. Other than that it was great though.“
