“I have always been a big fan of this restaurant and go there frequently. However, today I ordered the P.E.I. mussels, which were absolutely terrible. The mussels were barely warm and the broth was undescribably unappetizing - also barely warm with grease floating to the top. As usual, the staff were really friendly, welcoming and very efficient. Just a bad day, I guess!“

“Java nation offers a u due array of food options ranging from traditional breakfast to Latin fusion and even smoothies, with a standard array of coffee types. The food was tasty - I’ve had the breakfast sandwich and pancakes before and today we got a a chicken shawarma-type pita special. Filling, tasty and unique! Also got a crepe and pancakes for kids, who enjoyed them. The main issue was the pricing of some menu options and how they get you to just pay for it if you don’t check them. I was asked if I wanted French fries or chips - I preferred the fries but then noticed when she rung me up they cost $4! Which was absurd and not made clear. I also picked up a Diet Coke can - a 7.5 oz one (the only Diet Coke option) only to find out that would have been $4.50! That is even more absurd- it wasn’t even a full 12 oz can. I opted for the $5 cold brew, which seems like the going rate (maybe in the slightly higher side). The food was good and I’d return but would be kk soul of what I’m ordering.“

“We ordered the fixed menu, which we thought was a great way to experience the best of the menu without having to think about what best to order. The light appetizers were definitely the highlight, along with the desserts. I particularly liked their seafood entree.“

“Hidden gem of a shop, literally as you have to navigate through an office building to get there. The presumably owner was wonderful and very helpful, he also emphasized his use of extra virgin olive oil for health. I don’t think the Chicken Msakhen I got was on the online menu, but so so tasty.

More of a takeout shop than a date night vibe, but it does have free WiFi! Please consider giving them your business, it’s so worth it“

They blew my mind; specially the mushroom soup. It was amazing! I also like that the Persian bowl was a feature by an Iranian chef recently arrived to the country. The ambience and service were outstanding as well. And I loved that I could, for once, speak Spanish without feeling intimidated.“

From the hostess's accommodation of our late arrival, friendly greeting, and front door coat check to our waiter’s, Elmer, and wait staff’s attentive service throughout our visit, Cranes was superb! “First visit; I went for Restaurant Week. I ordered the chicken corn chowder, the short rib ravioli and the caramel cheesecake. The chowder was excellent, a great balance of corn and chicken and a goodly amount--but not too much--pepper. I loved it...and a very generous portion! The ravioli was super too--cooked to perfection, stuffed to capacity with cheese, accompanied by a nice hunk of well-seasoned and -cooked short rib. I wasn't able to finish it, so I took some home. I took the cheesecake home too and ate it after a couple of conf calls. Just the right amount of caramel with a couple of strawberries and a creme Anglaise sauce. Scrumptious!! I don't remember many occasions when I've loved all three courses of a meal, but that was certainly the case tonight. I can't wait to go back.“

“If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.“

“My favorite place to get coffee in DC and a great neighborhood gem! They use counter culture coffee. I especially love their seasonal drink menu, and always crave their black and yellow coffee drink (lemonade and espresso). I’m not normally a sweet coffee person, but this place is an exception because of how well crafted their drinks are (think similar to a nice cocktail bar). I love that when you dine in, they include special toppings with their seasonal drinks. The place is cozy, well decorated, and the perfect place to catch up with a friend. Food and cocktails are great too - especially for a quick meal / breakfast / snack. My favorites are the sausage egg & cheese breakfast sandwich and ajiaco soup.“

“This was a very satisfying burger. The Lucky Bun burger had Gouda, arugula, and charred red onions. Very hearty. Complex flavors. And i love the malt vinegar mayonnaise that comes with the fries.

“Food is really good. Good German style plates. Service was impeccable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is extremely loud. It was, however, a Friday night and was a bar scene. If you like a good bar, that's a little loud, this is the place for you. If you want a bar/restaurant that you can talk at, don't go here on Friday.“

Loved the location, close to walking to about anywhere.
Rooms where clean, a bit small. Smaller than I expected them to be but comfortable otherwise. Staff was great and every friendly.
We are breakfast a few times during our stay.
Was anxious to do so due to having to eat from the GF menu and breakfast items can be not much of an option at most places.
After speaking to the manager at the restaurant, cafe Riggs, I was put at ease as he went through the whole menu and told me what would be and what would not be and explained why.
I have to say it was the best eggs I've had in a long time and I was not expecting that I could actually eat gluten-free toast without worrying about cross contamination.
My husband had the breakfast sandwich and loved everything.
