“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

“Super adorable family-owned bakery -- they also have a great drink menu and sell some packaged Asian snacks and ice cream too. Everything I've ever ordered here has been delicious but some favorites include: their cream bun (which they fill with cream right when you order it so that it's as fresh as possible and doesn't make the bread soggy), their black sesame mochi bread, and red bean and mochi bread.“

The harissa sourdough with black sesame crust was one of the best sourdoughs I’ve had in the US. Same for the almond croissant - insanely crunchy, buttery, not too sweet, with an almost custard like almond paste (devoured before we took a photo).“

Their treats are very good, I recommend the polish apple slices and brownies and I’ve not had a sandwich there yet that I didn’t enjoy. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. “Yesterday evening I last minute decided to go to this establishment a little too late not paying attention to their closing time. It is very rare that when you see a business closing that the people inside will pay you any mind. I would have been over excited if they had payed me attention and nothing else. The person at the desk not only acknowledged me but proceeded to ring up my order (which he didn’t have to do) beyond their closing hours. I think we all know what we go to this established for at this point but this person went above and beyond and helped me to walk away from here with a feeling that is rare in this day and age. I wish I knew his name but his attention to detail and customer service spoke volumes and left an impression. ✨“

“Stopped in for a mocha breve. It was exceptionally good. I didn't have to ask for them to make is half sweet or anything. They use the perfect amount of chocolate. The half and half was steamed perfectly and not overdone. If I had known this coffee shop was here a year ago I would have come to is more. It's right beside Prose and Politics.

I also purchased the brown butter financiers which also were gluten free. They were delicious and even kid approved. Highly recommend them for coffee and pastries.

As far as seating, it's very minimalist. Not a place I'd want to come hang out. Maybe grab the coffee and find more comfortable seating outside. Otherwise, way above average coffee and pastries.“

“Iverson Cookies IS The Great Cookie! In fact the greatest cookie! It’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Every cookie is perfectly balanced between crunchiness and chewiness. It’s truly the best of both worlds and a one of a kind cookie. The prices are fair and it’s impossible to just eat ONE! The flavor and texture is always consistent and never disappoints. “I love their blueberry muffins. They are honestly better than almost any other blueberry muffins I've ever had, and I've had a lot. They have a good amount of blueberries in them, and the cherry on top is that they aren't too sweet for a breakfast item. Most muffins I have taste more like a dessert than a breakfast item. My only wish is that they were always available, as sometimes there aren't any left. Also, the pricing is extremely competitive. Not only are their muffins better, but they're also cheaper. My mom recommends the almond pastry, as it is similarly not too sweet but absolutely delicious.“

“We consider ourselves conesures of cupcakes. Traveled the US and abroad tasting cupcakes. These were the very worst. Customer service is terrible. Sprinkles, Georgetown, and Heaven Sent Cupcakery Cupcakes exceeds these by leaps and bounds and they all have EXCELLECT Customer service. Oh and their cupcakes are half the price. Sugar Vault is true to its name. The frosting like many have complained has no flavor and measures about a third of a cup in ratio to the cupcake and is unbarerably sweet. The cupcake lacked moisture and was a bit dense. The red velvet did not have a red velvet flavor. Oh and you can't go in to see what you are buying. This is the only bakery that will not allow you to enter even in small numbers rotating thru. Buyer beware...price far exceeds the value. $7 cupcakes, $16 cinnamon roll (haven't yet tried the cinnamon roll). Bought 2 red velvet cupcakes taste tested one and threw the frosting and other cupcake out.“

I ordered the Nova and it was the perfect breakfast bite: fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I wanted without feeling heavy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you actually want to sit for a bit instead of sprinting out with your cup.
