“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

The harissa sourdough with black sesame crust was one of the best sourdoughs I’ve had in the US. Same for the almond croissant - insanely crunchy, buttery, not too sweet, with an almost custard like almond paste (devoured before we took a photo).“

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience at DeeDee Delights! She was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful that I was nearly left speechless.
My brother and his wife are newlyweds who are soon welcoming their first child. With many family members far away, I wanted them to have the best gender reveal possible—and that meant a cake. I wasn’t sure what could be done on such short notice, but DeeDee made it happen! She gave me the most cute and beautiful cake for us to celebrate the upcoming arrival of our bundle of joy. She truly made our day :).“

“After seeing tons of cars visiting all day, I decided to check out the online menu. The steak nachos are tender and delicious, loaded with toppings. Taquitos with chicken were great. Also got the birria tacos, horchata and tres de leches cake. May need to return asap. 🤣“

“I went here for a last minute birthday cake run. They have a round cake and sheet cake available. My expectation was minimum due to the cake being a window cake, but I couldn't be any more wrong. The cake was delicious! The icing wasn't too sweet. The celebrant and guests loved it. The service was also very pleasant. Highly recommended!“

“Minutes from another Vegan Spot (Donut Run), I’m bummed to learn that along with their location change they no longer offer hot food or a diner type of environment. Pastries look delicious, after indulging in a donut before I wanted something savory, got the Vegan B*con, E*g, and Che*se Danish warmed up - hit the spot. Service was friendly but vibe wasn’t the same. I’d love to see them expand savory options in the future. I’d come back to try more of their sweets.“

“Located inside the Ronald Reagan building so you need to go through security to get there. Delicious cookies and ice cream that was perfect after a day at the National Children's Museum. This place is far more appropriate for kids tastes than offerings at the National Children's Museum next door.“

“Great coffee and pastries, conveniently located near the hotel we were staying at. Inside was beautiful, and service was very good. My only complaint was that my quiche Ella (cheddar cheese, leaks, caramelized onions), was almost too sweet. Not sure if that was just the onions, though. Delicious croissants.“

“Excellent baked goods! We get stollen each Christmas, it’s a 30+ year tradition in our family. Several years ago, our favorite bakery we ordered our stollen from closed. Since then, we have tried various bakeries. Unfortunately, none have been as good…until now. Ravenhook Bakehouse stollen is the BEST we have had. It has outstanding texture and the amount of fruit is perfect. The figs were a nice surprise. Additionally, we also had the pecan bars, as well as iced Christmas and gingerbread men cookies They, too, were delicious. The pecan bars crust had the buttery goodness you want from a pecan bar, but weren’t greasy as some can be. The pecan filling was perfect. The gingerbread cookie had the amount of ginger you look for in this classic holiday treat. The iced Christmas cookies were classic in the best way.
We placed our Christmas treats order online and picked them up at the DuPont Circle Farmers Market - it was so easy. Additionally, Ravenhook has friendly customer service. I called with a few questions and the baker was extremely helpful.
We look forward to sampling more Ravenhook baked goods in 2025!“

We saw the great reviews for Sylvan cafe and decided to stop in.
I got a Chai latte and veggie omelet which were affordable and very tasty! I’d highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area“

“We consider ourselves conesures of cupcakes. Traveled the US and abroad tasting cupcakes. These were the very worst. Customer service is terrible. Sprinkles, Georgetown, and Heaven Sent Cupcakery Cupcakes exceeds these by leaps and bounds and they all have EXCELLECT Customer service. Oh and their cupcakes are half the price. Sugar Vault is true to its name. The frosting like many have complained has no flavor and measures about a third of a cup in ratio to the cupcake and is unbarerably sweet. The cupcake lacked moisture and was a bit dense. The red velvet did not have a red velvet flavor. Oh and you can't go in to see what you are buying. This is the only bakery that will not allow you to enter even in small numbers rotating thru. Buyer beware...price far exceeds the value. $7 cupcakes, $16 cinnamon roll (haven't yet tried the cinnamon roll). Bought 2 red velvet cupcakes taste tested one and threw the frosting and other cupcake out.“

“Someone moved my blue basket that was in front of my machines, 2 side by side and took my card that was in it with over $9 I just added and when I spoke with the OWNER he was rude and was not helpful at all. As much money I spent in here you should had definitely should’ve taken the L and just have given me a credit. He kept saying it’s not our fault you don’t have your card and I said I never blamed anyone or specifically I just want my money back. Plain n simple. You making money everyday that $9 was nothing to just making a customer feel heard n understood. My last time coming here. I’m no longer a supporter and if I could give zero stars I would………“

“I love their blueberry muffins. They are honestly better than almost any other blueberry muffins I've ever had, and I've had a lot. They have a good amount of blueberries in them, and the cherry on top is that they aren't too sweet for a breakfast item. Most muffins I have taste more like a dessert than a breakfast item. My only wish is that they were always available, as sometimes there aren't any left. Also, the pricing is extremely competitive. Not only are their muffins better, but they're also cheaper. My mom recommends the almond pastry, as it is similarly not too sweet but absolutely delicious.“

I ordered the Nova and it was the perfect breakfast bite: fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I wanted without feeling heavy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you actually want to sit for a bit instead of sprinting out with your cup.

“Great cold brew! We saw this coffee shop in a few locations around town during our visit, and were excited to stop by and try it. The cold brew was delicious - I definitely recommend having one if you like iced coffees. The hot drip coffee was also great! The decor is cute, and there’s plenty of seating. My only constructive critique is that the team members working didn’t greet us when we walked in - they just looked at us…which was really awkward. When we engaged them by asking questions and ordering, they were nice, so that was a good thing. Coffee and ambiance were great, so I’d visit again next time I’m in DC. I recommend!“
