“One of my favorite coffee shops in the metropolitan area. The quality of the product is excellent. The aroma is fabulous and rich. There’s always room for improvement, however. Once I ordered a latte that came out Luke warm which I did not appreciate but they remade the drink. Another time I was charged for alternative milk because they ran out of whole milk, which I didn’t think was nice. But other than that, the coffee is excellent, and the staff are nice, so I visit regularly.“

“Great morning coffee spot! The atmosphere was very chilled. There were two couples on a date and something working in the corner. The soft music made me want to stay and the Açaí bowl was so refreshing and delicious! The staff mad an extra fruit toast that they offered me before I left and OMG! I will be going back tomorrow morning. I can't believe I've missed this place. It's right beside the OTHER place that is similar but I'm glad I came in here! Black owned, multi culturally operated and it just feels like warmth!“

“Delicious!! Fresh coffee and espresso, sweet treats and sandwiches! The cashier/hostess is a sweetheart! Loved her attitude! She took our order, made suggestions, and even dropped off our food. The bartista made EXCELLENT coffee. We had the Macchiato Caramello...fantastic! Very cute place! Will definitely go back.“

“The Qabuli Rice was gently seasoned, without being overwhelming, and studded with moist tender lamb. Equally impressive were the spinach and okra dishes that were fresh, tasty, and well cooked. Along with the side salad [lemony and slightly spicy], these side dishes were competing for my attention for the above reasons and being less greasy than most places. I suggested to the owner that the side vegetables should be made into a combo dish, to which they accommodated my request. Smart decor and amiable service. Their house-made saffron ice-cream is on my next visit list.“

“The staff was very friendly, helpful, and overall amazing. The person who helped us gave good recommendations. Some of the things were a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but they did have interesting food and drink options.
Parking is horrible, but that’s to be expected in Union market. there were a lot of people doing work on their laptops but other than that, there was a pretty good amount of space to be seated if you could find it.“

“Went to a sick Metal show upstairs in the music venue. Nice smaller room with killer sound. Gets pretty packed & drinks ain't cheap but a great spot to see some underground bands especially punk rock & heavy metal. Nice big rooftop patio out back. Talked to some nice folks & the bartenders weren't stuck up like most rock clubs. Lots of bar seating
Parking: Same as everywhere in DC
Wheelchair accessibility: Upstairs“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!“

“This place is AWESOME❣️ I asked the manager if they could offer more than 1 gluten free pastry & within a week they started offering the MOST DELICIOUS Meusli Muffin❣️ ?
Don't be fooled by the seeds on top into thinking it’s “a drybran muffin” - NO - it’s a moist, yummy muffin that I challenge ppl to try & see you miss no gluten when eating this scrumptious treat! ?

“Very nice little cafe with excellent coffee and food. The breakfast sandwich hit the spot, hot and freshly made with scrambled eggs, cheddar, spinach and soft, not too heavy ciabatta bread. The staff were super friendly, and as an animal lover I was happy to see Chez Lily is dog friendly too. I saw a cute little pug come in while I was there.“

“They have a gluten free bagel that was pretty good! Not a big fluffy bagel but thr flavor was good. I asked if it was toasted on the same spot as the normal bagels and she told me it's toasted in a bag. The chai was alright, a little sweet for my taste.

“We got pizza and wine here and this place is so close to a 5. They just need a fly trap in the patio, please!! The vines cover everything, cute lights, great vibes.. but I guess the flies thought so too. We got the sopressata pizza and it was really good, especially the crust. Please get a fly trap and we will come back.“

“The perfect spot to have lunch or a snack. The shallow pools that we have seen many of our visit add tranquility, and the light beaming in from the HIGH glass ceiling (roof) makes the place joyful. Then you have the choice of two marvelous museums: Portrait (more than pictures - a little history thrown in) and Art.“

“The fam and I stopped by here after a trip the Postal Museum (review to come on that for those of you who follow...aka my wife) and were really impressed. Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in the city, but good coffee shops can be pretty hard to come by.
Ebenezers was a breath of fresh air both metaphorically in the sense that it's a beautiful shop and had a really refreshing, open atmosphere, and literally because they pump the AC inside and it felt great coming in from the muggy outdoors.
The coffeehouse itself it's surprisingly spacious. On the main level there's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. When we came (early afternoon) we were able to walk right up to the counter to order and had no trouble finding a spot to sit. They also have a basement seating area that had a lot of seating, but it looks like they open and close that for private events, so not sure frequently it's available. Nevertheless, it was open when we were there.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They took our orders quickly and we were able to just sit down and wait...and wait...and wait some more. I think there was some issue with the espresso machine because the barista kept pulling shots and then smelling the coffee that came out. After doing this a couple of times he called over another employee and did the same thing with him. After a brief consultation they didn't do anything to the machine, pulled the shots for me and my wife and handed them to us.
I'm not really sure what that consultation was, but I've got to say, that little demonstration didn't give me a lot of comfort about what we would be drinking.
Nevertheless, putting that behind me, we grabbed our drinks, went outside and started sipping. Honestly, they were both great. I ordered a latte and it was wonderful, my wife ordered a lavender iced latte which was also quite nice. Maybe the barista pulling shots was just THAT exacting, who can say for sure?
All in all, this is a great spot to stop off. It's really close to Union Station, easy to walk to and a nice place to sit down and do some work. I'll be coming back and hoping the espresso machine is cleaned by then.“

“A place very popular with public employees who work in the area, all with their good identification badge around their necks.
Places frequented by workers usually guarantee good food at reasonable prices, and the Atrium Cafe is no exception.
For a bagel with cheese, an egg sandwich, a yogurt with cereals and berries and a large coffee we cost $18: less than 10 dollars each.“

“Great little spot located in an office building! Food is very good and pre-recession priced so it’s really nice to stop by often. Only reason I rate the atmosphere low is how hard it can be to get in there cause you have to park below and walk up“

“$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. If I lived close by, I would probably come here every day ??♀️“

“I recently visited the New Carrollton Café inside the New Carrollton Amtrak station, and I had a good experience. Granted the ongoing construction in and around station make it a little interesting to navigate but the café is open every day from 5:30 AM to 8 PM, making it the perfect stop for early mornings or late afternoons. The staff, especially the ladies working there, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable, and the café offers a great selection of food and drinks—pretty much anything you’d expect from a café, including popcorn! It's a perfect little spot to grab a bite or drink while traveling through the station.“
